I have a superpower

Thank you for giving me a chance to play around and use my time doing valuable things during this quarantine period! When I saw this topic for the first time; I was thinking of writing about my parents or one of the world leader that has strong power to control and force other people. For an instant, Mr. President Donald Trump who has the power to control other countries around the world because the United States is the world-leading economy and holding the world reserve currency. More interestingly, Mr. President has banned some Chinese companies like Huawei from using Google and some other Apps. However, when I think about this topic again I realized that none of the above has superpowers on my life. Yeah! People view things differently; some people might give more of their power to the people around them like their family, their parents, their spouse but, some others might think that they are the most powerful person and has the superpower. So, it is hard for me to think of the dominant person to start this essay. Likewise, those people can influence our lives or shape the way we think somehow. For example, I admire a guy named Nick Vujicic, an Australian guy who was born without limbs. This guy always brings me power and commitment. Whenever I want to give something up, I try to remind myself about this guy. I said I am not alone in this world. I was born with a good body and family around me. When Mr. Nick Vujicic suffered from his life at the beginning of his age, he has never stopped his dreaming, never stop his commitment. Nick is unlike others because he appreciates what he has. When he was 14 years old, nick was sent to mainstream school and that was the worst time in his life because he got bullied by his classmates. Nick said, "I am special just the way I am because God loves me, and it's ok for me to be me." He believes that god sent to motivate people that’s why he was born without hands and legs. With hands and legs; people are not going to believe in suffering life. He appreciated his body because those don’t limit his abilities at all. He is now becoming one of the best motivational speakers who is visiting the world to spread out his motivational speech to motivate other people. Until this point, I think every negative that we have in our lives consist of powerful thing inside. Only this small insight gave me an idea and a better commitment to move on and fight with the difficulty and those problems in my life. Even though, People are not going to be happy all the time. People are not going to be successful all the time. And people do not always get what they want. Until some people said, life without failure is meaningless. I am still believing that problems are evident that can be shown other people later on when we become successful. I talked about Mr. Nick Vujicic; that does not define if he is the most authoritative person in my life.

I still believe that I hold most of the power. I can control and make every decision in my life. You know what? I faced thousands of problems already during my 25 years. I was born to a less income family in a small province in Cambodia. My parents got hard to find money to support our family when I was young. I needed to leave from my hometown to stay with my grandparents since I was five years old to study in a better school in the province because, in my hometown, I cannot find an appropriate place to study. I started to study English when I was 15 years old while; most of my friends have a better chance comparing to me at that time. I decided to study harder and harder because I want to succeed in my life. I got my first Exchange Scholarship to study in Indonesia. At that time, my grandparents did not agree that I decided to go to Indonesia because they wanted me to concentrate on my degree first. I decided to go to Indonesia to meet new people, making new connections in a different country. I received grade A for most of my courses because I speak fluent Indonesian. I feel great with that decision even though I wasted more time than some of my friends who graduated a lot faster comparing to me. I become a new person after living in a new country with a combination of people from Europe and Asian. I am more confident and more open-minded at that time. I realized my strengths and weaknesses. I have more ideas on what to improve. Then, I got another exchange program to study in Europe at LCC International University. And this time, none of them stopped me at all because I showed them that I am responsible for my life and; I know distinctly between right and wrong, between what to do and not. You might disagree with these points I stated above but those are just something I wanted to share.

In conclusion, a short essay above is just about my story that I want to reveal out that I am the most compelling person who can decide to do what I want and always responsible for every outcome. Just remember that you are the one who knows your strength and weaknesses. You are the only one who knows where do you want to go; no one can decide your way because they don’t know you as you do. Believing in yourself and do what you passionate about. Remember not to give up effortlessly when you face some obstacles. I am really sorry if this short essay out of topic; I work on this project for only some hours before submitting it only. I will put all attention and my commitment to the next topic if I have time. Last but not least, the one who has a superpower is me (myself).
