My story is titled My lips are sealed when Yaa Mansah and the young man Dadson stole the child by name Vincent.

Once upon a time, the young man David plan was to make an enquiry and ask Mr. Agbo whether they knew more about the stolen child by name Vincent.

Also David much often asked about the disappearance of Vincent the young child.

However David also knew that children were often afraid to tell an adult something but actually they did not mind talking about it to another youngster within their town in the country.

Again besides that if they were questioned they might have remembered something more about the man who had taken their playmate away, there wasn't something to help Vincent to discover who he was entirely.

As can be noted during a Saturday morning, the boys were all at the school premises as they approached their house Vincent could probably see them playing within the garden.

David then told them who he was and as soon as they heard that he was Vincent cousin they looked almost frightened and then refused to answer him.

David did not say anything about their missing playmate but then tried to make them talk about their game and the things they almost did at school but they hardly spoke and he was beginning to give up hope when a howl from the younger boy Vincent announced that he had broken this toy car.

It was then that the wheel had come off and the game was applied.

Don't worry mentioned David ,he thought that he could mend it. Also skilfully he began to mend it and the two children pressed close to him , forgetting their shyness in their best interest in watching him.

Also when the little car was ready for the road again almost everybody was chattering away like some old friends.

Now it was time to ask about the missing child Vincent.

David then rolled the toy car along the garden path and said without looking at the children.

Vincent is your friend , isn't he.?

The boy nodded then tears filled his eyes. Yes we are great friends and he has gone away.

You would like to help us get him back wouldn't you.?

The boy nodded again. Well, he asked Can you please tell me every thing that you could remember about the man who took him away yesterday that might help us find him.

David told his father everything about the stolen child.

Also they kept on asking him what the man really looked like but he did not know. He was just a man in his late forties. His father asked David ,Was he tall or short.?

I don't know and I didn't look at him much at most times.

Most of us were too busy trying to cross the road. Yes, of course you were. David could see no hope of getting any help from the children and yet he was almost sure that they were actually holding back.

However, he knew that it was no use getting angry so he started to say goodbye.

Also he was just getting to his feet when he saw that the younger child who had been playing with his car all this time was putting something into his mouth. At the same time his brother saw him and then sprang forward to snatch it away shouting : I told you not to let anybody see them.

Also the little boy screamed at his brother and hit him. He threw a handful of toffees down on to the ground.

He didn't mean to then he sobbed and cried out loud.

Also he only wanted to eat more toffees.

David picked up one of the toffees.

These toffees were an expensive kind, each one of them was wrapped in brightly coloured paper.

Also he knew that they had been bought in one of the big stores instead of from one of the market traders who sold trays full of local toffees.

Again where did you get these from.? he asked.

The older boy looked away and could not answer but the other said as though to annoy his brother by then.

It was the man who gave them to us.

Which man was it.? The man, Dadson who took Vincent away. ?

The child nodded. Then you were not telling the truth when you said that you did not speak to him.

Now, what really did happened.?

Come along. Tell me the truth. I did promise that I won't be angry by then.

The elder boy was crying now. I dare not tell my father because he would have beaten me mercilessly.

I was supposed to look after Vincent. The man then came up to us while we were watching the cows.

Also he said and mentioned that he was going to give Vincent a present and then he would bring him back to us.

He then gave us toffees and said that he could eat them while we waited for Vincent come back.

But actually he never came. Others had gone in search of Vincent but it all came to no avail.

Which way did they go.? asked David kindly.

It was down the road in a white Nissan car. He then put Vincent tied up in his car.

He had a Nissan car , didn't he.?

You didn't tell your father that exactly.

What sort of attitude was it, do you know.?

What sort of attitude was it , do you know.?

I don't know what made it ,the boy sniffed. But it was green.

It was lovely bright green , all over.

What about the young man.? Can you remember what he looked like.?

However, I don't know. We didn't look at him much. We were all looking at the toffees. We have not seen any of them like them before.

Again there is a different picture on each one. The young child held a brightly colored toffee and David took it.

Also how clever the young man and Yaa Mansah had been to have given the two children a present that would keep them from noticing who he was or where he actually went by then.

May I keep this.? he asked.

I then thought that it might help me to find Vincent.

Yes, of course you can. I hope it does help you. Are you going to tell my father all about such issues.?

He did not know yet.? I will see what happens. But if I do ,I will then ask him not to punish you at all.

Thank you very much ,said the child in some great relief.

Also it was obvious that he had been feeling very guilty about his untruthfulness and now both boys then returned to their game whilst David hurried towards the road.

Finally it was David's father who went to the Police to report both Yaa Mansah and the young man who stole the child Vincent.

The Police made their own investigations albeit that they do not know the whereabout of both Yaa Mansah and the young man Dadson including the stolen child.

Later they got to know that Yaa Mansah was an accomplice in the kidnapping of the young child Vincent.

David mentioned that his lips were sealed when the Police announced that Yaa Mansah and the young man Dadson were the notorious criminals who stole and kidnapped the young child Vincent.

It was then that David had a new sense of hope and possibility that the young child Vincent will be found.

Also due to that the Police carried on their own investigations and arrested Yaa Mansah but the young man Dadson luckily escaped away. They also found the young child Vincent and then kept Yaa Mansah in custody.

Vincent later went home and had a bath and he wore new clothes because he cherished the feel of fresh clothes.

At last a lawsuit was filed against Yaa Mansah and the young man Dadson who was later arrested in his home.

Yaa Mansah then realized that all what she had done was a mere lunacy.

They were both sentenced to five years in prison for kidnapping and attempted murder so that such menace committed in our society will be stopped.

Also decency demanded that the young children killed by the criminal Dadson must be given proper burial.

The all knowing Yaa Mansah who was once loved is now despised by many within the community due to the fact that she was an accomplice in a crime and was also sentenced to prison to serve a jail term.
