Jericho siege

Joshua, now in command from the order of Moses, daring the Israelites to go & get what God has given to them! Moses himself must stay behind, as ordered by God. In that season, Joshua, secretly sent two spies to Shittim. “ Go now & Look over look over the land,” he said, “ Especially Jericho! “ make yourselfs known at first then find a place to hide for the night. Fear, & swiftness must be recognized & the ability of stealth, damage & camouflage. A word from the priest! A woman, friendly woman in need will help you. Steel from the streets and give to her, you will find her near the carousing Neighborhood at the back, follow the sun & Move quickly towards the hills you see in the back! You will find her offering herself at dusk. She won’t be the only one in dressed in Scarlet but you will know her by a soft familiar tongue. Return before dawn! Get out of the city before dawn! Dawn be clear of the city as to take cover from the open battlefield at the gates. Your are sure to be seen if not. Now go!

So they began the mission Quickly. They immediately they headed out and entered the house of a prostitute. Her name was Rahab.

The king of Jericho was informed, “ Look! Some of the Israelites have come here to spy out our land.” The King of Jericho sent a message to Rehab. “ Bring out the man who came to you and entered your house, they have come to spy out our Providence!” The king of Jericho did not know Rehab had hid The Israelites. She said, “ Yes, The man came here but I didn’t know who they were or where they came from. They left at dusk right before the closing of the city gates. I have no idea where they went. If you leave now, hurry you might catch them!”

But she had taken them up to the roof and hidden them understocks of flax she had laid out on the roof. So the men sit out in pursuit of the spies on the road that leads to the fords of the Jordan, and as soon as the pursuers left, the city gates were closed.

Then she went up to the roof and said to the spies, “ I know that the Lord has given you this land, and now a great fear has fallen upon our people so that all who live near our melting in fear because of you. We have heard how the Lord dried up the water the Red Sea when you came out of Egypt, & what you did to Sihon & Og , the Amorites kings of the east that you completely annihilated!

We all heard about it here, & your God In heaven and on earth. Now please swear to me and show mercy to me and my family because I have shown kindness to you. please give me a sure sign that your spare lives for we all know you were coming!”

The men assured her, if you don’t tell what we are doing, we will treat you faithfully when the Lord gives us this land. So she let them down on a rope out the window, of her dwelling! her residence was in part of the city wall, with the window facing out to the country. She told them to go to the hills so the trackers will not find them, hide your self there three days until they return and then go your way.

Then the man said, “ we cannot make a deal And honor I’ll return your compassion unless when we come back to siege Jericho you must tie a scarlet fabric to this window you let us down from. furthermore bring all your family into your residence that you wish to save! If anyone leaves your blood is on their own head! And anyone that stays in the house with you their blood will be on our heads if anything happens to them! do not say a word about what is happening otherwise the oath Will not be kept!”

Rehab agreed, and they parted ways. When they returned they met Joshua and told him everything experienced.

Joshua said, “ The Lord has surely given the whole land to us; if these people are melting in fear!”

Joshua prayed that night to the Lord. In hopes that he might find some secret entrance or have a scheme of espionage, intelligence and counterintelligence on their enemies. God revealed a plan to Joshua. A real choice grandiose plan! A plan of irony, A plan that would Eco through the planes and hills of all the Surrounding countries, so that all Israel’s enemies would hear about their God and also melt in fear as the Israelite army is on approach!

Early the next morning Joshua and all the Israelites set out from Shittim arrived at the Jordan and camped. After three whole days the orders was finally spread throughout all the officers in the army. First it was the diversion, Based on the Principles that their enemies feared there God more than the Israelite army, in this in itself had power, resonance, and sustain to last decades! This is what the Israelites counted on! This in itself has victory without effort! An Enemy that already has fear, is an enemy ready to be conquered.

The ark of the covenant of the Lord God will be used in forward position, with the Levite priests carrying it, this is when they move out from their positions and follow it since no one has been there before. first plan of action, follow behind at 1000 yards, do not go any closer!

“ concentrate yourself tonight for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you!” Joshua commanded!

The Levite priests what order to take up the ark of the covenant and pass on ahead of the militia army.

Then the Lord told Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses and tell the priest to carry the ark of the covenant when you reach the edge of the Jordan’s waters, go and stand in the river.”

Joshua then instructed the militia that they would know that God was among them by driving out all their enemies. Joshua said, “ now watch the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth will go into the Jordan ahead of you. So now chose 12 men in the tribes, one for each tribe. Now as soon as the priest carry in the ark of the Lord set foot in a Jordan it’s flowing waters down stream will be cut off and stand up right!”

At this time of the year the Jordan River was in a flood stage during the harvest season. When the priest who carried the ark reach to Jordan and their feet touch the waters edge the water upstream stopped flowing! The water piled up in a great heap, at a distance. So the Israelite militia army crossed the Jordan opposite of Jericho. The priest who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord Stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan while the Israelites army past. finally the whole nation completed the crossing on dry ground.

Now the 12 chosen, One form each tribe was ordered to take up 12 stones from the middle of the Jordan with the priesthood and carry them over with you and put them down at the place where they stay this night.

The stones you are to take will be a symbol In the future when your children ask you what did the stones mean. Ttell them the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, & the waters of the Jordan were stopped, the stones are to be a memorial for people Israel forever. As they still are to this day.

The men of Ruben, Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh were first : armed in the front as Moses had directed. It was 40,000 armed and ready for battle with the plans of the Jericho siege! At this time the priest carry in the ark of the testimony were to come up out of the Jordan, & no sooner had their feet touched dry ground when the waters of the Jordan returned and ran it flood stage again.

Now when all the Amorite Kings west of the Jordan, & all the Canaanite Kings along the coast heard how the Lord had dried up the Jordan before the Israelites until they crossed over completely, their hearts melted and the little courage they did have to face the Israelites Vanished! The Israelites camped and continued their rituals & Passover. At This time The manna stopped coming, and they ate of the produce of Canaan.

Now when Joshua was near Jericho he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked him, “ are you for us or for our enemies!”

“ Nneither,” he replied, but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come. Now Takeoff your sandals off & come let’s talk awhile, for the place we are standing is holy.”

See know I have delivered Jericho into your hands along with its kings and is fighting men. Slight change of plans, there evidence of repentance in the city, continue, original plans but with detail, march around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams horn‘s in the front of the ark. On the seventh day March around the city seven times with the priest blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have all the people give a loud shout : then the wall, & city, collapse in fear. Now all the people will go up every man straight in The back door funnel. The strata is set, This is what will be written and remembered! Scribe every thing quickly while it is clear, your priest & Ephod will answer precision questions, so the priest only translate limited knowledge of events! Remember & forget theses next orders. There is also more, this will not be written down as to continue your advantage, fear is a great alley as well as an enemy of the other enemy countries.”

As all this is happening and all the people in Jericho on top of the wall watching will be distracted, their eyes fixated on the commotion. While the Israelites are on one side of Jericho, use your best 12 warriors & climb the wall and enter the window of the residence of Rahab, marked in a long scarlet flag, tie a rope, you get the idea, Once inside they are to begin putting fractures & use leverage devices like these here drawn in the sand to break the wall. All this must be done in secret as to not spread word, but inflame, rapid fire, & endless supplies of fuel against our enemies. Fear makes things very easy!

Rehab’s residence is part of the was the weakest Percentage of wall. It’s area of locality had large embankments that made it difficult for armies to breach it Quickly. Large trenches open targets for gravity arrows. It also has little maintenance and Rehabs section of the wall. Because of the poverty, and low class, color,& creed on the side. The most secure & heavily guarded, is the city gates. Ccity gates are the best place to present an army. This is where they will see the trumpet sound! Gods outside of the box. Gods selection of Rehab was not by chance. God held back the Jorden river but left some hands clean conditions in blood shed, it is up to the Israelites. they must be judged to perfection! They will handle there ownership, some day! Spoken & written, was everything in the sand!

In all the espionage crew was 30. Supplies was assembled, machine shop, the movement of the people!

Reaching Jericho the scouts returned with news that a long scarlet flag was nearly touching the ground from a distance anyway, they observed! The walls had many posted because they knew the Israelites was coming & at a distance they looked petrified!

Joshua had spoken to the people, do not give a war cry raise your voice is or even say a word until the day I tell you to shout. Then shout. People returned to the camp and spent the night there Joshua got up early the next morning after long night of homework and preparation the priest took up the ark of the Lord. The priest went first, the ark of the covenant, the blowing of the trumpet in the armed men went ahead of them in the rear guard followed! The secret Demolition crew, entered at the appropriate time, set up a the conveyor belt, robe and scarlet dressing for disguise, & divine engineering for a rapid rate & delivery of new technological heavy equipment & supplies. They continues to march for six days. Demolition secrecy was going as expected Because most of the people we’re on the other side of the city! Rehab and family was sworn to secrecy, but they did watch as they worked and used technology and science and methods.
