Comedy in Its Unlikeliness

Written in response to: "Center your story around a comedian, clown, street performer, or magician."

Adventure Fiction Funny

So this story was supposed to be 4 different people, finding a way to make the world smile and be happy.

The people chosen for this idea are as follows: A magician, a comedian, a clown and lastly, a street performer. All these people perform a service to either help others laugh and feel good about themselves, or to liven up the mood and the moment. It is surely easy for some and harder for others.

So, let's say this, if the street performer teamed up with the other three, then there would be music and would lots of laughter. Along with this ensemble, there would be someone who would bring magic to the table and would add to the lineup of joy and happiness.

Each would work well with the other, yet the clown and the comedian, who are professionally skilled in laughing and smiling, while the music performed by the street performer would something new for them, and an up and coming. Each addition being brought by them would open the world of possibilities.

The ages can vary, their backgrounds can vary, their personal beliefs and diversity can add to the mystery and secrecy. Roll this bundle of personality and characteristics choice, and you have melting pot of humor and music, the likes that none other has seen, every before.

The comedian, who refuses to retire at the ripe old age of seventy-two, along with the clown, who is at the ripe old age of sixty-six, leaving both to fall into the old timers group. They both are aware of the statute of limitations for them to remain gainfully employed in a line of work they both have enjoyed for a long time.

But the street performer and the magician, who are around the same age, only off by several years. They grew up in a different time and are also part of a generation of interesting choices and conclusions. These are prone to choose other careers, especially when things start to take a downward turn for the worse.

They are all performing on the same stage, in the same city, and are performing in the order they arrived at the club. It is no wonder, each looked each other over and were equally not impressed, with the results each came to.

Each wanted to share and show off their unique talents, in hopes of signing off on a 5-year contract. It was about this time Jeffrey, the comedian, was called up first.

Jeffery was doing his routine, when while he performed on stage, a gunshot rang out in the room. All's attention was diverted by the gunshot, yet when they turned around to watch more, Jeffery was lying on the stage, dead.

Next was Munroe, the magician, who had worked with the likes of Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton. He was returning to the stage due to all his life savings having long been spent on the track. He was in debt up to these ears and was trying to gain a new following, but this was never to be.

Munroe was setting up his act when a shot rang out and once more the audience stared off at the gunshot. When they returned to watch the magic show, Munroe was also lying up on the stage, dead.

This left the street performer, and the clown, who were brothers, and had always been competitive. Leo and Leon were both not letting the other get the upper hand. It was like an act of survival.

The brothers started to try to outdo the other, which is never good to be trying to hurt the other or force the other to default, of course it was never that simple and easy.

The brothers were acting mature of this, but as they went on in their acts, they collided and crashed. The audience was getting tired of someone's idea being young and not aware of the mess caused.

When the audience turned to look at the acts, they only saw the two brothers laying on the stage, over in the middle, along with the other two, laying on each end of the stage.

The to the audience's surprise, the four individuals, deciding it was time to show how they had fingured out a way to fool one and fool all. As each was preparing to show their talents, they were picked off and fell into the audience who picked them up and made sure this time they would actually die.

Then as they were being carried back to their dressing rooms, when the magician weakly waved his wand and all four of them disappeared into thin air. When the people carrying off the four noticed they were now trasferring empty bags, they rushed to find out if they were still there.

It looked as if the magician had performed his final act, while the street performer played his last tune. The comedian and the clown walked off into the sunset as they went into paradise, I know this is an unlikely place to send them off into.

"Could it be that each had never actually existed or ever been anywhere and they were just a figment of one's imagination?" "Or is this an attempt to nake you believe that each of these, was made up to have you think there was four people, who if they were able to and would want to collaberate together, would even consider this, seriously consider this?"

It is only left to the imagination of anyone willing to dream the idea of this up and place it into words to be read by one and by all.

To be able to figure out a story of this, that would work out like this, would be enough to keep one's attention glued to it, for more than a few minutes. It would have to have a beginning, a middle and an end, with a way to show ingenuity and intrigue, to have poise and definition, all the while being mysterius enough and cunning enough to keep them preoccupied for a long long time.
