"Be careful." Sam led us down a moldy road after walking for over an hour. But the road was not the worst it had taken us, but in front of us, cutting the road, I found a cliff that hid a river at the bottom. The only cross, an old log.

"Will we have to go that way?" - Sky asked seeing the unique connection to the other side of the cliff. An old log, wet, and almost breaking.

"Come on, nothing will happen." Sam was the first to go up. Leo followed her and then Selene. I hoped Sky would continue to run away. But it didn't happen.

"I will protect you" He took hold of my waist and helped me up.

—It is resistant but they will have to cross one by one— Sam marked us to stop on the shore making a counterweight to the rocks at the other end

In seconds, Sam had already crossed. She made it look so easy.

"Come on, it's easy," She exclaimed when she reached the other side.

"Sure," Selene whispered before giving me a look.

"Go, I'll follow after you," I assured her before keeping my balance in front of Sky and concentrating on everything but the yards and yards to get to the enraged water.

"Don't look down, don't look down," I heard Selene repeating herself as she took each step.

"You fly more than a thousand meters above the ground, and you still afraid of altitude?"

"Flight mounted on my wolf." She looked back to the front, spreading her arms at her sides. It's hard for me to keep my balance this way.

"It can't be that difficult," I said as I took a step closer.

"You'll see when your turn comes," she replied with an enraged look, but that look disappeared when her balance was broken and wobbled sideways.

"Watch out!" Sky and Leo exclaimed at the same time as they saw her slip and fall to her knees with barely time to support herself. Nobody moved for long seconds ensuring the firmness of the log.

"I'm fine," she smiled as she continued to crawl carefully. But within inches of passing the center of the log, a pink flash appeared flying to Selene's sides.

"Where did that come from?" Sky asked, forcing his gaze to better distinguish it.

"I don't know," I answered as I took another step forward. Selene had seen her, and although I couldn't see her face, seeing her stop, facing the little pink creature, showed me frustration.

"Go away!" Selene exclaimed as she extended an arm to the front and tried to drive her away with a blow in the palm of her hand. But it did not work, the pink flash flew and spun around him releasing white glitters where he went until in a blink his pink glow faded showing a small person, with so much hair, that it seemed he was wearing an elegant furry coat. Her feet were tiny and her two pairs of wings moved up and down keeping her in front of Selene.

"What is that?"

"Nothing good," Sky answered after me.

"Go away!" Selene repeated as she tried to chase her away once more, but it was useless. The little person did not move away from her. It kept flying around her like it was a game to see Selene getting frustrated trying to move on.

"Don't make her mad," Leo yelled from the other end. She is a Pixie, and they are very temperamental, ”he added but it was too late. One last attempt by Selene to chase away the Winged Pixie hit her. With one blow she sent her flying a few inches away from Selene. The brightness of the Pixie returned to her body and with a single touch, she managed to break the little balance Selene had left.

"No!" They all yelled when they saw Selene leaning until she could barely grab onto a half-fallen piece of wood.

—Selene— an impulse. A worry made me lose my mind and run up the log. At first, it was easy, but when we reached the halfway point, the height rose to my head moving my balance until it brought me against my knees. I was afraid that Selene's words were true, the height, without my source of power that held me to the ground, caused that being detached from the ground, became almost impossible.

My balance betrayed me, and with difficulty, I managed to crawl towards Selene leaving aside the Pixie with wings who died laughing when she saw Selene screaming for help.

"Did you have to hit her?" I exclaimed when I reached her.

"Shut up and pull me up." She wasn't making my job any easier.

"Take my hand." The Pixie stopped laughing when she saw me reach out to Selene. She flew in front of me and waved his hands from side to side shaking his head pushing my arm trying to make me back away. She jumped several times on Selene's already purple fingers trying to climb, and a slight cry of fury came from her tiny body when she saw that we did not obey her.

"Take my hand," I repeated as I held on tight from falling.

"I can't," Selene replied. "I will fall if I let go"

"We will both fall if you don't let go" I stretched out my arms as much as I could. But the Pixie stuck to my back, and her little teeth nibbled at my neck getting me to pull my arms away from Selene by hitting her throwing her away from me.

"I don't think that's funny," I whispered when I saw her pink glow turn into a blood-red hue and look at me with the same eyes that I was used to seeing in Selene.

-You think so?

"Quick!" I reached for her again.

"Sol!" Sky yelled.

"Selene!" Leo exclaimed.

They both climbed onto the log in a hurry to help us

"No!" Sam stopped them before continuing. If you all hop in at the same time, the log will break, ”she added.

The Pixie returned to her pink hue. Heeding Sam's words, her smile covered her face again as, turning around the log, he released a white flash that covered the wood and part of my legs.

"Selene quick," she couldn't take it anymore. The white powder of the pixie stopped shining on the wood, transforming into smoke that in turn detached pieces of the log, lifting it into the air, evaporating it as it joined with the flashes that had turned into smoke.

"Quick!" I repeated excitedly, leaning closer to Selene until her fingertips were pink.

"Sol!" Sky ran over the log and Leo followed leaving Sam's warning behind.

"Selene now," I jumped up to grab her hand in time before the dust from the Winged Pixie broke the piece of wood she was holding onto, but her weight was too much for the little strength in my arms. We were about to fall. I closed my eyes as I stretched out both arms making sure not to let go of Selene.

"AAAH!" I screamed when I felt myself slip.

"I got you." Leo's voice, holding my waist, calmed me back when we didn't fall. I hadn't noticed when both of them had gotten so strong to climb us effortlessly, nor could I hear their footsteps running towards us.

"Guys, you have to get out," Sam yelled. But it was too late to realize the mischief of the Pixie. When we looked down at the fading pink flash leaving the Pixie flying over the wood, that's when I saw what her white powder had actually created.

"Hell," we were halfway there, too far to go back or keep going. And under a light touch from the Pixie, the log split in half, taking the four of us to collide with the river.
