“The Last Stand of Henry and Ann” by Larry Crum

Hand-in-hand, they bowed their heads to pray.“Dear Lord, thank You for this day. Thank You for this food and for the chance to share it together. May Your blessing rain down on us during these trying times. Watch over us, guide us and protect us as Your will be done. Amen.” A cricket chirped outside.
