TW: Slight Mention of Mental and Emotional Abuse

“You made it safely!”

Those were the first words the blonde uttered, mixed with worry and happiness, to Princess Yvette of the Dove Shrine.

“It’s all thanks to my escort!”

The figure took off their hood, revealing chestnut brownish colored hair, with orange accents at the tips. Their hazel eyes gleamed in the shine of the HQ.

They blushed lightly.

“Thank you, Princess. I believe now I can tell you my name now, I’m Tokyo Ankara, the last descendent of the Akaibara Tribe, and this is my best friend, Lubriz Shiy.”

The mint haired boy picked at his fingers and said nothing.

“The Akaibara tribe? Isn’t that the one skilled in object manipulation and masters of the sword?” said Galen gruffly.

“Y-yes, they a-are.”

Lubriz mumbled.

The blonde put a hand over Yvette.

“Are you okay, Princess?”

Yvette’s face broke into a smile.

“Of course I am, Bread.”

“Do we have to use code names?” Galen asked, annoyed.

“I suppose not. I’m Mallark, Peeta Mallark.”

Hunter started. Peeta was the brain of the Elementals, the strategist, the one who helped defeat R.O.O.T. in the war. He, reportedly, was also a hot topic for woman, for a different reason.

“Pretty impressive, huh?”

A periwinkle haired boy marched towards them, saluting Peeta when he got there.

“Hello sir! I noticed you’ve brought some fresh bread to our team!”

“Good sense of humor, as always. But actually, this is the Elemental from the research team.”

“Oh, wow. I see.”

Hunter rolled his eyes, annoyed by the comparison. He ignored the comment about his team, however.

Lubriz, noticing Hunter’s solemn stance, tugged at Hunter’s sleeve.

“D-do you want to-to uh, go to the library with me? We could read more Shakespeare t-there.”

Hunter’s face turned maroon at the touch of his hand. He nodded, hesitantly, and let Lubriz tug him there.

Back at the outside of the base, the periwinkle haired boy was introducing himself.

“I’m Arrow Roiyarit, first Lt. to Mallark.”

“And why didn’t I know of you before?” Snarled Galen.

“Because he was only recently promoted for his excellent leadership.” Peeta stated.

“Well anyhow, I’m off to take a good nap.” Grumbled Galen, running to the base doors.

“He seems like a nice guy. Now, who is this young lady here?” Arrow smirked, motioning to Tokyo, who turned away, embarrassed.

“Now, no need to be shy, come on, say your name!”

Tokyo shyly turned back and said: “I-I’m Toyko Ankara.”

“The last descendant of the Akaibara tribe.” Peeta added.

“And a master at manipulation and swordsmanship.” Concluded Yvette.

“Ohoho, a very refined young lady we have here!” Arrow laughed. Peeta looked at him curiously. It was the first time he had seen Arrow treat a girl like this.

Yvette, however, noticed the tint of pink on his face.

Tokyo smiled nervously.

“S-so that’s all!”

“You really are a book nerd.”

“Haha, says th-the person that managed t-to recited t-the former leaders of Y.O.S.O. perfectly b-backwards!”

“Okay, ya caught me.”

“H-hehe.”

“Question for you.”

“Uh-h-huh?”

“Why do you stutter so much?”

“O-oh…”

“It’s okay if you don’t want to tell, I’m fine with that.”

“I-can I tell y-you, but maybe lat-later?”

“Of course!”

They smiled.

“Hey Tokyo!”

They jerked around and almost stabbed Yvette, but turned around at the last second.

“You scared me, Princess!”

“Please call me Yvette, Tokyo.”

“Alright then, Ms.Yvette, what do you need?”

“Do you know of the Legends of Time?”

“That little kid series? Yeah. What about it?”

“Do you remember what the bad guys did?”

“Yeah, plant a spy and then blow the HQ up.”

“I fear we may have a spy too.”

“Who?”

“A girl. Name is Classa, kind of...picky? And she has been acting really weirdly, never going to lunch breaks, that sort.”

“Isn’t that normal for depressed snobs?”

“Well, um, she has been avoiding everyone for the past months, so….”

“Oh.”

“Please look into it, Tokyo.”

“I will, Pr-Ms.Yvette.”

They sheathed their sword and ran out. Yvette could faintly hear these words:

“AND HAVE FUN WITH MALLARK!!!!!!”

Yvette laughed, then ran out too.

“I-I stutter because…”

It was a bright day, but there was rain streaming down the sky. Flash rain, it was called. No one in the small village knew why there were random rainstroms.

A young kid stumbled over rocks and grass as he hurried home, late because of his uncontrollable powers. He hoped that his stepmother wouldn’t be too angry.

“I’m not angry, just disappointed.”

“I’m not mad, just sad.”

“I’m not sad, just annoyed.”

“I’m not angry.”

“I won’t hurt you.”

“Words can’t hurt you.”

“Suck it up and be a girl.”

She never hit them.

But she did hurt him.

Mentally and emotionally.

His stress turned into a disorder.

He stuttered. He was shy.
