Adventure Holiday Kids

Charlie turned around, her eyes could only see blurred figures walking about and minding their own businesses. She ducked down and her hands were uncontrollably searching for her spectacles, they were being stamped on by busily moving figures, suddenly her hand felt a piece of glass and unhesitatingly she picked it up.

After feeling the glass with her hands, she realised it was the broken piece of glass from her spectacles. Then when she moved a little further, she felt something underneath her legs. It was her specs, she picked it up and tried to fix it but she found no luck. Thankfully one piece of glass was not scattered, so she was not completely blind. She had quickly put on her broken specs and examined the carnival.

She had gone there with her parents and now they were no where to be seen. She was new to this country so she didn’t have her parents new phone numbers with her. Now she had to search for her parents. And she knew it wouldn’t be an easy task to search for them amidst so many people, and with a broken spectacle it would be nearly impossible.

But nevertheless, she decided to head on to a so called ‘mission’, well it was a mission to her at least. Now she knew about all the places her parents were eager to visit so she decided to take a map of the carnival that was lying on the ground and set on a journey.

Charlie knew her mom wanted to see the circus, so that was the first place she was headed too. Although she had the tension of losing her parents in the back of her mind, she still decided to admire her surroundings with one eye able to view it perfectly. While she was on her way to the circus, she saw a bunch of rides. Now she knew merry go rounds were for kids but for some reason that ride never failed to make her excited, so she stopped to admire the joyful faces of the children, and the music that was played while the ride functioned.

After a while of walking, Charlie finally reached the circus. She tried to look for her parents but she found no luck. But instead of worrying she decided to enjoy the show. She would have enjoyed the show more if one part of her specs wasn’t broken, but she still had a blast seeing all the fun things and stunts being done in the circus.

Then she decided to explore the next place her parents wanted to visit, and that was the sweet shop. She headed towards the sweet shop. While she was near the sweet shop, she could smell the aroma of delicious food being cooked, She didn’t have money, however there were free samples of food. So Charlie decided to try them, and just as she had expected, they tasted delicious. The food was handmade and was the kind of food you could eat every day. She went inside the sweet shop and to her disappointment her parents were no where to be seen.

The next place she was about to head towards was the fountain. Charlie’s parents and Charlie had been wanting to go to the fountain since forever. While she was walking towards the fountain, she failed to see a rock Infront of her and fell head down. She got a really bad bump on her head and her head was bleeding. Thankfully the people she was surrounded by were kind enough to take her to the medical centre located within the carnival itself.

She was in immense pain and the fact that she was not surrounded by any of her parent made her sorrowful. She didn’t want to cry Infront of a lot of people but eventually  gave in and started tearing up, the security has asked her where my parents were to which she replied that she had gotten lost and that she didn’t know where my parents were.

They bandaged her and put antiseptic on her injury and assured her that she would feel better and that they will end up finding her parents. They asked her to take rest and lie down on the bed. The bed was pretty comfortable and Charlie was extremely tired of walking, After all searching for people is a very tedious task. She didn’t realise when she had dozed off, and after half an hour when she opened her eyes she was surrounded by her parents. They had very worried look on their faces and looked like they were about to break down any second then. But before they could breakdown, she had started crying due to immense pain and also due to happiness. She was so glad that they were able to find her. Her parents pitied her and embraced her. That assuring touch felt so good and it finally felt like she was surrounded by people she knew, people who cared for her, people who would do anything for her and most importantly people who loved her.

Her parents scolded her for getting lost, for which she didn’t blame them for, it was her who failed to follow their instructions, by not staying close to them.

After sometime the medical department let her leave. They  thanked them for their hospitality. Her parents were just heading towards the exit but she begged them to take her to the fountain. With her uncontrollable pleadings, her parents gave in and took her to the fountain.

Once she reached the fountain, she was so mesmerised by the beauty of the fountain. It was like a transparent glass. Her parents and Charlie admired the fountain, and in a way, it did make her feel better and made her forget about her injury for a while. That was the moment she realised; nature does heal things. She along with her parents stayed there for a while and then they were headed straight for home. This day was certainly an unforgettable day
