Thriller Suspense Funny

This story contains themes or mentions of physical violence, gore, or abuse.

The principle marches into her office where Vivi is forced to remain seated after being sent for dismembering a classmate with a shovel for terrorizing a foreign exchange student with a dissected frog.

"So," the principle starts, pacing back and forth next to Vivi, "why do you think you're in here?"

"because you love me? shit I-D-K!" Vivi responds sarcastically after an unnecessarily long, deep sigh.

The principle slams her fist down on her desk in a sudden fit of rage over Vivi's behavior.

"No, smartass! You're being expelled and arrested for harming that poor boy, smartass! What on Earth would possibly make you think that crap is okay?"

"His hand is mangled because he was pressing the opening of a dead frog into a guy's face, ma'am!" Vivi shouts back at the principle.

"Then the kid can report it to me! He doesn't need your help," the principle suggests.

"The kid has been fresh out of South Korea for less than two days, how are you going to understand a thing that kid says? You can't even understand kids crying to you in fluent English!"

a police officer enters the room to arrest Vivi.

"I refuse to argue with you any longer, Vivi. you still hurt someone," the principle says, turning her back on Vivi.

"Get her out of here."

The police officer locks his handcuffs on Vivi as she eases both hands behind her back.

"you're under arrest for assault with a deadly weapon-"

"Your mom is under arrested for assault with a deadly weapon,"

Vivi snaps, interrupting the cop on their way out the front door of the school.

"anything you say, including the comment about my mom, can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney, if you can not afford one, one will be appointed for you. watch the head," the police officer tells Vivi as she gets crammed into the back of the police cruiser.

not long after they reach the police station, Vivi is shoved towards the police lineup wall for her mugshot. Another officer hands her a mugshot letter board that reads,

"Inglewood Police Department, Vivi de la Cova, DOB 7 11 04, HT 5 5".

"hold the sign up, look at the camera, and hold still," the other officer orders.

Vivi tilts her head to the left, sticks her tongue out while forming a big smile and winking with her left eye just before the camera snaps the shot. "Jesus Christ, kids these days," the officers say in unison while a third, female officer escorts Vivi away from the police lineup wall. not long after, the entire police station quickly plunges into darkness due to a random power outage.

"Wait here, Ma'am," the female officer says, leaving Vivi in the hallway. Vivi decides to direct her sights on the front door, only to see the cop who drove her to the station get mauled by what appeared to be a mix of a human-sized werewolf and a zombie in the dark outdoors. panicking, Vivi runs further through the hallway, hoping to find an alternative exit, or at the very least, another police officer.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit! I'm only freaking 18! Dying was not how I wanted to spend it!" Vivi whispers to herself while crouching under a flight of stairs outside the other end of the hallway.

a staticky radio can be heard behind her. she quickly grabs the radio, but just before she attempts to slam it into a wall to shut it up, an unknown voice on a radio channel begins to peek out.

"I see the power just absolutely shit itself, before I could even announce the cool shit," the voice says with a distinct voice that mixes a weak southern accent with a countertenor sound to it.

"if anyone can hear me, my phone number is 734-999-6969, I want someone to talk to while undead werewolves roam the lands of Inglewood."

luckily, Vivi had her phone with her, which currently sits at full battery. she turns her phone on and calls the number, at which point it quickly goes to voicemail. "Well, there was an attempt." Vivi softly says, falling back into the wall behind her under the stairs.

after a few long seconds go by, she receives a call, causing her phone to vibrate.

"Hello?" Vivi answers.

"yeah yeah yeah! Phone signal, baby! Woohoo!" shouts the man on the phone.

"who is this?" Vivi asks, still whispering.

"I mean, you called me," he accuses. "I'm just a dude, being a dude on a music radio talk show that only attracts other dudes, I didn't even expect to hear a girl on the other end, especially not at this point in time!"

"well, you do now," Vivi continues. "Do you know what's going on outside?"

"a bunch of hairy werewolf zombies eating each other because that's what zombies do. For what it's worth, at least none of them can run. you know, because they're-"

"yeah yeah, I get it, they're zombies. what do I do?" Vivi asks, exiting the hiding space under the stairs and approaching the door in front of her that leads her outside into a very quiet, nearly pitch black city with a giant full moon straight ahead. The realization that this is real life begins to dig deep into her head.

"shit, I don't know," the guy says after a few seconds of silence, annoying Vivi.

"I'm being serious, jackass!"

"so am I! Zombies wolfing out and howling at the blatantly obviously full moon? who on earth knows how to handle that? Van Helsing doesn't even know what to do with that information!"

"Who the heck is Van Helsing?" Vivi asks out of curiosity.

"Oh you uncultured little bi-" the guy stops himself for a second.

"I just wanna know, how old are you?"

"18. why does that matter?"

"It matters because so am I. How the f-u-c-k do you not know about Van mother freaking Helsing?" the guy angrily shouts.

"because I don't, man! Is he real?"

"In my heart."

"Is he able to hunt werewolves at least?"

"Also vampires and more."

interrupting their argument, an undead werewolf rams into the door, immediately breaking into the entrance, forcing Vivi to take off into the hallway to her left. while they can't run, they still have the strength of a typical werewolf.

"hold on, I'm running from this undead bastard," Vivi hollers into her phone speaker.

"I know, I see you," the guy admits.

"how the hell?" Vivi asks, panting from the continuous run as seven more undead werewolves hobble behind her.

"I sent a drone to your location to spectate your movements since the power's out and I can't hack into those security cameras, but I'm not telling you where the drone is. Anyways, I assume that little beauty outrunning limping dead dogs by a few miles in a police station is you?"

Vivi stops running to turn around, realizing she's incredibly far away from the undead werewolves.

"huh," Vivi utters, raising both eyebrows at the realization.

"I'm Kard, by the way." Kard continues. "either refer to me as the Disc Jockey, or the Korean guy you saved from getting a nose full of frog carcass. Also, I lied about being from South Korea, I'm really from Texas!"

"holy crap," Vivi responds, shocked. "wait, you weren't this outspoken when I was in class with you."

"Would you be outspoken if your philtrum was inches away from occupying where a frog's kidneys used to be? I bet you wouldn't talk like this when you're kissing a frog where its soul used to live rent free. Not even a princess would do that, but I sadly know one who would french kiss a frog on the mouth!" suddenly annoyed again, Vivi hangs up the phone to better focus on where she can find a weapon, if any at all. she treks the many hallways of the police station before eventually realizing something; everyone has basically disappeared, as if they have all been deleted by a single right click on a mouse. hardly anything around her is showing signs of physical contact from any human being, but that might just be because there were only three officers on the job. upon further searching with her phone's flash light, she finally finds the room where they keep their guns. "jackpot," Vivi whispers excitedly. she grabs a couple of pistols before shining her light on a table with a lot of bullets, most of them are silver for reasons Vivi doesn't quite understand due to her lack of knowledge of werewolves. due to curiosity, she calls Kard back, powering her flashlight off.

"hello, Kard?" Vivi answers.

"you really left me all by my lonesome," Kard complains.

"if I apologize, will you tell me why there are silver bullets in this gun room place?" Vivi asks.

"Silver bullets are designed to kill werewolves. Whether or not they work on undead werewolves is honestly beyond me," Kard reveals as Vivi stocks up on silver bullets and additional firearms before leaving to return to the hallways she ran from undead werewolves in, fully intending to take the silver bullets on a test ride.

"alright, Kard?"

"I'm watching."

"I hope you're right about the bullets."

Vivi fills her pistol's clip with the silver bullets she had just acquired, inserts the clip back in the gun, cocks the gun back and aims it at a werewolf before shooting once. to her shock, the bullet not only hit one of the werewolves in the head, but the werewolf also dropped head almost instantly.

"oh my god," Kard softly utters in amazement.

"wait, hold on, I wanna get my broken gamepad so I can pretend I'm playing you from this surveillance camera," Kard announces with a giddy attitude, the sound of stuff rattling on his end was loud enough that it alerted all of the undead werewolves to Vivi's location.

"alright, I got it, press... start!"

Vivi aims her gun back at the werewolves and begins emptying the clip as each bullet drops them to the ground until there's nothing left, some, disturbingly enough, yelping like regular dogs in the process.

"I'm a god! I win, fatality!" Kard shouts at the top of his lungs.

"That's from Mortal Kombat, dude. last I checked, I can't shoot things in first place," Vivi replies.

"Wait, so you know that game, but not Van Helsing?"

"Oh, would you just drop it already?" Vivi snaps.

"fine," Kard utters.

Vivi begins taking big steps over the dead werewolves until eventually reaching the door they broke in from. she finally reaches the outside after being stuck in a police station for a while.

"I've been wondering something," Kard continues.

"why are you in a police station?"

"I thought you would've guessed by now, seeing as though you were there when I got removed from class," Vivi says, walking around the police station to reach the front doors because of a half hour old text message from her parents, notifying her that they were on the way to get her.

"why are you about to reenter jail? who the hell breaks out of jail and throws their ass back in?" Kard exclaims.

"My parents says they would be here half an hour ago, I see their car." after noticing their car's doors had been torn off and scattered around the car, Vivi quickly sprint through the front door into the room she got her mugshot taken in.

"Oh no," Kard says with a stuttering, terrified voice. "is that them?" she shines her flashlight straight ahead before immediately dropping her phone, shattering the screen as she falls to her knees, immediately sobbing uncontrollably while curled up in a ball just a few feet away from her dead, severely mangled parents who are laid out across the clerk's desk.

"Hey, Vivi," Kard calmly inputs. "I'm so sorry about all of this. is there anything you'd like from me, whether it'd be as a friend or as a disk jockey?"

still crying but enraged, Vivi equips the assault rifle filled with silver strapped to her back and turns off the safety before rising back up, staring at the front with murderous intent in her eyes.

"help me around the city with that drone of yours. Whether I reunite with you in person or not, it doesn't matter; every single on of them will be dead by daylight." she declares, turning on the assault rifle's red laser pointer while marching outside the front door of the police station.
