Let us start this story or short story off with two unusual people who are not your average people. Let us start off with two completely different people who are very opposite, in every sense of the word, yet somehow have a bond that goes way beyond physical, mental, emotional, or anything else that would bring two people together or more so apart.
Let us give them names Morris and Louie, the later name being a female, who chooses to use the name Louie, instead of Louise. They both are typical individuals, with which they both are from different backgrounds, different lifestyles, different upbringings, you name it, they are part of some status quo, I suppose. It can go from simple basic conversation to an all outright argument that was part of plan to see who would give in first. Neither Louie nor Morris, who likes the name of Moe instead of Morris, for some odd reason, if nothing more than to find a reason to piss Louie off.
It was around 10 years ago, the dynamic duo, were introduced by a long since departed mutual friend, whom they were not at first aware they both knew. Seems they both met their "mutual" friend, around the same time, making their initial meeting slightly more awkward, if at all even more so uncomfortable. Mel was the guy who also did not like his name, so instead of choosing to be addressed as Melvin, chose Mel. The moment of introductions, while at a local charity fundraiser for abandoned children, was met with awe, surprise, and wonder, for all 3, yet they learned to take things in stride and "go with the flow", to not "rock the boat".
As they were "sizing each other up", Mel decided they should be formally introduced and made "aware" of each other, if for nothing more than this one time in their lives. It was Louie, dressed in along silk gown, with a slit up the side, showing off her tanned legs, and Moe, dressed in his grayish tuxedo, giving him the appearance of a secret agent, along with Mel dressed in a stripped shirt and ascot, along with his stylish blue jeans, and a cocktail in his right hand, that he noticed the two individuals, sharing a quick glance at each other.
Mel, being the more outgoing and easy going of the 3, decided to approach them both, extending his free hand, introduced himself, more as an "icebreaker". When Louie and Moe saw this happening, they quickly looked elsewhere, but to no avail. Mel was the one who inclined to allow who wish to become at least know by others, in one way or another. Louie and Moe, deciding not to disagree on this, then both moved towards Mel, and then this began their long bumpy, yet sweetly defined friendship, or more so their unintentional moment of being a workable, unnamed relationship.
Moe and Louie, who were at the mercy of Mel, tried not to keep looking at one another, trying not to allow any kind of passion for the other, "to creep in" their minds, but to only hear what their now known "mutual" friend, was so determined to speak about or mention to them both. It was Mel, who stated in long sentences, how he was happy for them both attending this event, Moe and Louie, both mumbled that they had received an invitation to attend, and decided to, at the very least, show up in support of such a worthy fundraiser. Mel, then looking rather embarrassed, was willing to slow down on being so vocal, but realized that by introducing them, if he was to linger, felt he would possibly be intrusive.
It was this chance meeting, beginning with both surprised, amazed, and not sure how to respond to this, that helped them to learn about and discover they both shared more in common. With each new piece of information spoken, they were never completely sure how this night would play out, nor what would become of them after the night finally ended.
Moe and Louie, eventually headed towards the auction room, sitting beside each other, with no more than verbally bidding on items used to be auctioned off for the fundraiser, then after the event finished up, they both walked out to the lobby area, paused for a minute, then exchanged numbers.
Moe left the building first, followed by Louie, and then all the other attendees of the fundraiser, leaving those who would cleanup. It was about half way, between the two sides streets, both Moe and Louie turned to see if the other was looking back. With smiles seen by most, they then realized this was a possibility, a hope that would become something more than a mere meeting of two people.
Back to the present day, where we find Moe and Louie, with raised glasses of champagne, toasted several things, one being the very person who had made it a point to introduce them, to the upcoming day of their union in holy matrimony. They eyed each other, before embracing and then leaning in further for a long slow kiss that made Louie swoon.
"how did this become such a priority"? How did this become such a need to know, on a need to know basis"? "What will become of this opposites attract in the most unusual ways"? I realize the more you think about it, the more you wish to know, yet it may give you a headache to boot.
Of course, there are still many things to be asked and some may have no rhyme or reason at all.
"How did this all take place for these, that seemed to be more than opposites"? Not sure if I have the room to share that, in detail, or would want to "drag out the whole story, or short story" without you feeling like "you have heard this one before". I can say this much, for those that choose to, I will let you decide the main part of the story, so that can feel like you were the one wrote this instead of me.
