"The brief for ‘Enough.’ called for a “clean, crisp, and straight to the point” cover. This was understandable, since these are features of many of the best tech-related covers, and so the challenge at the core of this project was to balance the tech aesthetic with elements that reflected the thoughtful psychology that runs through the book. This was accomplished primarily through the use of a warmer colour palette, which was also applied to create a unique wordmark for the title."

"Melissa’s brief was to create a cover reflecting motherhood without a 'perfect' depiction of mother and child (so that the title is open to interpretation). I used a painting with smooth, sweeping brushstrokes, added texture, and applied earthy, natural colors to convey the warmth of motherhood and a connection to nature. The dark green subtly evokes a mother's hand offering milk. The large white type, familiar in self-help, paired with an elegant typeface, oozes femininity and sophistication."

"Corporate strategy books don't often allow for much wit or boldness, so we worked with what we had. The title provided a clue, particularly the number 'nine.' I envisioned a grid of nine squares in different colors, dominated by a large number 9 with the title superimposed. I selected a subdued yet cheerful palette and a deco-inspired font (Blakely) that adds charm while remaining sober enough to avoid raising any corporate hackles."
