Drama Funny Friendship

Henry

The party had balloons that’s for sure. They were scattered everywhere across the ballroom and clinged onto the wooden ceiling. They would not let go. Cake was on the table

and cake forks were next to them, waiting for a person to pick them up. The toffee cookies were close to it with vanilla icecream and chocolate pudding. I licked my lips when I saw the strawberry tart at the end of the room. I wish I could bite into it, My mouth full of whipped cream and jam… But I know it will be a tough match to get it. It is a prize for the greatest person who competes in the talent show. I have been training. Everyday I take a swift glance up at it, my mouth dribbling while I lift my weights and sing my song. It goes;

As I lift up my heavy weights

My strawberry tart awaits

You will really be in for a surprise

For here I come to get my prize

Its here under my nose and eyes

And also under my soft chin…

And what do you know?

I may win!

It sounds a little high pitch but I think I will win. Well, until I hear the soft singing from outside my door. It is Miranda. The girl with the hazel eyes and the freckles. The girl who’s hair it so blonde and curly it’s like a sun with waves of sea. She has a much better song than me. It goes;

I may win but I may loose

But the choice is just for you to choose

I may or may not get the prize

But I may get the surprise

Really it your choice completely

I ask you ever so sweetly

Don’t you like a girl with hazel eyes

And sparkles scattered around the skys

With the most adorable size

And the face you will always recognize

Who is ever so wise

A girl who will give you advice

A girl who needs some paradice…?

I am jealous. Her voice sings across the mountains hitting my heart. For a moment I thought she deserved to win but then I remember my song. The song that needs to be improved. I need to work on it. After a few days of practising I find something perfect….

Miranda

The hope of me getting the strawberry tart is disappearing into the air. I was practising when I heard the opera style of song floating through the air. The voice belongs to Henry; The boy with the brown hair and the shaggy shorts. I frown; How am I going to win this contest if this boy does a better job than me? I will have to make up another song. A song that is better than his. Something…Poetic.

I have always wanted to be a poet when I grew up. I have won a competition for it but only because I copied it from the internet. I am wishing, Hoping I can get my chance to shine. It is today. The contest. I need to hurry and write it down. Write down something better and greater than his…

Henry

I have come up with the perfect song. A song that will beat everything and everyone. It goes;

I hope for a yummy scrummy treat

At least something good for me to eat

I want a while

To make me smile

I have looks

I do write books

But what I need is a little snack

That will grow my hands and back

To make them stronger

Please I can’t stand this any longer

I want a week

When I’m not weak

And a day

That not so grey

or just a year

That makes me cheer

Or maybe a decade

To make me get paid

Or a century

With no enemy

Just please

Save my cheese

I smile. I will win this for sure! Then I hear another song from Miranda’s window. She had come up with a better song than me. A way better song…

Miranda

I come up with a way better song. I know I am going to win. Until I hear a new song. Outside my window I hear Henry. In look back at my song;

I have waited for my time to come

A time, a moment when I have won

A sight that will meet me

Will simply be

When I finally see

My strawberry tart glistening

I want a future

Way way better

A song that will meet me

This song you see

Is the song your hearing

The melody that soars

Over beaches and shores

Then I hope

Maybe hope

I may win…….

This is not good enough. Unless… I have an idea. A light bulb moment dawns on me “Henry!” I call outside. “Yes. What is it?” I smile “Do you want to team up?”

Show day

Henry

After a few stupid songs from other contestinsts they announced;

“Miranda and Henry. Please come up to sing your song.” I smile at her; We are going to win for sure. I hold my breath and start to sing with Miranda;

As I lift up my heavy weights

My strawberry tart awaits

You will be in for a surprize

For here I come to get my prize

It’s under my nose and eyes

And under my soft chin…

Then Miranda starts singing too.

I. May. WIN!

Then we all start singing;

I hope for a yummy scrummy treat

At least something for me to eat

We want a surprize

For our sweet prize

We have a song

A melody that soars

Over islands beaches and also shores

Really it’s your choice completely

We ask you ever so sweetly

Don’t you love a boy in shaggy shorts

The type of boy who plays a lot of sports

The guy who hates the sound of snorts…

Or maybe the girl with hazel eyes

And sparkles scattered around the skys

with the most adorable size

Who is also very wise

The person who will give you advice

A girl who needs some paradice

I want a week

When I’m not weak

And a day

That not so grey

or just a year

That makes me cheer

Or maybe a decade

To make me get paid

Or a century

With no enemy

Just please.. PLEASE

Save my cheese.

Miranda

We did it! We won!

I look around for Henry but he is gone. When I finally see him he is shaking his head and holding up a plate. It is empty. Well apart from a little mouse. A little mouse ate our strawberry tart. This was all for nothing.

Well, I'm sure that Miranda and Henry had good singing voices. I can't imagine how disappointed they would be from the mouse. I really got engaged in the story. The story really swallowed me.

Wow! This is an absolutely amazing story! I loved the constant rivalry between Henry and Miranda. There were some typos here and there, and some other places where some more descriptions would be useful to improve it, but other than that... I love the ending so much! It made me laugh out loud! Well done, keep up the good work!
