Speculative fiction is an exciting and fast-evolving genre. This course will offer writers the chance to develop one to two speculative short stories and to participate in a critique workshop with peers. Along the way, study craft and learn from stories written by some of today's most prominent voices, such as Rivers Solomon, Ursula K. Le Guin, Octavia Butler and more!

This six-week online workshop is open to all writers over the age of 50 who are interested in writing their memoir. Each week we’ll do close readings of memoirs written by writers over 50, spanning a wide range of narrators and narrative approaches.

College Admissions Essay will center on the Common Application essay prompts. Students applying to colleges that use their own applications are welcome to bring another essay prompt into class and work with it instead. Each student will complete one essay during the class, learning from and inspiring the others.

In this online writing course, author Belinda Murrell will provide feedback on your writing for children, enabling you to hone your skills over five months. Feedback will vary depending on each submission, but it may focus on areas such as storytelling, plot, structure, characterisation, theme or voice.

An introduction to the key elements and craft strategies of fiction, with a focus on creating and refining character-based stories (whether short stories or novels).

Over six weeks, participants will embark on a creative journey to produce six short stories, exploring various themes, genres, and writing techniques. This course offers a unique blend of writing prompts, workshops, and critical feedback sessions that encourage writers to experiment and grow.
