The Last Human

     There were lights and sirens going off everywhere around them as they were rushed out of the hospital with their child who was born just an hour before the disaster happened. No one knew how it started but one thing they did know was they needed to RUN. So they did, but little did they know it was too late. They knew their child had no hope of surviving this with them so they went to one of the last robots on earth who was on their side, hoping he could help. When the three got to the robot’s shack they were warmly welcomed as usual by the robot who was named 30049 or who they nicknamed Bob. The parents Tom and Martha asked Bob if he could raise their daughter and protect her from the others the Destroyer Of Humans. Shortly after Martha and Tom stepped outside in the chaos where they stood still in fear as the biggest robot the “queen” of robots pointed her guns at them killing them in seconds.

     Bob knew his friends were gone so he promised on their grave to care for their daughter as his own. Thirty minutes later, Bob had packed all his things and even managed to “borrow” diapers, bottles, clothes, etc from the shops nearby. He then hid the baby in a pet carrier and rushed past all the other robots until he found a small abandoned house fully furnished out in the country where the baby would be safe. He noticed the child was starting to get hungry so he googled what to feed a baby and how to do it and made her a bottle then, when she finished Bob put her in the crib so she would sleep. When she fell asleep he started to unpack his things and when he finished he noticed he was at low battery so he powered down to charge. The next day he woke up to the deafening sound of the baby’s crying so he got up quickly and fed her, changed her disgusting diaper, etc.               

                                  18 YEARS LATER

     The child or young adult now who Bob had named Molly had went up to him while he was “sleeping” and screamed, “BOB!!!” Bob woke up and when he saw nothing was wrong he looked at Molly with the face he always gave her when she was in trouble said calmly but angrily “what is it molly?” “its my birthday!” said Molly very excitingly. “Well you know what that means right?” said bob smiling “PANCAKES!!!” yelled Molly “exactly” said bob. So Bob walked into the kitchen and made pancakes for Molly since he was a robot and couldn’t eat. But little did they know a disaster was about to happen. When Molly got finished with her pancakes her and Bob went to the couch to watch their favorite movie as they did every year. BOOM! “WHAT WAS THAT?!?” screamed Molly, Bob looked towards the kitchen as a huge metal foot smashed through the ceiling “something bad so RUN!!!!” screamed Bob, As they ran they couldn’t help but look back as their house was smashed to pieces. They finally hid in the woods and molly said “what's going on Bob” as Bob explained explained about everything that happened 18 years ago he couldn’t help but start to cry “i tried my best to keep you far away from the robots but they’ve found us and now your in trouble you see they won't stop until every last human is dead and your the last…” after he said that Molly got an idea. “What if we were to fight them and beat them” Molly suggested “no i forbid it molly i don’t want you to end up like your parents” Molly knew she had to convince him somehow “but i'll die either way why not try to fight back” Bob knew he couldn’t convince her to give up this idea so he gave in “fine i know a guy who can get us weapons and supplies” “ok Bob lets go”.

 As Bob and Molly arrived at Bob’s friend’s house he quickly shoved molly in the door and then ran in himself. “What was that for!” Molly whispered “can't risk getting caught” said Bob he led her into a basement where they were greeted by a small robot “hello Bob welcome i see you’ve brought a human i haven’t seen one of those for about 18 years” “I know she is the last of the human race but they know shes alive and the robots are coming after her we need weapons and supplies so we can put an end to the destruction and live in peace not in fear my friend so what do you say?” said Bob “ I’ll help but only because i want an end to it as well, and because she looks so much like her mother” Marty told them. “You know my mother?” “Who do you think named me?”. He quickly explained the weaknesses he had learned about the robots and they agreed on how they would do it. So Marty started to show Molly how to use a gun and how to use or do certain things she needed to know for the fight. 

They finally arrived at the city where Molly had been 18 years ago and as they walked something caught Mollys eye it was a small apartment building that looked worn down. She was instantly drawn inside. She walked into an apartment and saw a photo of a young man and woman who looked very similar to her. Then she walked into a room that looked like a never before used nursery and she saw Molly written on the wall with big stickers above the crib.“These people look like me and they had a brand new nursery with Molly on the wall could these be my parents?”  She said aloud “yes” Bob told her. She instantly jumped as she heard the voice and sighed in relief when she saw it was Bob “this was your parents apartment before they... you know” “i wish i could’ve met them everything you’ve told me about them makes them sound like amazing people” Molly said with a tear running down her cheek. “Come on let go” Marty whispered. 

As they approached the big building where the robot queen supposedly lived they were attacked by a large robot.  They all screamed. “How is this human alive?” the large robot yelled, “I saved her” Bob yelled. As Bob began to draw his guns Molly screamed “wait! What if he can help us defeat the queen? we could use help and he's HUGE, he could definitely help” , “your going to try to defeat the queen?” said the big robot laughing” “and?”  said Molly “”No one has ever been stupid enough to try that” , “Well we are” “There is no way i’m helping”. “Don’t you want her gone?” Molly asked, “Of course I do, who wouldn’t? But i’m not getting myself killed for helping some pathetic human and treasonous robots” “With you we are sure to win, and we will win.” You know what? fine, i'll help, but you have to do more work,” The robot named D-1594 said. As the four set off inside the building everyone except D-1594 screamed in horror as they saw the skeletons of thousands of people, but they reminded each other to keep going. Finally after several hundreds of skeletons, they made it to the throne room where the queen was “sleeping” . Molly began to climb up the robot but it was as if the robot had been faking it because as soon as Molly had gotten high enough, she jumped up almost making Molly fall to the ground. “WHY ARE YOU HERE AND TALKING ABOUT KILLING ME!” the queen screamed, with the queen busy screaming this gave Molly the perfect opportunity to crawl down to the queen’s back where there was a hatch. She quickly opened it silently and carefully crawled in. She turned on her flashlight and saw a ton of wires. She didn’t know which wires to pull so she looked around and saw where all the wires were plugged in together and yanked them all out. The queen then stopped yelling and moving and eventually collapsed right in front of the other robots shocked faces. Bob immediately ran to the robot looking for Molly and found her under the wires he lifted them and started shaking her to get up. When he looked away crying she opened her eyes and hugged him and he hugged her back “i'm so happy you're alive”  “me too” Molly said. Then something caught her eye. It appeared to be a freezer of some sort. She walked towards it and opened it. It was a portal she asked Bob what it was and Bob said it was something the robots used to bring back a dead one “does it work on… humans?” Molly said hoping he would say yes “it might we’ve never tried bringing humans back” “could we try?” Molly said, “I certainly will try, you never got to have your birthday present” said Bob. He walked towards it and started typing in a lot of things and it started to glow “why is it glowing?” Molly asked, “it means it's working!” Bob said, smiling. Then humans started appearing out of nowhere “they must be appearing where they died, come  with me i remember where your parents were when they died!” “ok!” Molly exclaimed. She quickly followed him to a little shack as they got there, a couple appeared. Molly recognized them from the photo but she just stood there staring. The couple looked over at her and Bob and smiled as tears poured down their face. “Is this our daughter?” Tom asked. “Yes,”  Bob said, the couple ran to their daughter pulling her into their arms. “Did you name her?” Martha asked “yes I named her Molly, just as you wished” Bob said. They pulled away from the hug and each cupped one of her cheeks in their hand, “Molly” they both said. After that the four went back to the small home where Molly was raised and they rebuilt the roof and everything that was destroyed. Martha and Tom had another child a year later and Molly got married and had her own family. Most of all Bob stayed by Molly’s side. He even walked her down the aisle, her father was a little irritated but he understood, as Bob did raise her. D-1594, who was now named Sven (courtesy to Martha) moved in with Marty and they taught self defense classes to kids, both robot and human. They would come to visit Molly, Bob and all the rest from time to time as well. For the first time in 18 years, everyone was happy and they would be for the rest of their lives.
