I watch intently as she undoes her shoelaces, her short, wavy, brunette hair cascading down around her face like a chocolate fountain. Her nimble fingers move slowly until she frees he foot from her converse. I gradually sit up, catching the attention of Raine. Iβm sitting on a bench at the empty train station when a magpie hops along the train tracks.
