The Campers

A long time ago, there was a family of 4 people. Noah was Liam and Penelope's father, and Noah was married to Carol. Noah and Carol didn't have the best marital relationship, but they decided to stay together for they're children. Liam was 6 years old, only 1 year younger than Penelope. one day, on a hot, August day, the lights went out. Carol and Noah stumbled around to find the home phone, and when they finally found it, they dialed the electric company. Noah said,"Carol, that's a waste of time, the electricity just went out and the home phone is connected to the electricity." Carol sighed and woke up the children. When Penelope woke up, she asked,"What happened to all of the lights?" Carol replied," The lights went out, sweetie, so we need to find some lights." The whole family got up and searched for some battery-powered lights. Unfortunately, none of them found anything so they sat in the darkness to talk and think. Noah said,"Maybe this will be a good learning experience for the kids!" Carol answered,"I don't know, what do you have in mind?" Noah thought for a while and said,"We have some old tents in the garage. I think we can camp in the backyard for a while." Liam remarked,"That'll be awesome!" and Carol reluctantly said,"Alright, but maybe we should grab some supplies for the night, and maybe some food and water." Noah agreed and set up everything. 3 hours later, everything was set up and everybody had put they're sleeping bags down and were settled in. When nighttime came around, everybody put down they're board games and tucked themselves into they're sleeping bags. 6-7 hours later they woke up and discovered that the lights were back on. They all high-fived each other, but seconds later, they realized that someone was missing. They looked around and found out that it was LIAM. They yelled for him, screamed his name, and even called out a police search party, but they couldn't find him. for 23 years, they worried, searched, and even called a 10 year police search party to search, but it was no use. On Penelope's 30 birthday a 29 year old man showed up without an invitation. Penelope's fiancee, Paul, said,"Excuse me, we have no idea who you are, so we need to ask you what your name is." The man answered in a low voice,"I am Liam." Paul stared, and stared, and then realized, "You're Penelope's lost brother?" Liam said,"Yes, I am. And you know why I ran away? Because nobody cared about me. Yes, I might've overreacted, but at least I wasn't stuck there." At that moment, Penelope walked over, and after a few minutes she said," But Mom and Dad didn't treat you any differently than me. To be honest, I think that they treated you better than me!" Liam considered this and said, "But you didn't see when Mom and Dad sent you to sleep, they would pick me up and force me to watch them fight, and Dad would beat Carol, and I couldn't do anything about it!" Penelope said, "Well, I guess that might be true because Mom was always a bit quiet. Would you like to live with me and Paul while you're making a life?" Liam answered, "No thank you, but I already have a business making and selling cookies." Penelope asked, "Where did you learn to cook?" "I taught myself, and would you like to taste some later?" Penelope agreed, and they all moved into Liam's house. Once Penelope arrived at his house, she realized that Liam was a very sophisticated young man. Paul looked around, awed, and asked,"How did you get this wonderful house?" Liam answered, "You know the cookie shop I was talking about? Well, it got bankrupt and I got some insurance money because it burnt down." Penelope remarked, "That's interesting." They all walked into the bedrooms and picked each one of they're bedrooms to sleep in. During the night, Liam was talking in his sleep about a war between him and an old friend. Penelope and Paul woke up and went to him to listen closely. They couldn't listen very closely, but they new he was talking about a war. When morning came, during breakfast, they tried to get the answers out of him subtly. Paul asked,"Have you heard of any "war" recently?" Liam answered, "Well, I have been having kind of a recent "war" you could say, with one of my friends. It's about my cookie shop. the reason that it became bankrupt is because he stopped everybody from coming to my shop. He was exploiting his rights as a mayor in California." Penelope said, "Oh, I didn't realize that you were having a fight with one of your ex-friends". Liam, "Oh, it's ok. By the way, how do you know I was having a fight with my friend". Paul, "Um, to be honest, we were hearing you talk in your sleep." Liam, "Oh, well I do that a lot of the time, I didn't think you'd realize." Penelope said, "No its ok, so what do you do most of the time around here?" Liam thought for a moment and said, "I'll be right back." He took his wallet and headed toward the nearby supermarket to look for some video and board games. While he was doing that, Penelope and Paul were talking about they're marriage and what they would do to get a new house. They had some private talks and some other conversations and then they decided that they didn't want to live anywhere else. They wanted to stay with Liam because they needed him and he needed them. When Liam came back, he brought a movie called Lawrence Of Arabia. It was a great movie and all of them liked the movie. 6 hours later, they were all tired and worn out. Paul and Penelope and Liam all went to sleep. They had a good night's rest, and for the first time in years, Liam didn't talk in his sleep about the war because he had told someone about the war.
