This is the same message from other stories but in my own words.

Dear Reedsy,

You have been emailed many times but you seem to have ignored them entirely. We need you to respond, please.

It's about downvoting.

Don't read that sentence and blow through the rest of this message because you don't care enough to listen.

Mira Caplan, has been downvoted from the tens of thousands to the ultimately low point value of 709. Do you know how many downvoters it takes to do that? People are leaving Reedsy because this shrikes a blow to their author selves. One Reedsy writer for example is Blxxii, she plans on leaving Reedsy for the sake of downvoters.

Many of my fellow Reeders were downvoted thousands of points, it's unbelievable. Here are just a few of those Reedsy writers:

Loosing so many points is a strong blow to us, all of us. We're a community, we feel the pain of our peers. Perhaps it may sound stupid to leave Reedsy because of some cruel downvoters but why are we doing this? We can never win. Simple as that; we cannot win. We can't always be there to help upvote our friends and the amount of time it takes to upvote a friend a dozen points, the downvoters can lower dozens more.

Perhaps it would be better for everyone to remove both the upvoting and downvoting button, to value the writing and community over the points. We have ideas, we're open to suggestions, we're willing to bargain. Because hear us, Reedsy, all we want is to make our community a place where we can connect and share stories safely.

We know you may never see our messages and I wish you would pay attention. I have yet to pen an email myself but others have and you have not responded to their emails. Why was the downvoting button created in the first place?

Now we know that this can't happen overnight and we understand. Please just give us a sign that you are willing to hear our ideas, that you are willing to offer suggestions, that you are willing to bargain. We want, and need, to work together to fix this.
