The Runaway

On a faraway land there lived a little princess. Now, this little princess was turning 14 very soon, and as it was back then that once you turned 14 you had to choose someone to run the kingdom. Now, this princess wanted to rule her kingdom by herself but her parents would not have a word of it. I suppose I should tell you the name of this princess, Eliza Victoria Dun Such the 3rd.

Once the princes came to see her Eliza was filled with so much anger that she stole some boy clothes and ran away. Now of course there were dragons in the grasslands. But, she had forgotten about these dangers. So little did she know that great parallel would probably soon come?

As She set on her great journey, she had to stop at the royal stables. She took her favorite horse; this horse was a kind and loving horse but also very fast. Midnight (the horse) galloped out of the stables as people jumped out of the way. But, little did she know the castle was on full lockdown and they were all in panic running and screaming "where is the princess!!!".

Though Eliza was having the time of her life - free finally. As if she was a bird soaring through the sky. This was as far as she had ever gone outside the castle. But, she had gone too far away from the castle and was now going toward Dragon Valley.

Eliza was very unlucky because a fire horn tail was looking hungry. But, this dragon had left her eggs and now left the eggs. And a runaway princess coming around an egg hatching. Lucky though that it was only one egg.

As she approached the egg as an earsplitting crack came. Through the mess, the most adorable baby dragon came up and started latching onto Eliza. She had almost screamed in the surprise of this. She had tried very hard to leave the baby dragon but she ended up having to take him. Midnight was very scared of this new and frightening creature. Then they go to continue their adventure

While at the castle everyone was in a panic. Her mother was crying in sadness and disappointment at her daughter’s choices. And the king sent all his horses and men to find the lost princess.

Meanwhile, the mother dragon had flown back to her nest. Roaring in the anguish of her lost hatchling. She kept crying and grieving over her son. But in the valley, three new dragon babies were born.

Along with our adventure princess, dragon, and horse in all. They came to a small village. In this village lived a blacksmith’s son a skinny and lengthy 15-year-old. As she was finding her way to the blacksmith for more horseshoes. As she went to find it getting lost she bumped into the boy Julvin Little. (She was dressed like a boy and tried to look like one so she would not be recognized) She lowered her voice and said Hello do you know where the blacksmith is. He took her to his father’s shop and quickly got on the new shoes.

Now Eliza talking lots said, “ Are you the blacksmith?” “Oh, no no my father is I am simply an apprentice,” he replied quickly. So then silence came after that because his mother had called him. Quietly waiting for him to come back. Soon she was free again now making friends along the way. Pretty sure some people fainted when they saw the dragon.

As we all know Eliza is bound to meet the mother dragon soon. In the North grassland. The dragon had flown away to find a new hunting ground. As they all travel to the grassland. Then set camp, fire made by the baby dragon. Very early in the morning as they had gotten a huge dragon had shown up. Once it had seen the little dragon she started roaring at it. Eliza could not understand but after an hour of constant roaring, the baby dragon left.

After this loss, it didn’t feel the same. Always being cold no firelight. But the men had caught up with her she kept running away but they kept following her. After months of chasing her. They caught far enough with her that they caught her and she was taken back to the castle.

As she walks back to the familiar castle walls. Greeted with shocked faces. And Her mother’s tear-stained face and her father’s face looking happier than he ever had. The talk with her father went on her mother very angry with this compromise. That Eliza would marry someone she picked from a dance and she gets to run the kingdom how she wants.

A day to the dance all boys getting ready to meet the beautiful princess. A gorgeous dress in an aqua dress. The night of the ball as all the boys filled the room. The Blacksmith boy was there too. Till’ all the boys arrived she was allowed to come and greet everyone. One by one they came, Eliza looking bored until a Julvin Little came up.

He had to dance with her and not until after the dance he found out about when she ran away. He was very shocked to hear this news. And Eliza after dancing with all the people had gotten so tired. So her announcer said, “You may all go home now a letter will be sent to the one the princess has chosen.” all people were forced out of the castle.  

As the next week came along and a letter was sent out to Julvin Little the new king. Now Eliza thought about how it was not fair to her to have no power over the thrown so she made it that they each get to rule the kingdom together. Now they live their days happy through the sacrifices they had to make for this to happen but now all is well. Even though Eliza’s mother died of natural causes. And they lived happily ever after THE END.
