ATRG #5: The Search for the Four Masters

Gray tried to blend in, of course, but how do you blend in a party with people shouting at you left and right? He hadn’t been to a party in years, but Konan had asked him to find those four people that would help them in their research. Or, at least, two of the so-called "Four Masters".

When you are a trickster god, it’s easy to ruin your cover. Gray had morphed into a twenty year old with black hair, but he couldn’t resist refilling his drink with a flick of his hands. There were several close calls, where some intoxicated youngster wandered over to him to try and say hello and then saw him filling his glass with magic. Gray had almost used his magic on them, but then they would throw up or faint, and he would breathe a sigh of relief.

Looking for some bright blue hair or a red tunic was near impossible here, and Gray just wished he had asked his hotel where they were staying.

Unless...They didn’t even come to the party? Impossible. The four of them are always in the spotlight. Bastards.

Someone elbowed him, and Gray shoved the offener back. He hated alcohol, which was surprising given that he was a trickster. But when your mind goes fuzzy and your brain shuts off, then you start doing stupid things. And Gray likes stupid things, but only the ones he makes.

Tugging at his fancy tie(he had dressed up for the party-- he seriously wished he hadn’t now) Gray ran into the ballroom, hoping for at least a lead.

Nope. Just an empty space. And chairs.

There was, however, an odd-looking old woman, who was sitting on a ball…

A green one. He had found his miracle.

Edging towards the woman, he tapped her shoulder.

“Whattya want, sonny? You know you can’t go around randomly tapping people!”

Gray tried to give her Konan’s charming grin, but probably failed because she frowned.

“I’m sorry to bother you, but my friend needs your assistance. And your partners.”

The old woman shook her head once, then asked “Who is your friend?”

“Konan.”

“Konan, eh? I remember when she was a kid-”

“Can we save this for later? Like, what’s your answer? Ma’am?”

The woman rolled her eyes and asked “Is it about the slime?”

Gray replied “Will you help save the world?”

The old woman stretched and started bouncing on her ball. 

“If I must. Now, come with me, sonny. Name’s Guru Andma. And my partners...well, let’s just drag them away from the party.”

Gray gulped. This was a fircre old woman. He hoped that she was the correct Guru.

A tall, blue-haired lady sat at the bar, sipping her wine, and looking around. Next to her, a strongly built man sat at the stool, looking grumpy and drinking water. The third one was a black and yellow haired, (almost) bare chested male, flexing his stomach. Of course, being 18, he couldn't drink wine, or beer. But he did steal a gulp. 

The blue haired lady hiccuped once, and asked “Where is Guru Andma?”

The gruff looking man grunted, and the other man said “Chilling at the ballroom. She said she hates noise.”

“S-she said that? I should stop drinking…”

The woman put down her glass, and almost tipped off her seat, if not for a fourth person.

“Hi.” Grinned Gray, pushing her back onto her seat.

“Allegra! I told you not to drink too much!” 

Guru Andma was faster than she seemed, and Gray was very impressed. But her comrades..That was another story.

Allegra seemed very pretty, but she had a pink face. And was hiccuping. A lot.

Ugh, alcohol.

The redhead looked scary, and had huge arms.

The other boy looked eighteen, and, Gray deduced, was more or less a duplicate of Hidan.

“So..You guys are Guru Andma’s partners?”

“So what if we are?”

The redhead had finally talked, and was squinting at Gray.

“Armando! Be nice to him!” Guru Andma looked at Gray. “Sorry, Armando’s a little hard to get close to.”

“It’s fine. I know a lot of people like that.”

“You do? Where? Did they come with you or something? Actually, before I even asked you that, who the heck are you?” 

The yellow-haired boy was bouncing in his seat, and Gray coughed--he and Hidan would probably hit it off right away.

“Uh..I’m Gray, a trickster god, and I am from the Akatsuki research team. Konan, the leader, sent me to look for you guys.”

The boy was about to reply when Guru Andma said “Let’s just get out of here. We’ll go to our apartment, and then we will formally introduce ourselves.”

Allegra’s mind had cleared from the wine she was drinking, and as she and her partners sat at their table, Gray came in and sat down.

“Sorry, had to transform back.”

Apparently, he wasn’t a twenty year old man. He looked like a kid, a gray haired one, with wings.

“So. Time for the introductions.”

Guru Andma nodded at Allegra, and she started.

“I’m Allegra, a model and painter. I also am very skilled at medicine.”

Huh. Maybe she is one of the two from these four.

“Armando. Boxer. Good at fighting.”

Well that was short.

“My name’s Abdonis! Don’t ask how I got such a weird name, my mom’s a fucking priest, so that’s why. I do photography, and sports.”

Gray half wheezed at Abdonis’s name, but caught himself.

Guru Andma cleared her throat, and shot a warning look at Abdonis.

“I am Guru Andma, leader of The Four. I am a yoga master, skilled healer, and friends with the priestess of Solar Plexia.”

A-ha. Number two of the two.

“And I’m Gray, trickster god, scout for the Akatsuki.”

“So, what does Ms. Konan want?”

Gray was about to reply, when his phone buzzed, and he read the message from Konan.

Hurry back as soon as you find The Four.

Then another one:

The Six Paths of Pain are back.

Abdonis voiced what Gray was thinking.

“What the fuck is The Six Paths of Pain?” 

Guru Andma was too shocked to berate him.

“Hell no, hell no, hell no-”

“Kama, saying that is not going to make those shitty corpses go away.”

Hours after Kakuzu’s disappearance, Konan reported that six figures were trying to get into the base. Me and Sasori had arrived at the front door, and I was absolutely terrified of them.

Konan appeared behind us.

“Itachi and Kisame are coming. You guys just need to collect some data. And stalling time for Gray.”

Gray was on a tracking mission. I hadn’t heard of him for a while.

“And also...Before you guys fight, I want you to know something. The person controlling these corpses is my ex-boyfriend.”

So, RingFit is now in ATRG! Enjoy Hidan and Abdonis causing mischief(IF HIDAN IS STILL ALVIE- DUNDUNDUN)
