NIGHT IN A GRAVEYARD |

~A place where you spend the rest of your life after you're done with your life in this world.

Are you, crazy boy?! Going to that God-forsaken place at this hour doesn't seem something

any sane person would ever think of doing. Do you even hear yourself? Jake had screamed

at the top of his lungs but Tyler being as calm and composed as ever didn't even budge.

"Woah! There. You're blowing it out of proportion." Tyler rolled his eyes which made Jake all

the more annoyed. "That's just a graveyard. Besides, maybe we can prove all the buzz

wrong that's been going on around the town. And the best part is that I get to impress

Madeline". Tyler winks at Jake. "Yeah that's if we return in one piece," Jake whined. "God

willing man! Think positively".

"Let's go now and for once prove yourself to be worthy of my friendship." He teased him.

"Don't think so mighty of yourself Ty. And your little tactics won't change my decision.

Besides, I have some errands to run. You can go all you want. I'm not interested." He tried

elaborating as much as he could to make it clear to him but Tyler being the stubborn that he

is didn't pay attention to him at all. "I'm not asking you first of all. Get this in your head.

Secondly, it will be a matter of a few hours that's it. Now I'm not listening to your any

excuse. Pack your bags, you're staying with me tonight. " Saying this he made his way

outside without as much as throwing a glance at him.

So providing you with the preface of this story Jake and Tyler are best friends since high

school. Jake being the nerd defies to accompany Tyler who according to him is being childish

and risking his life for what? For the validation? and Tyler the adventure freak is adamant to

prove himself at the expense of anything.

Moving on, they took a few things from the nearby market. It was a few minutes after the

sun sets, they hopped in Tyler's truck and headed towards the graveyard that's been talked

about a little too frequently.

The place was a few miles away from the town in a secluded area. This place is talk of the

town since forever. No one tries to come anywhere near this graveyard.

The darkness had been poured completely when they arrived which added to the horror of

the place. After arriving at the destination, Tyler realized the naivety of his decision.

Weather was a bit cloudy for days now but they never realized it's going to be heavy rain today. The situation got all the messier. Silence, blowing of winds and darkness together were making the situation all the worse. But he didn't let his guard down in front of Jake. Throwing a glance at Jake's trembling figure, he made his way to the entrance taking small cautious strides. "Tyler you still have time." He heard Jake's quivering voice but didn't pay attention. Although every fibre of his body wanted to listen to Jake's plea but being unrelenting, he denied and without giving it a second thought, he entered the hideous place. Jake being left with no option followed him inside. They kept proceeding inside, leaves crunching under their feet causing their heartbeats to increase. And suddenly, they saw something or rather someone moving past them quickly. Both of them let out a loud yelp. For a moment, their breaths got caught in their throats but hearing a dog growl near them made them both look at each other with disbelief. Tyler was the first to compose himself. " Jake we got this buddy. There's nothing we should be scared of. That was just a dog. " His voice wavering a bit. " Of course, you'd say that. I don't know about you but Icertainly do not have a death wish yet. Let's go back now listen to me." Jake said backing away. "What do you mean? You cannot just leave me in the middle of... well nowhere." He glanced at his retreating figure which freaked him out. "I cannot do this anymore, man. And how far do you even want to go now? We made it to this place, this certainly proves something, right? Let’s just get back now." Jake tried coaxing him but it went in vain like his all other pleas. "Few more minutes and we are good to go, just a few more minutes, please. You need to hold on to me now. It's the matter of my reputation. I cannot just leave like that. We didn't come to this far too cowardly runaway and back off." His voice held such desperation and fury at the same time. Jake looked at him astonished as if he'd grown two horns. He shook his head incredulously. Giving him a last glance he started moving again. Jake's cowardice infuriated him. It was probably the effect of adrenaline that he was again moving with newfound confidence with Jake dragging behind. They didn't realize how far they had gone when suddenly Tyler shrieked making Jake stop in his place. Tyler had his foot on something which made him lose his balance. His heart lost a beat. Colour drained from his face, he stared at Tyler trying to understand what's the matter. Tyler himself was in shock. For a moment there he felt like his heart stopped. Composing himself he looked at his friend's quivering figure. "I got this. Don't worry, that must be some log was thrown here. " Uttering in a barely audible voice trying to control his shivering. He directed his torch towards it and the next moment they both were screaming like crazy. Under his feet was laying a coffined existence in all his glory. This proved to be the last nail in the coffin and they ran back towards their truck without even saying anything to each other. Tyler no more cared about what Madeline had to say about her, nor any reputation to keep up. They both proved to be one more witness of the horrors of the graveyard. And the

stories kept on moving around the town like before.
