“When I grow up, I want to be an astrophysicist,” I said. My name is Bryanne. Had medium-length dark brown hair, almost black, and pale blue eyes. I live in Toronto, Canada. I am 15 years old. Today was December 31st, 2035. I had a dream about going to space. I always had. But this time, I had a dream of working for it.
When I was 11 years old, I had always wanted to be able to go to space. But I thought that I would be lost and lose oxygen. The truth is, that I love space. It is very peaceful. But I didn’t want to lose my life because of discovery.
“But, I thought you wanted to be an astronaut,” said my Mom. Her name was Holland.
“I know, Mom, but I am just afraid that I might be lost, and that everything might not be right. I want to be an astrophysicist so that I can help out the astronauts and do the right thing.”
“Oh dear, you are so thoughtful,” gushed my Mom. “You are always looking forward to the future.
“Thanks, Mom,” I said.
Then my brother, Wells, arrived.
“Hey sis,” he said. “Looking good.”
“Thanks, bro,” I said. My brother was 18 years old, tall, and he had black hair. He also has bright blue eyes, almost cyan.
He was wearing a red shirt and black pants. He looked amazing.
“Dear, you look absolutely amazing,” said my Mom.
She ran to him and gave him a big hug.
“Thanks, Mom,” he said. Then he turned to me.
“Who do you want to be when you grow up, sis?” he asked.
“An astrophysicist,” I said.
“Cool,” he said. “I want to be an astronaut.”
My mom and I looked at him. An astronaut?”
“Really?” I asked.
“Yup.”
“I thought maybe like a sports player.”
“What? No. I like sports, but, not when I grow up,” he said.
“Okey dokey,” I said.
“So, who wants to go to the movie theater?” said my Mom.
“We do,” my brother and I said.
My brother and I packed up to go to the movie theater.
The movie we are watching is called “The Unexpected.”
It’s about a woman who experiences stuff about herself as she wanders around in space trying to find out why she was unexpectedly doing things. Something like that.
What I took to the movie theater was sunglasses, coat, hat, sunscreen, money, and other things to chill out on. My other brother, named Dominic, was already attending a College School in Canada at Western, Ontario.
My Dad was busy scampering away from his workplace about where we were going to travel.
My Mom, brother, and I sat down in the middle of the movie theater and as the movie began to start, there were lots of ads playing.
“Woah,” said my brother. “So cool.”
“I know, right?” I said. “Totally my jam.”
“Kids, try and relax and enjoy while watching the movie, alright?” said my Mom.
“Alright,” we said.
As we settled down to watch the movie, it then started.
The protagonist’s name was Cryst. She likes to explore space and discover new things and millions of others. She can fly very fast through space with her board rocket and likes to take pictures of cool things.
The movie theater had a lot of people and it was 2 hours and 30 minutes long.
Meanwhile, my brother asked my Mom for more popcorn.
“Hey, Mom, could I get more popcorn?” he said.
“Sure dear,” she whispered.
He got up and went.
After a couple of minutes, there was a movie scene where Cryst was about to set herself off into space.
“Cool,” I said. “Awesome.”
“So amazing,” she said. “Totally worth it.”
As I sightsee how amazing the space she traveled was, my brother came back with more popcorn. The popcorn he was eating was caramel.
“Hey sis, hey mom,” he said.
“Hey, bro, brought us some more popcorn?” I asked.
“Yup,” he said.
He handed me and my Mom one.
“Here you go,” he said.
The movie was almost finished. During this part, we saw that she traveled throughout the milky way galaxy and started to speed off into space even further.
“Wow! She’s awesome!” I said.
“Totally,” said my brother.
As the movie finished, we got off our seats and went back outside.
“Man, how I wish was an astronaut,” said my brother.
“Same,” I said.
“What?”
“Just joking,” I laughed.
He frowned but smiled.
“Okay, kids, let us go back home,” said Mom. “I’m tired.”
We went back home to enjoy our time.
“During the ride, I said, “How beautiful are the stars.”
My brother came along and said, “How magical are they.”
We arrived home before dinnertime.
“Wow. What movie,” said my brother.
We had some ice cream after dinner.
After that, we went to sleep, very very peacefully. It was 10:00pm.
Suddenly, I heard a tap on my window.
I instantly woke up.
“Huh?” I said.
I woke up and saw someone very familiar.
I got off my bed and opened my curtain windows.
Right in front of my eyes, I saw a woman we saw in the movie we watched today.
A woman.
In space.
Cryst.
Cryst?
What was she doing here?
“C-C-Cryst?” I said.
“It seems to me that you watched my movie,” she said, looking in my room. She sounds a bit different from her movie self. She sounded like a robot. “Bryanne, I need your help. There is a huge problem in space.”
“W-What?” I said.”The huge problem?”
“I know you wanted to be an astrophysicist when you grow up, but you need to travel to space. With me. And with Wells.”
“What?” I asked. “Wells? What does my brother have to do with this?”
“Well, your brother wanted to be an astronaut when he grows up, so that is why I wanted to bring him along, too. There are some other people in space, you know. Not only me.”
“Cool,” I said. “Is he still in his room?”
“Um, oh, I forgot to wake him up,” she said. “Stay here, in your room and I will be back.”
“Okay,” I said.
She traveled back around and around my house and I heard her tap on my brother’s window.
“Hello, Wells,” I heard her say.
After I heard their conversation, Wells got out of his room and was on Cryst’s board rocket.
“Ready?” she said.
“Ready,” he said.
“But what about our pajamas?” I asked.
“Well, you don’t have to change,” said Cryst. “Now come on. “Let’s go.”
As I boarded her board rocket, I quickly asked, “ Wait, but how do we hold on?”
“It would hold you automatically,” she said.
“Okay,” I whimpered. Suddenly, someone grabbed my hand.
I looked. It was my brother.
“Don’t worry, it’s okay,” he said.
“Okay, brother,” I said. “Wells, let’s take off.”
“Okay, sis,” he said. “Brayanne, we are so ready.”
We both held each other’s hand and also Cryst’s board rocket.
“Ready?” she asked.
“Ready,” we said in unison.
Before we took off, I suddenly asked, “What about our Mom? Dad? Our eldest brother?”
“They’ll be okay. I made sure that they won’t remember you guys,” said Cryst. “With my Starduster. It makes people forget about others.”
I sighed.
As we took off and arrived in space, we saw many space things and space crafts.
It was so beautiful and magnificent.
“Wow!” I said. “So magical.”
“Told ya,” he said.
The space we flew in was very fast and very different than the space that Cryst flew in.
“Wait, how can we breathe in space?” I asked. “In fact, how are we breathing in space?”
“With my Starduster,” she said. She waved her wand-like Starduster.
“Cool,” I said. “What else does it do?”
It makes things speed, it creates beautiful illusions, it makes things brighter, creates portals, and everything that space creates,” she said.
“Can it make stars?” asked Wells.
“Well, not really, but it can make portals,” she said.
After a long pause, she asked, “What year are you guys in?”
“The Year 2035,” I replied. “Why?”
“Because I live in a different time period,” she said. “Want to hear? I live in the year 2101. There we have technological advancements there where we used to develop lots of things. It is pretty tough in the beginning but very easy at the end.”
“Awesome!” said Wells. “So awesome!”
“Yup, totally,” she said. “Now, I am going to make a portal with my Starduster. Want to see?”
“Yes,” we said.
She made a time portal with the colors light blue, purple, and blue.
“There you go, you two,” she said. “Are you ready to enter?”
“Yes,” we said.
As we entered the portal, we saw something that flashed before our eyes.
Everything was new. Everything was different.
“Wow!” I said. “So cool.”
“Yup,” she said.
Wells and I looked around. Everything was so magical and real. It was magnificent.
“So rad,” said Wells. He then took out his phone and started taking pictures.
“Isn’t everything awesome?” said Cryst. “Here in the year 2101, we take lots of pictures based on the wonderful views. And the best news is that we don’t have to worry about anything. The year 2101 is a very special place full of wonder and joy. As we travel around space, I will tell you guys two people that are very important and special.
“Like who?” said Wells.
“You’ll see,” she said.
I was so focused on the amazing year of 2101, that I forgot about the problem she had told me recently about.
“Wait, you told us there was a problem in space,” I said. “What was it?”
“Oh, yes that,” she said. “Well, the problem in space is that there are meteors flying around in space that are trying to crash the space-time. If we don’t stop them, space-time would collapse and people would be in different time zones than they were in their original time zones.
“Oh, no,” we said in unison. Wells was shocked. I was surprised.
“Basically, so that means that the people in the past would be in the future and the people in the future would be in the past,” said Wells.
“Exactly,” said Cryst. “That is why I brought you guys up here. Since you guys want to have jobs based on space, that is why I brought you guys up here to help out.”
“Cool,” we said.
“Cryst, we will help you out no matter what,” said Wells.
“Totally,” I said.
“Good job guys,” she said. “Thanks.”
“And who are those two guys you mentioned?” I asked.
“You will see,” she said.
As we flew through space-time, we arrived at a very special place.
“Wow!” I asked. “What is this place?”
“You’ll see,” she said.
We rested on the floor of the place that we are in.
“This place is called Googol Millenium,” she said. “It’s a place where people can view and see others.”
“So who or what are we going to see?” I asked.
“You’ll see, “ she said.
This time I was kind of frustrated.
“Well, who?”
“Two people that are special.”
Wells and I both looked at each other in confusion.
We entered Googol Millenium and as we crossed our way over, we saw that there were alot of people in the place.
“Wow!” I asked.
“Told ya this year was cool,” she said.
As we traveled through a long way for a very long time, we finally saw two familiar people.
“There you guys go,” she said. “Meet these people.”
She showed us a man and woman
Wells and I looked at each other again.
“Um, hello,” I said.
“Hello, me,” said the woman.
I was confused.
“Um, excuse me, ma'am?”
“I am you. From the future,” said the woman. My name is Bryanne. I am 35 years old.
“And I am you,” said the man, who looked like Wells. My name is Wells. I am 38 years old.
“Additionally, my brother and I came from the year 2055.”
Wells and I looked at each other for the third time. Shocked.
“Oh my Gosh,” I said. "Really?”
“Really?” said Wells.
“Really,” they said.
“Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. My future self,” I said. I am so happy. Yay!”
“Same!” said Wells.
He then took out his hand. His future self shook it.
“Aren’t you two so lucky?” said Cryst. “Meeting your future selves. “So amazing.”
“Because we always look forward to each other,” said Wells. He then looked at me and winked. I winked back, too.
“So since you guys met your future selves, we need the four of you to stop meteors in space,” said Cryst. “We really need your help.”
“Okay, we will do it,” said Wells. “Won’t we sis?”
“Yes!” I said.
“Okay, first you guys need some spacesuits. Flying space suits. To help you breathe in space. Second, you guys need some weapons to break the rocks. Meteors are made out of oxygen and silicon and also have heavier elements like nickel and iron. Metals usually rust from oxygen and water so we need a lot of that in order to defeat them. Third, we will make sure you guys are protected well enough and also make sure that you stop them on time.”
“Okay, got it,” I said. “But, why are we the only ones that will do it?”
“Because people in the year 2101 are always busy and if we ask them to do it, they will reject it,” she explained. That is why you four are the best option.”
“Okay,” I said, nodding. “Let us do it.”
The four of us got ready to put our space suits on and make sure that we were ready.
After a long time, we were ready.
“Okay,” said Future me. “All we do is target our weapons, water, and air at the meteors and make sure that everything is all set.”
“Got it,” said Future Wells. “Let’s do it.”
“Yes.”
“Yes.”
“Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero!” yelled Cryst. She opened the doors to set us off in space.
We headed off into space in the nick of time. There we blasted lots of meteors, with water and air, and made sure that we were safe.
“Wow! I exclaimed. “This is super cool.”
“I know, right?” said Wells. “I always wanted to be an astronaut. It is super cool.”
“You know, I don’t really want to have an only job as an astronaut,” said Future Wells. “ I mean, space is cool and all, but I also wanted to study astrology. Like study stars.”
What?!” exclaimed Wells.
“Me, I mean, I can have multiple jobs, and that’s being an astronaut and an astrologist,” said Future Wells.
“Okay, me,” said Wells.
“Hey,” said me. “So, I know that you want to be an astrophysicist, right?”
“Yes!” I said.
“I had always wanted to fight in space,” Future Me said.
“Yeah,” I said.
“But, I want to live a bright future. A good future. A future where I would enjoy and explore new things.”
“Cool,” I said. “You know, being an astrophysicist is fun, but it doesn’t really catch me, you know.”
“Yeah.”
We both hugged each other, as Future Wells and Wells looked at us.
“Hope you look forward to the future,” Future me said.
“Hope you look back into the past,” I said.
Then we both start laughing.
After defeating the meteors, there was only one more left. And it was incredibly close to the time machines.
“Oh No! We yelled.
We dashed for it together, but it was too close.
It was almost near the time machine.
“We have to try,” said Future Wells. “Three, two, one!”
We all hit the meteor before it reaches the time machines.
We all cheered, gave each other high-fives and hugs, and made sure we were okay. Then we headed back into the building.
Cryst was so happy that we were safe. She congratulated us and gave us medals. Everyone in the building cheered for us.
“Since you guys defeated the meteors, time is saved,” said Cryst joyfully.
“Yes!” we all said.
“No it’s time for you to go,” she said, sadly.
“What!” I exclaimed. “But, we just met you.”
“Yeah, but you guys have to leave,” said Cryst. “I’m sorry.”
Wells and I looked at each other.
Then Wells did something surprising.
He held up his hand and spoke.
“I, Wells Passo, would never forget the future.
I looked at him, He winked.
Then I did the same thing.
“I, Bryanne Passo, would also never forget the future.”
Our future selves gave us a super-wide smile.
Then we hugged each other and our future selves. Then we said bye to Cryst and hugged her too.
As we headed a long way back home, it was already morning.
Mom was already awake. Dad was back. So was Dominic.
“Dominic! Dad!” we yelled, as we ran to hug them.
“Hey, kids,” said my Dad.
“Hey!” Dominic said. “How are you guys? Where have you been?”
“Through something really cool,” said Wells.
“Like what?”
“Something to do with our future.”
He winked at me. I winked back.
Dad and Dominic looked at us, confused, but shrugged their shoulders and headed upstairs.
Then there was Mom. She looked surprisingly amazed.
“Oh my God,” she said. “Where were you guys? I was so worried.”
“Doing cool stuff,” I said, winking at my brother.
He winked back.
Mom had the same expression as Dad and Dominic.
“Well, okay, you guys better get comfy, because I am making you some waffles and pancakes.”
“Yum thanks, Mom,” I said.
“You’re awesome, Mom,” said Wells.
As she went into the kitchen, my brother and I talked about the future.
“Do you always look forward to the future?” he asked.
And my reply was, “Yes I do.”
