I ran over to the ice cream truck to purchase a popsicle. This heatwave had me acting like a child. Running to line up with the kids to have a rootbeer popsicle. I looked forward to cooling myself down. The day was already at 40degrees. As I ate the popsicle or should I say tried to eat the popsicle, before it was a rootbeer drink, it was melting so fast in my hands. As leaned forward to try and gobble it up, I noticed a few kids laughing my way. I smiled and looked at them with a goofy expression. All of a sudden their popsicles were meltin...

"Wait a second, where are you taking me?" These men two of them had a hold of both my arms and were leading me to god knows where. "You know what you did" one of the big gentleman said. I retaliated, "No I don't actually!" After giving them a little fight, I realized it was useless. I didn't need to fight them. I know I have done nothing wrong, as I searched through my memory box. Making sure I wasn't mean to anyone and did something, I wasn't supposed to do. The two men led me to a black cadillac, the new limo kind. Wait why was I thinking ...
Pip put on her saftey gear and headed out in to the empty streets of Vancouver. She was alone, there was barely anyone left in the city she was born and raised in. The 2020 pandemic took everyone she had ever known. There were people around, but mainly people she had to protect herself from. Everyone was an enemy and she knew, she had to keep herself safe, until it was her time to leave this earth. She got on her bike and rode to the local grocery store to see what was available. The people left around her part of town, were pretty good, the...

I woke up to the Sun shining in my eyes. I squinted and moved my head from the direction of the Sun, before I opened my eyes with a big smile on my face. The only way to wake up for me is with a big smile on my face. I made my way out of bed and walked over to the doorway of my twenty year old daughter's room. As I watched her gathering her things to go off to the beach with her friends. She looked up and saw me smiling at her. "Morning Mom", she ran over and planted a big kiss on my cheek. "Morning Boo," I said stretching out my arms to g...

She knew she should run, as she felt her approaching behind in the crowd at the train station. Journey, knew if she stopped to say hello her "friendly" enemies words would spread hate to each inch of Journey's skin that was bare. As she thought of her outfit only her hands and face were bare. She knew she had to change up her look, her look was becoming too easy to spot. She didn't want to be rude, her heart was too kind, and she knew she had to start being a little stand offish, but she couldn't something inside of her always willed her to...
I guess you could say she lived alone, but she didn't. She had a roommate. He gave her so much space in a comfortable way that it felt like a little of both living alone, yet with a roommate/friend. It was a new life for her very different than the one she had before. She had been removed from the life she once had, away from friends and family that she had always known. At first she wasn't used to it, but she was slowly getting used to less company around her. The familiarities of her life were not the same, but had changed in different way...

Hmm type out a short story about a craft I have put on hold for sometime. As I sit here and think about it, there is a lot of things that I have not done in a very long time. It has been a long time since I sat down at this desk to write anything, I missed it a little. Let me start with I am not a writer, I am someone that likes to type, so in order to type I write thoughts, I guess you could say or little stories, with no rules. Punctuation rules, that is. I hope that is ok? it's probably why I stopped writing in the first place. Someone ...

So today is a new day and I decided I was going to do whatever made me happy for now. And right now it was running outside and letting the Sun beat down on me, most people I see on television are usually dancing in the rain. Me not me I dance in the sunlight the beauty of a sunny day is unbeatable in my eyes. I love the sunshine and the warmth it brings to my skin and mind. You know what they say, they say everyone needs vitamin d in their life. It is something I always agreed with. As I sit in my favorite chair looking out the window, sippi...

Everything was different than how I remembered, but it was better. My eyes were lighting up at what I was seeing. I looked around me and noticed the streets looked the same as where I live, but they were futuristic. There was less of everything and the air was cleaner. There were floating lights that resembled jellyfish, but they floated and gave us light. Wait, us? I hadn't noticed anyone else. I did notice flying objects that resembled small glass domes, that looked similar to the vehicles from the "Jetsons". Am I stuck in a cartoon from t...

Who would have known? twenty years ago , I would end up in a place I'd never imagined. Don't get me wrong, it's a gorgeous place. Things happen, such as a world pandemic, changing my life forever. The entire City was on lockdown, I lost my job and my condo all within a month. It was the beginning of a new year, 2020 everyone was buzzing. The excitement of what 2020 would bring t our City. Vancouver was growing, the last four years were marvelous on the ecenomic front. Our Convention Center being one of the top three in the world, hosting ...
