April fools day," Whos the fool now"?

Thomas was always known for being the one who would avoid the one day in April that he hated, he had been pranked so much as a boy that when April fools day came He would try so hard not to go out or do anything that meant he would have to leave his apartment empty or have to face the public, Thomas had many friends, he was a well liked person, and in the past he had a bad habit of playing jokes on people and they became so bad that he was told not to do any more because he took then to the extreme and people lives were becoming damaged by Thomas, So the day before April 1 Thomas would make sure that he hid away and kept to himself, he would turn off his phone and pretend not to be home, But what thomas didn't know was that while he was busy worrying, His friends all knew his habits and thought that maybe this year they would all go over to his house and hang out with him, break the same ole pattern, IN Thomas's mind he would dwell on what he had done in the past and he was always on the alert, he only did this in April, A He was always told that pay backs are hell and one day, all those years of him playing Master prankster would creep up on him, Thomas was a normal guy for the most part, he lived a normal life, But when April 1st rolled around he would start to get a little nervous and act a little funny ( out of sorts) He would make sure that he had that day off of work and plan those 24 hours a week ahead of time, March 31 came and it all started again like clock work, he thought that maybe this year he could maybe just do something different and not worry, he had to face facts and realize that he had to stop being so afraid of the one thong that he had been doing to his friends for years, and that maybe if he went to a hotel room that his troubles would be over, He only told a friend who was a state away and who didn't know the group of friends that he pranked in the past , He thought that he would be safe only telling that one Person,he told that friend he was changing his routine this year and maybe He'd escape his fear of the unknown prank that was fore told by his friends, that lived in the same building , He had this grand plan that if he went out of town that none would have access to him or his paranoia, Turn about is fair play, So Thomas packed up a small suit case and headed to the hotel in the next town over, On the calendar it said March 31, he then looked at the clock on the wall and it was like 300 pm and so he went out the door, Happy and smiling, He actually was humming, and he walked to his car , got in and drove away, when he got to the hotel room, he let out big sigh of relief and settled in for the rest of the evening, the only thing that he found weird was that the hotel front desk person, was acting very strange and acted like she didn't really know what she was doing, He felt that she was not very professional and might even call the district manger in the morning, She didn't even know where his room was, Or if they had breakfast in the lobby in the morning, He looked around and everything that had a time or date all said March 31, he

He then ordered some room service and he even had a glass of wine, he was feeling better, when he signed the ticket for room service, it said March 31, Thomas then decided that he should just crawl in bed and maybe sleep the rest of March 31 away and hid out for duration of the night and he knew as long as his friends didn't know where he was they couldn't get to him, days, So April 1 came and he felt like he was out of the range, he then looked at the clock and it was check out time,, Thomas left the key in the hotel room, he walked out to his car and drove home, He then had a flash back, he remembered that he had to pay a bill on his cable would be turned off, So he rushed home and threw his suit case on the couch, He went to his den to get his check book, He was going to fill out a check and drop it off at the cable company in person,

He then got in his car and headed to the cable company, when he got there, there was one car in the parking lot , He found that to be odd, He parked his car and walked up to the door, It was closed, He stood there and looked puzzled, So he then dropped the bill off and walked back to his car, on his cell the date was April 1 , he just wanted to not be seen by the group of friends, so he thought i still have until 12am to avoid being pranked so maybe ill drive to the coast and wait it out, when Thomas got to his destination, he walked to the sand, and waked along the wet part of the beach, He really felt that his fear and paranoia, was finally over, he felt that he was able to move on and not fear April 1 any more, Well the day turned to night and he knew it was time to go home, As he drove home, he had a lot of time to think about all the times he pranked people and how much it really hurt people, and he made him self a promise that the next day he would apologize to is friends, He drove home and when he got home, he pulled in his drive way and noticed that the lights were on in his house and there were people in his apartment, they were loud and people were laughing, He walked slowly to his door, and looked inside, To his surprise all of his friends were there and they all yelled we got you we got you, it took him a minute to focus, His Friends were all there, " You got me" Thomas said, How and what do You mean? """ They all laughed .

Then his one friend came up tp him and said ""We were all in this together, we had planned this since last April, We pranked you,

Thomas said "How, I left my house March 31, They then said we staged all of the dates that made you think April 1 was yesterday, But in all reality you totally missed April 1, cause we organized it so that your dates on your phone were wrong the dates and time in your car was wrong, and we even told the hotel that we were playing a trick on you, The hotel person who checked you in doesn't even work there, we paid her help us out, Everything fro the cell phone to the ticket that you signed was staged, and your friend from Oregon, who you thought you could tell, we got a hold of him on face book and he agreed to help us out with all your information, He spilled his beans, He thought that it would teach you a very important lesson, and I think it worked, It was a very hard lesson to learn at your expense, But now you know how it feels and we are all even, ""

Thomas looked shocked, He then walked over to his kitchen opened up the refrigerator and opened up a beer, "" OK then what day is it "" They all yelled April 2nd, The prank is on you """"
