Zaful and Me

Everything was different than how I remembered, but it was better. My eyes were lighting up at what I was seeing. I looked around me and noticed the streets looked the same as where I live, but they were futuristic. There was less of everything and the air was cleaner. There were floating lights that resembled jellyfish, but they floated and gave us light. Wait, us? I hadn't noticed anyone else. I did notice flying objects that resembled small glass domes, that looked similar to the vehicles from the "Jetsons". Am I stuck in a cartoon from the 80's? what is going on here? I laughed outloud then quickly covered my mouth. I didn't want to make a sound and get sent back. This was way too cool. As I started to walk along the street that looked familiar, but way more sophisticated like a Star Wars setting. Everything was dark, except the laser lights that appeared on the ground, in mid air and up above. I continued to walk and heard a sound coming from me. I started to touch my arms and chest and wondered what I was dressed in. I looked at my clothing in a window reflection. I smiled with joy, I was in a shiny black jumpsuit, with pockets everywhere on the legs, arms and chest. The first pocket I reached in to nothing appeared. I thought well whomever dressed me liked pockets. I kept walking as objects flew beside me and above me. I wondered if there was daylight here and what did it look like? I was excited to know and hoped I was going to be here when and if day did come. As I walked on I came to a circular formation other people were there. Some were chatting and some looked confused like what I probably looked like. I stayed, I was curious to what we were going to find, when we got to the end or beginning. The line moved everyone moved forward.

"Hello" I heard a voice, it was behind me so I turned around.

"Hi there" I turned to see a boy about my age, he was dressed like me only his jumpsuit was very bright yellow and like my jumpsuit, it had a lot of pockets. I didn't ask if there was anything in the pockets.

"Do you know where we are?" He seemed as curious as I was, but like me no fear appeared in the boy.

I shook my head, "No, I am new here, it is my first time, are you from Earth?"

He nodded, "Yes, the last thing I remember, I watched a movie "Another Life" "It was late so I must have fallen asleep, I am wondering if I'm dreaming right now".

I nodded and said, "same here, not sure what is happening, but it does interesting" I didn't know anything so I kept quiet. The line moved fast and I could see people with what looked like guards all in black and with helmets with visors.

It was my turn. I turned to the boy and said "good luck, see you on the other side" I smiled and moved forward. There was a door and a dome like building. When I went inside, I felt like I was approved, by the guards. I came in to the building and there were more guards. I was given a lazer beam rod and I was told, I would be able to pick my mover. I wasn't sure what a mover was, but I was sent to another door so I went inside and there were machines, they looked like a ninja motorcycle, but the sat on the ground with no wheels none that I could see anyway. They were all different to the other, in color, shape and size. I saw a chrome colored mover and went over to it. I touched it and felt like a child at a car show. In awe and fascinated by the looke. I sat on the seat and held on to the handles. "Hello, you must be Zart", the machine spoke and when I looked down at the console, it was an actual face in chrome speaking to me. "Hi, how do you know who I am?" I questioned. "I know who you are, we all know everything about you Zart, welcome. If you are going to choose me, you have made a good choice, I am perfect for you, I will teach you everything!" He sounded excited to meet me, I know that sounds crazy, but for a machine it had a personal touch. I loved this little guy, I didn't know it's potential. The guards in black at the door gave me a device that looked like a cell phone, but smaller it was interactive with any of the movers that were in the room. All I had to do to activate the mover, was punch the name of the mover in to the device. I was sure I wanted this one. "What is your name?" I asked after about five minutes of sitting on my mover. The mover answered, "Zaful, but you can call me Zaf for short, see we were meant to be we are the two z'ds" I laughed as I typed in the name. Suddenly there was a light hum to Zaful, my legs were comforted by his sides, he looked like chrome and felt like the softest teddy bear against my body. Next a screen came up and had all the travel information. I saw names such as all the countries in the world and names I did not recognize, but I knw Zaful would show me everything, and as I thought it, he did just that. Zaful went over all of them with me it was most interesting as I listened to Zaf tell me all about it. I never thought in my life, that there was a gift like this existed. I had never known anyone to mention a mover. "So Zart, you can visit the entire Universe, in the world you know and other worlds that you never knew existed. Once you leave here with me, we can go to different parallels not only Earth. No one on Earth will ever see me not even your family. I am able to appear when you need me, I will never go away from you, but only you will be able to see me, I only belong to you. I can appear as a puppy if you ever want me to. We will travel at night, through the night on to places you have never seen, Italy, France, India, Tazdiomizodian, all the places without a ticket and we will get there in no time and you will join the likes of yourself, sometimes we will travel with others, depending on if you want to join other movers", I know it is all a lot to take in, but it is how the Boss gifts good humans, I guess is the best way to put it", his eyes on the console looked very genuine. Zaf had emotion and a realness to him, he was a machine, with human, alien tendancies. Like Zaf told me he can be anything. I believed him. He was also telling me he was a gift from God the Boss. I never thought of myself as special, but if I was here with Zaful and he was telling me this then, well it must be true. "Zaf, will we be together for eternity?" I asked, because I knew I was already getting attached to Zaf. "Yes Zart, we will be together now until the end of time" he was reassuring me. "All of these pockets" I said as I looked down at my jumpsuit. He laughed, "Every now and then you will find a card and each card will be a new place found or created in the Universe, we will be able to travel there and explore, each new place will have something new to experience, but we won't know what it is until we get there". As I pushed some buttons, I noticed Zaf getting irritated. I held my hand up, "okay okay" I was chuckling. "Are you ready for your first ride Zart?" he asked. "Yes, I am" I said excitedly. "okay all you have to do is pick a place" as he said it I had already swiped, The World at once. And next thing I knew there was a glass dome that incased us and we were sailing smooth as can be over the world. The communication, between Zaf and I was in synch everything I wondered he answered and the greatest thing was, everywhere we went was futuristic and suit the mover. Nothing was like the normal Earth I knew, everything was beyond anything I had ever known. When we travelled through these places nothing at all was what I had imagined. The history of regular Earth did not exist here. There was nothing bad, it was all good and new. I knew, that I was not going to return to my regular Earth for long, that world was ancient and I had moved on, into another galaxy. "Are you having fun yet?" Zaf asked me smiling up at me. We can land anywhere you like. We will find a place to rest, what you know as a hotel, is called a "slaz dome" here and it where you will rest and eat. I know you are too excited for any of that, but I will feel your need and rest us up when ready". "Sounds perfect Zaf"I said grateful for this unexpected miracle. As we sailed on in the mover above the world. We parked the mover and stepped out if I wanted to get up close to a creature I had never seen before. This was an experience I had only seen in a scifi movie, but only better. I knew the boss was something special, but never expected he was going to treat me so special in the end. I prayed and thanked God for saving the best for last.

The stay at the slez dome, was out of this world it had everything a regular hotel would have, but it floated and Zaf was with me the entire time only he rested and slept more than I did, parked at the foot of my bed. After a good nights rest, I climbed on to Zaf.

"Where to today Zart?" Zaful asked.

"Why Tazdiomizodian, ofcourse" I said

"I knew you were going to say that" Zaful said with a grin on his face.

And this is my new life, rarely travelling back to regular Earth though I did stop in to look at what used to be. Like I said there was no history here, no repeats like regular earth only the future in the here and now. Something regular Earth didn't know how to accomplish. Here there was no war, no office job, no racism, no competition, no racism, no sickness, no fighting of any kind and no money. We were all equal individuals here. This was an existence, that I or no one could ever imagine, until you got here. Like Zaful told me, it was a gift from God and I was thankful that I was gifted and freed of regular earth.
