from anonymous" Melody said as she read the letter. Melody was so excited because she never has been invited to a party before so she was ecstatic. it was a bit weird because it didn't have any name on it except "Anonymous" but she didn't really think much of it as she was too happy. She looked at the clock and noticed it was 5:00pm. "Wow! time sure has flown by, I best get ready" she thought. She spent at least 40 minutes thinking of what to wear but eventually she ended up dressing up as Pennywise from IT which is her favourite horror movie. She spent around another 20 minutes doing her makeup and getting into her costume but she finally finished and was ready to leave. she left her house and started walking towards the address that was on the back of the letter. She arrived 30 minutes later and it was 6:30pm by the time she arrived so she was early and seemed to be the only one there for now. She messaged her parents saying she was at a friends house so they wouldn't worry and then 5 minutes later, more people started to arrive. Melody looked around and noticed everyone was in cool costumes like one person was dressed like Chucky and another, the nun. it was like being at a Halloween party. another 25 minutes later, the doors of the party started slowly opening and everyone stared for a few seconds until they heard a creepy voice coming from the speakers "Come Inside, don't be shy. Make sure to enjoy yourself" the raspy voice from the speakers said. Melody all of a sudden got a shiver down her spine and her inner self was telling her to turn around and go back home as this party seemed a little off but she ignored her inner voice and slowly approached the door and walked inside. The house was fully decorated with creepy decorations like blood all over the walls and floors, there were creepy paintings all over the walls and some even hanging from the ceiling. There was food and drinks on the other side of the room which Melody was happy about as she was famished since she hadn't eaten that day. As she was getting herself some sausage rolls, she heard someone behind her. It was this tall, nicely dressed man who Melody thought looked really charming. "Hey, this party is epic don't you think? My name is Oscar by the way" the man said in a sweet, shy voice. "Hey! yeah this party is pretty cool, this is my first party I've ever been too so I guess its the best party ever for me and my name is Melody" Melody said. "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to my party! I hope you enjoy yourselves. there is food and drinks if you want something to eat or drink and please, don't go exploring" the creepy voice from the speaker said. "I think there's something a little off about this party, don't you think? Melody asked Oscar "Well that dude from the speaker sounds a little creepy but I'm sure everything will be fine. what really could happen at a party full of people?" explained Oscar "I guess you're right but I'm not sure I'm going to stay long as I have a bad feeling" Melody quietly said. "I need to go to the bathroom, could u watch my drink?" Asked Melody. "Of course!" Oscar said. Melody slowly walked up the creepy, squeaky stairs. As she got to the top of the staircase, she looked from left to right to figure out where the bathroom is. She decided to go through the left hallway first. She walked past 4 doors and then finally found the bathroom. she sat down on the toilet and then heard dripping sounds coming from the bathtub. she ignored it at first but then it got really annoying so she slowly stood up and walked towards the bathtub. "okay you can do this, it more likely going to be dripping water" she thought to her self. she reached out for the curtains of the bath tub and opened them slowly. She screamed until her throat started hurting. In the bathtub was blood filling up the bath and all over the walls and then laying in the blood was a half naked man who had cuts and bruises all over his body. Everyone from downstairs heard the scream and ran upstairs. As soon as the entered the bathroom, they all screamed, some of them ran downstairs and some of them fainted. When everyone ran downstairs, they tried their best to open the door but it was stuck. No one could open it. Then they all heard a beeping noise coming from the speakers. "I told you not to explore, now you all must pay the price! No one can leave or enter" Melody got her phone from her back pocket and tried to call the police but it said no signal. Melody broke down and started crying "I knew I shouldn't have come here, I'm going to die and my parents don't know where I am. I hate being right sometimes" All of a sudden the lights turned off and it went completely dark. Melody heard people running and everyone screaming and then she started hearing stabbing sounds and laughter. She decided to run back upstairs and hide in a room. There were loud footsteps coming upstairs so she covered her mouth so the murderer wouldn't hear her breathing. The door swung open and she saw light coming from torches. "It was the police! Thank god" she cried as they helped her stand up and escorted her out the building. "You are a lucky girl, you were the only survivor" the chief of police said. Melody ran to her parents who were waiting outside the house and she cried and wouldn't stop and from that day she promised never to step foot in a party again.

Why did the invitation not contain where the party would be held?
