My story is titled A Librarian searching for something in a Library.

A Librarian is a person who works professionally in a Library often by searching for something ,providing access to information and sometimes social or technical programming or instruction on information literacy to users.

It can be noted that the role of the Librarian has changed over time.

In the library there have been keepers of dissemination of information held in data stores.

Also roles and responsibilities vary widely depending on the type of library.

The Library is associated with the collections of books.

Also the Librarian is a custodian of a library.The Librarian is also referred as the Library keeper.

The role of a Librarian evolved to meet social and technological needs.

Also the Librarian may deal with the provision and the maintenance of information in many formats including books , electronic resources , magazines , newspapers,audio and video recordings.

The Librarian may also provide other information services such as information literacy instructions, computer provision and training.

The internet has had some profound impact on the resources and services that most Librarians of all kinds provide to their patrons in various Libraries.

In addition Electronic information has transformed the roles and responsibilities of most Librarians particularly in the aspect of searching for something or information , even to the mere point of revolutionizing library education and some service expectations.

There are various positions and duties of a Librarian that involves a Librarian searching for something.

Olivia Crosby described Librarians as some information experts in the information age.

Librarians spend time working with archival materials such as manuscripts, documents, and other records.

The Librarians monitor the selection of books and other electronic resources.

Most large Libraries often use approval plans which involves the Librarian for a specific subject.

Also the Librarians are a fictional secret society that have existed as an order for centuries.

The Librarians need to increase their knowledge and then use relics for the betterment of humankind.

The Librarians responsibility includes hiring employees ,ordering books from Publishers, processing late fees if necessary and organizing book displays.

Most Librarians also coordinate community programs that increase library awareness while evaluating inventory needs for new technology.

The Librarian searching for something involves and included the duties of the Librarian.

The Librarian searching for something include

Ordering books,journals and some other resources.

Also the Librarian searching for something catalogues and keeps track of some library materials.

Again the Librarian advises academics on materials for their courses.

In addition, the Librarian makesure all users can access library resources and then search for something or books.

Most often in searching for something the Librarians responds to requests from students ,staff and other library users.

Again most Librarians manage library staff. The Library takes care of the Library and it's resources.

The Librarian then develops and overseas a large and varied library collection to meet some organizational needs.

Librarians always play an integral role in keeping up with the federal requirement for open access and data management.

The Librarian in searching for something must have the following skills that includes

The desire to meet and serve the library's user community.

Also the ability to think analytically and to develop new revised systems ,procedures and other workflow.

Also the ability to then exercise some initiative and independent judgement.

Lest I forget the Librarian must have knowledge of computers, internet and commercial available software in searching for something.

It is the Library that we often get much information and other reading materials.

Whenever the Librarian searches for daily newspapers and other books he looks through the list of books on his computer and the category of books where the books are being arranged.

Other times it is the Librarian who often goes to the Library in search of something and to read other books for Research.

It can be noted that it is only the Librarian who has the information and often helps students and other visitors in searching for some information from the Library.

Also without the help of the Librarian much information can not gained from the library and people will find it difficult when searching for something from the Library.

Almost all their times will be spent in keeping the Library clean and tidy at all times. Sometimes most of the work of the Librarian evolves around them searching for something within the Library.

It is always the Librarian who makes it a mandate to see to it that books are properly arranged in the Library so that students can find books and other journals easily especially when searching for something.

At most times ,it is the Librarian who gathers resources and other information for students to easily get whenever they are in the quest of searching for something within the Library.

The Library is the place where information is gathered and students are allowed to search for something or other books for their thesis and other assignments through some means of Research.

At other times ,it is when searching for something that most students gather courage to visit the Libraries to do their own research.

Also at most times Librarians search for something or information from the Library through their desktop computer, where they keep a list of books and the categories of books stored on their computer.

They also keep records of most Authors who bring to them books.

Most old books and newspapers are often kept in an archive for some future Reference or information.

Lest I forget , the Librarian in searching for something often uses the internet to gather information about books in the Library.

Also books stored in the library are also stored on the internet on the website of the library so that Librarians can easily visit and search for something or books from the internet.

This sometimes makes the work of the Librarian very easy as they can easily go ahead in searching for books from the Librarys website through the Internet.

Finally the Librarian in searching for something has the role to manage ,update, and develop a collection of books both by digital media and the reference database of a Library.
