My story is entitled Joe Jackson argued that" I can't sleep late at night due to the death of my cousin Helen others thought I was suffering from insomnia."


Once upon a time Joe Jackson the young farmer could not sleep late at night due to the death of his cousin Helen whilst others thought it was insomnia.

Also the lack of sleep as in the scenario of Joe Jackson is termed insomnia.

The common causes of chronic insomnia includes stress.

Again the concerns about work, school,health, finances or family can keep your mind active at night making it difficult to sleep.

As in the scenario of Joe Jackson he engaged in a stressful life events and trauma such as the death of a cousin or illness of his loved one, divorce and job loss leads to insomnia the lack of sleep.

Mostly Joe Jackson can't sleep at night due to emotional issues such as stress , anxiety and depression that causes insomnia the lack of sleep.

Also insomnia is the inability to get sleep well at night.


Whenever Joe Jackson takes in too much coffee he hardly sleeps at night. "I can't sleep" were always the words of Joe Jackson at night.

Also Joe Jackson must stick to a sleep schedule at all times in order to avoid the lack of sleep.

Again Joe Jackson must always stay active and also sleep at the appropriate time.

Whenever Joe Jackson checks his medication then he could possibly sleep well.

Joe Jackson can possibly avoid or limit naps. Mostly you must avoid or limit caffeine and alcohol and don't often use nicotene at most times.


In addition Joe Jackson was cautioned by medical doctors to avoid large meals and other beverages before sleep or bedtime.

Joe Jackson noted that he can possibly force himself to sleep by engaging in calming activities prior to bed such as taking a bath or meditation.

Whenever Joe Jackson considers the relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or progressive muscle relaxation then he could possibly sleep faster and well.

Also Joe Jackson must avoid looking at electronic devices that often give off bright light at least one hour prior to bed time and then listen to bedtime stories.


This can however make it difficult for Joe Jackson to fall asleep.

Sometimes Joe Jackson is scared of the ghost of his cousin Helen ,he thinks that his cousins ghost will haunt him late at night when he sleeps.

It can be noted that there are three types of insomnia.

Among them includes

Sleep onset insomnia: Which means you have trouble getting to sleep at night.

Sleep maintenance insomnia: This happens when you have trouble staying asleep through the night or waking up too early.

Mixed insomnia : This occurs when you have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep through the night.

In this scenario of Joe Jackson the medical doctor cautioned that he might be suffering from Sleep onset maintenance insomnia or Mixed insomnia ,it is however not discussed about the type of insomnia.

The symptoms that Joe Jackson exhibited for the lack of sleep due to the death of his cousin Helen includes

Difficulty falling asleep at night

Waking up during the night

Waking up too early

Not feeling well rested after a night sleep.

Day time tiredness or sleepiness.

Irritability, depression or anxiety.

Increased errors or accidents.


However in order to improve Joe Jackson sleep and avoid the illness of insomnia,he is supposed to drink warm milk, Almond milk, malted milk , Valerian tea ,herbal tea and pure coconut water.

Other sleep wake disorders includes obstructive sleep apnea,parasomnias , narcolepsy and restless leg syndrome.

Some sleep difficult are linked to both physical and emotional problems.

Some foods like kiwi,cherries rice, milk,fatty fish,nuts are found to aid in relaxation and sleep.

Again Joe Jackson was advised to eat kiwi , cherries ,rice,milk ,fatty fish to help in n relaxation and sleep.


In addition avoiding caffeine, alcohol and heavy meals before bedtime is essential for the maintenance of healthy sleep patterns.

Some other foods that helps you sleep are the tart cherries and tart cherry juice.

Also whole grains such as rice, barley and oats can possibly make Joe Jackson sleep always.

Again turkey and lean white meat can also cause Joe Jackson to sleep well and have enough sleep.

It can be noted that when Joe Jackson eats fatty fish such as salmon and tuna it can also help him to have enough sleep at all times.

Again nuts such as walnuts and almonds can help in allowing an individual to get enough sleep.

Other foods such as eggs can also help Joe Jackson have enough sleep at night.

Whenever Joe Jackson exercises at regular times in the gym and at home he could possibly get enough sleep.


Some common causes of insomnia includes stress, irregular sleep, schedule,poor sleeping habits,mental health disorders, physical illnesses and pain , medications, neurological problems and sleep disorders.

When sleeping Joe Jackson finds it best to engage side sleeping since it is the most popular position as it may reduce snoring and heart burn and then prevent.back pain.


Again sleeping on your back side is the second most common position and it is best for neck pain and nasal congestion.

The medical doctor mentioned that Melatonin: a hormone released by the pineal gland helps an individual to feel sleepy once the lights go down. When sleeping Joe Jackson made sure that the bedroom was quiet.

Also Joe Jackson was cautioned not to eat foods that contain caffeine since it may cause you to sleep especially coffee. Most of such foods includes chocolates, green teas, guarana, yerba mare and energy drinks.


Finally, Joe Jackson was cautioned by the doctors to always have enough sleep and then avoid insomnia although his cousin Helen has passed away and the fear of her haunting him scares him not to sleep at night.

Lastly sleep deprivation as in the scenario of Joe Jackson can also increase the risk of Depression, Anxiety, high blood pressure,heart attack ,stroke, obesity and Type2 diabetes.
