Maria, Maria, why, now is not the time, to get cold fingers. Tugging at your heart strings to stay away, so easy to pull up those bed covers up. To miss your audition with Miss Duponte. Imagine the apploud in the auditoriums around the world."My dear this is your opportunty to shine. It may not come again. You have poise stamina and inner strength. You have told yourself this for eighteen lean years. When your mother took in extra sewing, being a single parent. To pay for those dance lessons and special leather ballet pumps. It never came che...

Oscar was Oscar, no one could change him? once he decided on a method of doing something. Stuborn as a mule? Over the years others had come to accept him for who he had become. The word came to mind methodical as a boy his books lined up in a straight line on a shelf above his bed. His treasured telescope upon his neat writing desk. Where he studied insects how they bred and multipled. Watching every movement through the telescope. Was this the sign of a murder or eccentric youth. So many hours in his room, not like other boys. No pranks or mi...

This story relates to trauma and well being. The love of life and acceptance regarding change and moving forward to revolve again with the support and kindness from others. Brenda watched the wind blow against the window pane, of her small apartment over looking the sandy beach and rocks. Trying to remain positive thinking happy thoughts. Picnics on the beach, the odd bottle of iced wine shared with friends. Sunny blue skies with the sea gulls floating by. The waves lapping along coastline with just a slight breeze. Fishing boats bobbing o...

Rene Devine looked out to sea, from his small studio amid the rocks, he felt at peace to continue his art. People came from North and South to see his work transpire on canvas. The sea it self held many secrets and it could be calm or temperamental. He could paint a pleasant cottage scene. With flowers in the garden and smoke curling in blue in blue and grey hues from the chimney pot. Or if you wanted drama a lifeless body upon the cliff tops with pink grey sky with seagulls circling the air.It had been an inspirational idea to turn his aunt...

It happened again your too taken by surprize and shock to say anything at the time. About the rudeness of others. Well she walked right in front of me towards the checkout in the supermarket. Some would have said "This lady or gentle man was first." She look around slowly opening her purse checking her club cards, before handing the assistant a fifty pound note. Not enough change in the till. Hence having to wait for the till to be checked. All because rather than argue, or kick up a scene, I did the decent thing or so I thought. By letting ...

BORN TO LOVE. Old Joby Senior looked at the grey walls of the hospice, while the oak tree blew its fine green leaves against the window pane. Quite a colourful display for late Summer. A smile came to his lips. Thinking about his early love of opera and good classical music. It had started way back as a boy listening to Mozart on the old school radio just a frame it was with a screen plugged into the wall....

You could say that Aunt Fran and I Mary Louise Stoker were polar opposites. Fran was straight to the point how blunt her words may sound. She was also mothers sister. Out living all her siblings. Looking at old photos of Fran in her heyday former model and actress. You could not imagine her as the old woman sitting in the arm chair. Tonight I had come to walk her terrier Rufus all white with brown over his left eye a trait with Jack Russels. At least Rufus was pleased to see me. Getting the lead we headed for the park opposite Thorn Cottage....
