All your life you've been struggling, 

Looking for relief from the sandpaper.

The sandpaper that has weathered your skin,

Making you bleed and cry.

The sandpaper that has been there your whole life,

Been a constant negative.

Maybe that sandpaper is for the better.

You may not believe me now,

But one day you'll see that

That sandpaper 

Has shaped you into something more beautiful than you already were.

The Pen vs. The Sword

The pen is mightier than the sword.

Some say that's not true.

They say you cannot fight with a pen.

They say you cannot kill with a pen.

They say you cannot make war with a pen.

But you can.

You can.

You can fight for justice. You can fight for hope. You can fight for people who do not have the ability to fight for themselves.

You can kill doubt with a pen. You can kill fear with a pen. You can kill almost any issue with a pen.

You can make a war against hunger with a pen. You can make war against war. You can make war against those who think they are higher than anyone else.

So, is a pen not mightier than a sword?

Well, swords are hard to write with.

March for the month of the pandemic. The month that led to more months of death and depression for millions. The month that led to more months of face masks and resistance and Karens.

March for what matters. Some march for the black. Some march for the blue. Some march until they are black and blue. March for the matter.

March against brutality. March against the authority, who think they are above the authority. March against the authority who think they can kill without reason. Kill without mercy.

March against eight minutes and forty six seconds. Kneel to end kneeling. End the silence. Turn on the light for justice.

March for the dead. March for the fallen. March for those who cannot march for themselves. March against ignorance. March for change.
