Friday at 5:25 am.
"Hi honey! How was your day?"
"Good and you honey?" »
"I was with my mom clearing out my grandma's house and guess what honey, I found a box labeled with my name."
“A big one a little? What kind of box? What was in it?"
"Dark brown box approximately 10 x 4 x 3 inches. Come see it for yourself."
"Wow! It's a vintage wooden jewelry box. Let's see, is it empty? Can I open it?"
“No, be careful, you'll damage it. I couldn't find the key."
“You can read: to my little Ruby with a lot of love."
"Did you show it to your mother?"
"No. I think she saw it in my hand, but she didn't react."
"Concentrate, did your grandmother say anything to you when you visited her before she died?"
“Honey, don't think about it too much. Maybe my grandma wanted me to have the box, that's all!"
"You're right. It seems empty. When I shake it, I hear nothing and it very light."
"I'll put it on the bedside table in my bedroom if you don't mind honey."
"Not at all honey. You knew my great respect for your grandmother."
Saturday 7 am:
“Morning darling. I dreamed my grandma.”
“Normal honey. We talked about her yesterday.”
"Honey, she handed me the box and told me it’s for you my sweetheart with a lot of love into the deep little heart that you will wear every day."
"Honey, you loved her very much and this box brought back memories for you."
"Let's open it to see what's inside."
"I'm going to take it to a locksmith instead so I don't damage it. What do you think?
“Nice Idea. I come with you.”
"Okay man. You're scared I'll get rich and let you down, ain't you my rascal?”
"LOL. I'm rather afraid that the locksmith will rip you off.”
Saturday 9:15 a.m. at the locksmith.
“Beautiful object. What can I do for you?»
“We have lost the key. Can you unlock it, please? »
" Sure. Do you have ID please? »
"there it is!"
"I'll take a picture of the box and a copy of your ID first, then I'll unlock your box."
"Do you need all this to open a box."
"Yes sir! To protect you and me. You know very well that a lot of things are stolen. You don't have to take risks."
" I'm done. Do you want me to make a new key for your box? »
"Yes please!"
"Here are two keys, don't lose them again!"
"how much please!"
"Ten dollars please."
" Thanks, have a good day! And take care of your box, it's a rare piece. »
" Yes! thank you. We knew. »
In the car
"You told the locksmith we knew the box was rare, is that what you meant?"
" No! it's just to show him that it's ours and that he doesn't doubt.”
“He will doubt of what? it’s ours darling.”
"Okay! Now open it and deliver us from this mystery."
"Let's do it!" Just a small sheet of paper. »
"That's it! What's written on it?
"This is for my darling Ruby with a lot of love into the deep little heart that you will wear every day."
"What? The same phrase you heard in your dream."
"What does that mean? It scared the crap out of me. I got goosebumps honey."
"Don't worry honey. Of course, it's amazing but there's nothing you can't be afraid of. It's because you were so close to your grandmother."
"I need to call mom maybe she'll help me figure it out."
“Hi mom! How are you doing?”
“Fine mom. Dade’s fine too?”
"Yesterday I brought with me the wooden jewelry box that I found in the grandmother's room."
" Yes! this one with flowers on it. But guess what mom?"
"What? Do you have its key!"
"Oh mum! Why didn't you tell me? We went with Andrew to the locksmith to make new keys.
"OK mom! Grandma told you to give me her golden necklace and the box."
"Okay mum! Andrew will drop me off to pick up the necklace.”
In the car after getting the necklace
"Honey, I think I understand Grandma's message better."
“Explain to me honey! »
"Look at the necklace pendant."
"It's beautiful, it must be very expensive my darling."
"Oh man, you're always thinking about money. It doesn't allow you to expand your thoughts!"
"So what? Explain to me and spare me your riddles please."
"Nothing! Either way it won't be interesting for you as always man.”
" Sorry darling! Explain again. »
"So shut up and focus with me."
"The necklace pendant is a heart pendant and on the leaf is written: with a lot of love into the deep little heart that you will wear every day."
"Then!"
“My grandmother wanted me to wear her necklace to remember her. Oh my dear grandmother!”
"Honey, please don't cry. I'm sure she didn't want you to be sad. She left you this necklace to be happy like her."
“I am relieved to solve this riddle. I feel my heart light."
"What is the role of the box then?"
"Mom said she took the necklace and forgot to put it in the box."
"You are beautiful and smart my baby. I'm lucky to have you as my wife."
Sunday 9:00
"Are you there Ruby?"
"Here in the living room."
"You woke up early. I didn't feel anything when you got out of bed.”
"At seven, honey.”
"What else happened to you?"
"I dreamed of my grandmother again."
"The same dream."
"No. It was quite different."
"What is that?"
"This time she was wearing the necklace and when she touched the heart pendant shone and she told me that was the way to do it my sweetheart."
"Did you understand the meaning of that?"
“I wore it and I put myself in front of the mirror I touched it but nothing happened.”
"Let me see please."
"Careful, honey, don't break it!"
"See, darling. I think we can open this heart. Take the necklace off."
"Careful, honey, don't break it!"
"Wow! I opened it, there's a small sheet of paper inside!"
"Unfold it and see what is written on it."
"It's so small darling."
"It says: Ruby removes the false bottom of the box."
“Honey, quick! Go up and take the box."
"Raise the bottom with a knife."
"Oh my God! My darling grandmother."
"What is that?"
“Check at the counter. You can believe it!"
"How much?"
“$250,000. I am rich thanks to my grandmother."
"It's a mark of love darling!"
"I'm going to call mom. She deserves half of it."
Since then Ruby has never even dreamed of her grandmother whom she wishes to thank live.

Great work here, Boutat. You do a really good job capturing the tenderness between a grandmother and her granddaughter. Can't tell you how many little boxes and trinkets I've received from my late grandma. If I start having dreams, I'll have to inspect them more carefully! Well done!

Too many honey really, few missing words too. Over all, it is fine story line.

Huh? I am confused you mean she said honey too many times?
Reply
Yeah, each sentence starts or end end with honey. Reading it, it sounds not real to me. Do you said honey to that extent talking to your wife? Well, maybe. It sounded mockery or kinda fakery to me. Just my opinion.
