A few of my friends spent their vacation period in a Cottage in the United States of America. Among them includes Prince, Ryan, Janet and Elizabeth. Also before deciding on their journey to the Cottage, they had to decide on where to secure their accommodation. The decision between the four travellers took about a week on where and which Cottage to choose for accommodation. One of the travellers had no better option but to pay for the flight of three of her friends including herself to the United States of America , a land of opportunity and plenty. Elizabeth and her friends travelled on a Visitors Visa to the United States of America on a two months visitation. When they got to the United States of America they had to secure for themselves accommodation in a Cottage. They also had no other option but to go in search for a Cottage Dweller, someone who lives in a Cottage to provide and secure for themselves accommodation in one of the Cottages in the United States of America. Elizabeth and her friends got to meet one of the Cottage Dwellers called Samson. Samson helped them to secure accommodation in a Cottage. Firstly he asked them the reason for their visitation and why they have on a long journey to the United States of America. The four travellers answered politely that they travelled on a long journey to visit the Cottage Industry on a holiday and also to help in the export of cocoa from the farms of their parents. The Cottage Dweller, Samson understood them and lived with them together in the Cottage. There was another option of housing which was the Cottage tent that seeks to provide shelter for families, but Elizabeth and her friends never chose that type of accommodation because they knew they can easily fall sick because in the Cottage tent there is neither access to electricity nor water. Elizabeth and her friends where to visit the Cottage and learn about the processing of Chocolate, including exporting cocoa from the farms of their parents. We spent the long -overdue weekend at the Cottage ,where we interacted with the Cottage Dweller who offered us accommodation at the Cottage. After sleeping for a night in the Cottage, we made another visit to the Industry around the neighborhood which was the Cottage Industry. The Cottage Industry was a small-scale Industry in the United States of America where we got the opportunity to learn how to prepare chocolate and also sold our cocoa to them to earn foreign exchange. Elizabeth and her friends earned for themselves about $20,000 dollars through their sales of cocoa to the Cottage Industry. They were taught how to prepare and process chocolate. Among the ingredients required to process chocolate includes 1cup (100g) cocoa powder ,1/2 cup (120ml) Coconut oil, 4 tablespoon (59ml) honey, 1/4 cup (25g) Confectionary sugar , 1/4 Cup Agave syrup or 3-6 drops liquid stevia that makes approximately 10oz (283g) of chocolate ,that is Dark chocolate. Chocolate is one of the foods that is universally in almost every country around the globe. We informed by the Staff of the Cottage Industry that chocolate was easy to prepare and it was being prepared into scrumptious natural chocolate. Some of the end product of chocolate is the Chocolate syrup , a sauce made with unsweetened chocolate or cocoa and sugar with water. The chocolate syrup is used for making drinks for children as snacks. Elizabeth and her friends had a taste of the chocolate syrup which they took as snack with biscuits at the premises of the Cottage Industry. Among some of the end product of the chocolate were the chocolate truffle : a creamy chocolate candy ,a chocolate bar: a bar of chocolate , Chocolate cake: A cake containing chocolate ,used mostly during birthdays , Chocolate Candy : A candy made with chocolate , chocolate fondue : A fondue made of some chocolate melted with milk or cream for dipping fruits, chocolate fudge : A fudge made with chocolate or cocoa. Chocolate icecream : The icecream flavoured with chocolate for human consumption. Also in the preparation of dark chocolate, the chocolate liquor was used , the chocolate liquor the liquid or paste that is produced when cocoa beans are roasted and grind to become chocolate. When preparing dark chocolate , you must use stainless steel cookware to prepare your chocolate. In regards to the preparation of dark chocolate Elizabeth and her friends were taught to measure their ingredients for recipe the dark chocolate. Also measuring your ingredients in advance will make the cooking more efficient in the processing of the chocolate. Add 1/4 cup of Confectioners sugar and 1/4 cup of 59ml Agave syrup or 3-6 drops of liquid stevia to add sweetness to the chocolate. Again melt 1/2 cup of 120ml of coconut oil in a small pot over low heat. Add the coconut oil to the pot , allowing it to melt because coconut oil has a low melting point . The coconut oil will help to liquefy faster the chocolate. In addition use stainless steel cookware to prepare the chocolate. Also add four tablespoon (59ml) of honey and half tablespoon (7.4ml) of Vanilla extract. Use a whisk of metal spoon to scrape the sticky honey into the pot. Drizzle in the Vanilla . Stir the ingredients into the melted oil until they dissolve and form a thin syrup mixture. Again store and keep your cool top on a low heat since when the oil gets too hot it could scorch the sugars in the honey and spoil the flavour of the finished chocolate. You can also add other sweetness such as Confectioners sugar or stevia at the same time that you added honey and vanilla to prepare the chocolate. In addition sift in one cup of 100g of cocoa powder gradually. Also drop all of the cocoa powder in at once in the mixture. Keep your whisk or spoon moving to help in the distribution of cocoa powder evenly through out the mixture. Also mix the cocoa into your other ingredients with a whisk. Again take the chocolate off the heat and continue stirring as it thickens. Elizabeth and her friends realised that the chocolate was ready when it took a smooth, dark colour and the surface becomes slightly glossy. At this point the chocolate needs to be left to harden. Again remove the pot from the cooktop to prevent the chocolate from burning. Again do transfer the warm chocolate out of the pot and onto a flexible nonstick baking mat or cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Use a spatula to spread the chocolate about half inch (1.3cm) thick. Then pour your chocolate into a decorative candy mold to create a bite-sized treats of chocolate with fun shapes. Again avoid adding your chocolate to any non-stick type of container or those treated with a commercial cooking spray. Take the chocolate off the heat and continue stirring it till it thickens. Also transfer the warm chocolate into a non stick surface to cool. You must carefully pour the chocolate out of the pot and into a flexible non-stick baking mat or cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Use a spatula to spread the chocolate about half inch (1.3cm) thick. Also pour your chocolate into a decorative candy mold to create fun shapes for the chocolate. Lastly Refrigerate your chocolate for a period of one hour and enjoy it. Also when it is fully set, it will be firm enough to break up into pieces or remove from the mold. Do store your finished chocolate in the Refrigerator or simply keep it in a covered container on counter top for easy access. It can also be noted that Dark chocolate also have a shelf life of about two years before expiry. Again Elizabeth and her friends were asked to take caution that when chocolate was about to melt or soften at room temperature ,you can always put it back into the Refrigerator. Elizabeth and her friends spent a long -overdue weekend at the Cottage because the preparation and learning of how to prepare the chocolate took them about eight weeks. Elizabeth and her friends learnt and prepared chocolate at the Cottage Industry. The processed chocolate was to be taken to stores and shops so that they could be easily sold. Elizabeth and her friends were given bars of chocolate processed into chocolate milk , chocolate pudding , chocolate bar, chocolate candy, chocolate cake and also chocolate icecream. Elizabeth and her friends had more opportunity to sell to the Cottage Industry their cocoa brought into the country by export so that they will earn foreign exchange. After about two months and spending their long overdue weekend in the Cottage they took flight and came back home. At last, Elizabeth and her friends later became very good entrepreneurs after leaving the Cottage and the Cottage Industry. They came back to their home country and established their own Chocolate Factory limited by shares in order to process chocolate for human consumption. Finally their business flourish and they processed chocolate in their home country and sold it stores and shops.
