The Evil Empire (Conquest of Noone)

Kamo City had fallen. The country of Kamo would soon be swallowed by the Nocee Empire. However, while Emperor Noone was getting ready to induct Kamo into his empire, he gave Nothing Knives two armies to conquer the Golden Forests, the elf homeland. Nothing accepted the task, and soon he was on his way.

After days of travel and recruiting, Nothing made it to the border between the Purple Caves and Golden Forest. His strategy? Burn the Forest. Doing so would allow his armies to march through without fearing ambushes, taking away the one advantage the elves had: stealth. However, the trees in the Golden Forest were ancient, with few being older than entire generations of elves. They held cultural value to the elves and in way could be used to make the Nocee Empire be seen as villains. Nothing dismissed those who opposed his strategy, saying that it was impossible for all the trees to burn and thus some would survive, ensuring not all would be lost. This did not calm anyone's fears.

Fire Elemental Sorcerers and newly acquired dwarf bombs were used to burn the forests. The elves tried to resist, but the flames soon began to get out of control. The winds blew, causing the flames to flicker chaotically, and soon the Nocee Empire lost control over the flames. Nothing's strategy ended up working. The elves were thrown into chaos as they had to fight both flame and imperial soldiers at the same time. To make things worse, Nothing ordered any elf survivors to be killed. He stated many times that he was sent as a punishment for the elves for their centuries of looking down on the other races. He argued that the elves were the worst of the worst and used past conflicts, past kings, and past political ideologies to make his points. His soldiers listened and obeyed. They watched the trees fall, the elves burned, and watched as the rivers and lakes began to flow red. This event would be called the Golden Genocide.

The smoke from the fires could be seen by those in the Green Swamp. The smoke also blocked the sun, making it seem like night had fallen early. To make things worse for the elves, their greatest rival, the mermaids, saw the destruction and helped the empire find and kill elves. They saw this as the best opportunity to take out the greatest threat to their underwater kingdom. They came from the South Copper Sea and began to make their way toward the middle with the Nocee Empire. The forest became ash, the buildings became rubble, and the bodies were broken and burned. Once the elves were killed, the mermaids retreated back into the waters as they had no desire to fight the empire, nor did the empire, as they didn't have the military and magic power needed to invade the Copper Seas.

News of what was happening to the elves spread as fast and wildly as the fires that were engulfing the forests. Rumors, tales, and stories were exchanged in taverns and town squares. The rumors began making people think of the empire as evil. Many elves outside of the Golden Forests, the habitats of the Yellow Meadows, began to speak out on the burning of the Golden Forests. Commander Crackfoot soon led opposition against the invasion and declared that any remaining elves would be under his protection and would turn the Yellow Meadows into a sanctuary country for any surviving elves. The Nocee Empire retailed by saying that the elves infected the country with evil and thus preserving them would cause more evil to later down the line. They also threatened to invade the Yellow Meadows once the Golden Forests had fallen and become part of the empire.

Around this time, the Silver Mountains had fallen to the Nocee Empire. This only added more fuel to the anti-imperial sentiment among the remaining countries, especially the Yellow Meadows. They started to send all kinds of aid to other countries, as well as cutting ties to the empire. They also began raising taxes on imperial merchants. Tensions between the two countries rose. Most of the backlash was targeted toward Nothing, and many people within the empire began to criticize him for making things worse for the empire. They also criticized how he handled the elves and thought he went too far by destroying so much of the elf culture. Nothing felt betrayed, and began to fire back against his critics. They called them cowards, and stated that they would have came up with similar plans if they were in their postions. He also then went after Crackfoot and had multiple slanderous hit pieces be made about the halfling. Most of which called him a liar, and a manplualter wanting cease power and undermind the Nocee Empire's influence bespite all the progress, freedoms, structure and order they have made. The hit pieces did little to swindle people. Many in fact saw this as confirmation that Nothing was indeed a villain who needed to be stop at all cost.

However, while that was happening Noone invaded the White Valleys and forced many necormancers to flee from thier homeland and seek refuge in the Yellow Meadows. Crackfoot accepted them and even convince several of them to offer up thier power to help fight the empire. He used several examples of how the empire and espically Nothing to help demonize the empire. The necormancers accepted the offer and began to make plans for a temperarly alliance. Then a month later and the empire began to invade the Yellow Meadows. Noone, with Nothing, led a campaign from the north and worked down south while Nobody started from the south and made his way north. the empire after years of fighting began to surround Crackfoot and his resistance fighters. They were desprite for volunteer fighters and soon began telling the news of the horrors the empire was doing to the towns and villages they conquereed stating that they were killing civillians, raping women, and destroying sacred temples and cultrual artifacts. Some of which were true, others completely false. But in the end Crackfoot had to give a final stand. He failed and died in the final of battle and soon the continent was renamed the Nocee Empire. Despite all the odds, all the accussations of being villains. Noone, Nothing, and Nobody succeeded in thier goals. They fulfilled the Chrissten prophecies. They united Kolora and made an empire under the banner of the True God.
