My fingers tapped impatiently on the desk of the woman in front of me, she was ceaselessly clacking away at her computers doing whatever.
I was waiting for her to answer to my plea, I desperately need this vacation or I swear I'll burn my office down and then myself. I was running on madness, exhaustation and coffee. I had earned my right to some time off which hereby calls for a vacation or so help me God...
The woman looked at me an expression on her face that wasn't inviting to me.
Please don't give me that look I'm about to go mad here.
"What?" I asked her
"I'm sorry it isn't possible to-" I cut her off immediately
"I don't understand, what isn't it possible to do?"
"Please let me finish," she said with a very irritating smile
I am going to kill someone.
My phone rang and I stepped aside to answer it,
"Hello Chelsea,"
"I am going to kill someone," I said, then my mind caught up with what I just spoke, I looked at the caller ID
Boss man.
Good Lord...
"excuse me?" I heard his voice say and all I wanted to do was to wrap my fingers around his neck and choke him till he-
"Hello?" he chimed again and I was brought back
"S-sir? sorry I..."
think, think, a reasonable excuse!
"I was just trying to feed my pet goldfish," I completed
I am so fired.
"Anyway, when you get back I have some documents for you to take care of,"
what? what? I strained my ear, no I clearly did not hear properly this man did not just add to the enormous mountain that waited for me when I get back.
Heck, I'm not even done with what I have now.
"excuse me sir?"
"You didn't hear me before?"
no I didn't you fool why else would I be asking?
"No, I did but I was wondering if you were referring to me or someone else."
"Why would I be referring to someone else? This is Chelsea Roberts isn't it?"
"Ye-"
"Then you heard me right what's the problem?"
you are the problem you imbecile.
"I-I already have a lot to do when I return,"
there was a long pause and I swear my life hung by thin thread.
"Sorry I didn't get you,"
sorry I didn't get you I mimicked. fool
"Are you turning me down?" he asked and I knew one wrong word and my job was toast.
"No, no" I said a bit hurriedly "I'm just saying...that instead of when I get back, how about I do it on my vacation?"
Chelsea shut the hell up.
"That way it makes the work faster,"
"Good, that'll be nice. You have till Monday."
"Monday?!"
"Is there a problem?"
"Yes," I blurted without thinking...I should be doing more of that "The timeline is too short."
silence.
"I-I mean to say, since it was originally meant for when I return why not leave it at the previous deadline?"
"We don't have much time Chelsea, think,"
I am thinking you dimwit.
"Nevrmind your meaningless excuses, I need that on Monday 9:00AM sharp," and with that he hung up
Well done Chelsea, you've outdone yourself.
I groaned and got back to the irritating woman with more fury in my bones.
"Please answer me." I said huffing
"You see the problem is-"
"No! no problem I need to go and I need to go now. screw the problems I'm going to go mad and you'll be the root cause." I said all in one breath and the poor woman actually looked terrified, she handed me a ticket and I collected it and entered the plane.
I settled down in my seat and closed my eyes.
Relax, relax, you fucked up big time but you can handle it because you're Chelsea.
I was interrupted my an annoying snore from my neighbour, I tried to endure it.
Somehow it got lounder.
I put on my headphones and turned up the music but I still heard the snore, I turned to face him but then it stopped, I ignored him and went back to my ritual then it happened again. I looked at him and again, it stopped.
Is he doing this on purpose? I'm about to burst with anger here!
I was still looking at him and his snore staatred and increased again to the max.
I tapped him, I just had to I can't take this anymore.
he didn't wake up.
I tapped him harder now, no response.
I hit him again and again still no response.
My frustration built up and I slapped him awake, shaking his shoulders.
"Stop your incessant snoring you imbecile!!"
He looked at me...
and winked.
The heck?
I huffed and sat back down shifting my hair out of my eyes.
I wasn't going to be frustrated anymore, I called the air hostess and asked for a drink but it wasn't enough.
I needed vodka because this was going to be a long, long trip; my eyes met the man next to me and he smiled.
well I'll be damned.

Today is just not a good day for me, first the airport, then my boss and now this.
"Ma'am, you don't understand I'm pretty sure I booked this suite."
"Ma'am I'm pretty sure I understand this suite wasn't booked in your name but someone else's."
Was she mocking me?
I narrowed my eyes and I swear she did the same.
Oh its on then.
But then the sad reality that I didn't have shelter struck me and I remember that this is no time to argue with her.
Everything is just going wrong for me today.
"Look there was a misunderstanding..."
"No, there isn't the record here says this suite is booked in...oh?"
"oh? whats oh? what's the oh? about?"
"it is in your name..."
aha!
"and someone else's"
"huh? what does that mean?"
her brows furrowed and she clacked away at her computer similar to the airport woman. ugh.
"I'm sorry but there's misunderstanding"
"told ya." a smile came to my face
"You booked an already booked suite."
"eh?" my smile now felt like plastic
Just then someone came up beside me and asked for his suite
"What room?"
"201."
that's my suite, I looked at the person...
oh no.
The woman explained everything to him and looked between us
"So, whats going to happen?" she asked
The young guy, who also happened to be the idiot in the plane beside me, looked as though he was in deep thought.
"Ok, I have a solution," he offered "We could share the suite."
"No." I said immediately
"So the room goes to Mr.Jacob?"
"No." I said
"you don't really have a choice unless you already have somewhere else to stay?" she said
she was right, it was too late to be looking for somewhere else to stay, other suites were booked...
I cursed my helplessness and looked at Joshua? Johnny? whatever his name was.
he smirked.
"Fine," I gritted out and the lady seemed satisfied as she handed over the keys to him.
Dear God...
