From time immemorial, arches rivaled: archangels, archdukes, arch-enemies, arch-nemesies, even archaism itself.

Wesley :"Hey, Google, tell Siri to contact Alexa, Bing & Cortana. Arches are going Archie to nab ship AI, as crew is in chaos. Arch info STAT!"

AI in Hitchhiker's Guide voice: "An arch was a structure in 24th century Starfleet holodecks which surrounded their entrance doors. It had computer control panels and interfaces when participants wished to modify the current program, communicate throughout the ship, or access most general computer functions. (Star Trek Generations; TNG: "Elementary, Dear Data")

When a holographic program was running, the arch was typically hidden holographically. It could be made to materialize by voice command. The arch was then visible to participants, and even though the holographic characters generally did not perceive the arch, there were exceptions. (Star Trek Generations; TNG: "Elementary, Dear Data")

A related voice command, "Exit", was used to remove the holographic environment around the arch and holodeck door when participants wished to leave the holodeck without closing the program. (Star Trek: The Next Generation, et al.)

Although the arch appeared frequently in scenes on the holodeck on The Next Generation, it was strangely absent in most holodeck episodes on Deep Space Nine and all Voyager episodes, often requiring characters to search for manual holodeck controls somewhere in the environment during a malfunction instead. However, in "Twisted", Harry Kim uses the command "computer, arch", (which doesn't work, as there is a malfunction) but it is reasonable to assume that the Holodeck on Voyager "hides" the arch until it is required."

Wesley: "Cross-link to AI Core. See? It rewired 369 parallel in real time. That surge will blow out breakers & put AI kernel in peril."

AI in Hitchhiker's Guide voice: "It's down at Holodeck Arches NP, looping into the matrix...

The movements of the Southern Dragon style (traditional name Lung Ying "Dragon Form"; Chinese: 龍形摩橋; pinyin: lóng xíng mó qiáo; Cantonese Yale: long4 ying4 mo1 kiu4; lit. Arches National Park is located in southeast Utah, five miles north of Moab on US 191. From Moab, Utah, drive five miles north on Main Street/US 191. Turn right at the stoplight. From Interstate 70, take exit 182 (Crescent Junction), then drive south 28 miles on US 191. Turn left at the stoplight.

Plan on spending at least a few hours in the park, exploring the scenic drive and several of the viewpoints and short trails. Wesley: "Captain's Log, Stardate 41636.9. As Acting Captain, until crew returns from Orgyland, I proclaim Arches plot doa & officially promote Spot to ship mascot. Wesley Crusher out."

AI in Hitchhiker's Guide voice: "Star Trek: The Next Generation season 7 featured Wesley Crusher (Wil Wheaton) becoming a Traveler, a role that comes with a unique set of powers. Wesley Crusher was a semi-regular character on Star Trek: TNG and served as acting Ensign on the USS Enterprise-D for the first four seasons of the show, before joining Starfleet Academy and appearing less often in later seasons. After dropping out of the Academy in season 7, Wesley finally found his destiny and joined an organization called the Travelers, a mysterious group whose existence had been previously teased throughout the franchise. While not much is known about the Travelers' true nature, they were described by Wesley as a collective of individuals with special abilities who protected the flow of time. The Travelers and their assistants, the Supervisors, helped ensure the correct progression of time by watching the timeline and dispatching agents to enact changes when needed. Wesley joined the Travelers after a few encounters with an alien who simply called himself The Traveler (Eric Menyuk) during Star Trek: TNG. The Traveler recognized Wesley's potential upon their first meeting and helped nurture his budding powers during subsequent encounters. Wesley Crusher's Traveler powers include the ability to travel through time, stop time, move through different space-time dimensions, see and monitor the timeline and the fabric of reality, and make changes to space-time when needed. While the franchise has yet to show Wesley using all of his powers, The Traveler demonstrated and described many of these abilities during his first appearance in Star Trek: TNG season 1, episode 6, "Where No One Has Gone Before". Given that Wesley has now fully become one of the Travelers, he likely has access to all of these abilities even if he hasn't used them on-screen. The abilities Wesley has demonstrated or described on-screen include stopping time and monitoring the timeline to watch for events where intervention is needed. Wesley briefly stopped time during a fight between Cardassian forces and Federation colonists in Star Trek: TNG season 7, episode 20, "Journey's End", an event that showed him he had the ability to become a Traveler. Later, when he appeared to Kore Soong (Isa Briones) in Star Trek: Picard season 2, episode 10, "Farewell", Wesley described how and why he and his "colleagues" monitored the flow of time in an effort to convince Kore to join the Travelers, an offer which she accepted."
