Horror LGBTQ+ Thriller

Sebastian and Marcel lie on a rooftop gazing at the the sunrise. Neither one of them slept from excitement.

The rooftop they were on was an old castle they bought and transformed it into a luxurious bakery.

A "haunted"castle in an abandoned neighborhood was a hard sell, but they bought it. The two had a plan.

Sebastian and Marcel were aware that in today's world anything can be shipped. The locals had warned them about the reputation of the castle, but they did not heed the warning. Plus, curious tourists ventured to the bakery to experience the supernatural.

Customers were loving the pastries and the cookies and the cakes were divine. One might say "to die for".

Tourists would come in and get their sweet tooth filled, but never be seen again. It was assumed these nomads that loved adventure just kept traveling. It seems these travelers that wanted to experience ghosts were not disapointed. They experienced ghosts in a way they were not prepared for.

Sebastian and Marcel had made a bargain with the spirits of the castle: these ghosts would inhabit the cakes and cookies and pastries and when consumed the person that ate it would be possessed.

These evil spirits were thrilled to be in bodies again. They were going on killing sprees and were completely free to terrorize the world they once knew.

The townspeople were thrilled to have tourists again, but some knew there was evil happening, but could do nothing to stop it.

The locals would not go near the castle and never saw Sebastian and Marcel leave. Not even to get supplies. It was assumed that everything was shipped to them.

The stories of monsters at the castle were close, but not accurate. Nothing actually happened at the castle. As part of the bargain, activities from the magical pastries could not begin until the travelers left the town.

Young people can be such a hassle. Of course there were nosy kids that had to see if the stories were true.

A group of young adventurers bravely sauntered up to the castle at night. It's always at night, as if nothing could happen during the day. The children were taking pictures and planned on climbing a tree to get in, but as the cadre of five got closer they noticed the front door was open to let the heat out.

As they got closer their eyes grew bigger at what they saw. A roomful of demoniacal spirits together waiting to be called to enter something sweet so they may be eaten and go to a new home. Sebastian and Marcel were not to be seen. The chefs were ghostly creatures that had been chefs when they were alive. The chefs continued stirring and baking the dough.

The children shrieked with fear when a voice spoke behind them. "Would you like a treat?" They turned and ran as fast as they could screaming the entire time.

The group paused by an old empty, abandoned house to take a breath and the same voice spoke "you're being very rude."

As the children were running and screaming and panicking one of the children spoke "no, that didn't really happen. We were just dreaming. We were hallucinating." Another was crying "yes, it did happen. We're going to die. Why did we go there?" Someone else in the group spoke "no, it's like an amusement park. None of that was real. It couldn't be real." "Wait, are you sure?" "Yes, it was just costumes. It was dark. We saw what we wanted to see." "Okay, but let's not go back just in case."

As time marched on more stories flooded the town which increased the popularity with tourists. Celebrities that searched for ghosts would, of course, have to go in as customers and see nothing unusual. Ghost hunting was not allowed. It was not permitted. It was a bakery and will be treated like a legitimate business.

There were ocassional locals that would be loyal customers and the ghosts that would be in those particular pastries had to wait until the customers left the town because that was the bargain, but some never left the town. So the ghosts would wait quietly and never get to leave and just remain dormant.

As a bakery it was excellent. Since diabolical activities didn't occur until after the customers left the town nobody realized what was really happening: The world was being taken over by demons through sugar.

This activity went on for two years and the only logical explanation was that these people that were actually victims of demon possession were written off as mentally ill. The educated can be so narrow minded.

Sebastian and Marcel were living in a glorious castle living a wonderful life as demons ran the bakery and slowly destroying the world.

Perhaps, evil was destroying evil. Maybe the victims of these ghastly crimes weren't victims at all, but just horrible monsters themselves waiting for punishment for their own crimes against humanity.

Magic is outside the jurisdiction of the law. How does one punish a demon? You can't. All you can do is snuff it out of existence. Only so many people in the world can do that and those people aren't doing their jobs. Maybe because they realize they are no better than the demons they are supposed to eliminate.

You can be told to be careful, but why? If something is coming for you there is nothing you can do about it. You could easily be filled with demons and are completely helpless to prevent it.

Enjoy life while you can because you never know when your body will no longer belong to you.

One quiet night Marcel stared at the reflection of the moon on the lake. Beautiful pink moon. Sebastian was asleep. Marcel knew their purpose. Humans are evil and will continue to be so if they don't get caught. Sebastian and Marcel were sent to clean up the world, but it's a slow process.

This is amazing! It reads like a ghost story someone would tell with a blanket over their head and a flashlight shining up at their face. And, a bakery castle? If I could run a business like that..... Anyway, great job! I loved this.
