Mystery Suspense

Dear Diary,

It’s been 2 months since everything has been back to normal. I’ve never found my mom since the day she went missing. I don’t know if she’s still out there or not. I’ve Kinda just let things go on because if I hang on to this one thing for the rest of my life, I may never be able to move on with upcoming events in life and I need to stay strong, for my mom. - Taryn

Taryn puts her book and pencil down and looks at Kade and says, “Are you sure you're okay with me staying here, I get that you don’t like living alone either but I’m a lot to handle.”

Kade replied, “I’m being serious, I really don’t mind. Plus, I love the company.”

”mhm. If you say so.” Taryn replies, “don’t you still ever wonder what those things were that took everyone? I mean literally more than half the people moved out of this city because of what happened. No one can just act like nothing happened!”

Kade said,” I understand that you want answers, doesn't everyone! Sometimes it's better to let it be so nothing else starts up!”

Tarya sighed,” But, don't you ever wonder who the other two people that didn't get captured are. Don't you want to know why you three didn't get captured and literally everyone else in the whole city did!”

Kade said sarcastically, "No. Who in the world would want to know that?”

Both Taryn and Kade sat there in the silence. Little does Kade know, Taryn has a plan going on in her head. And it's not that bad to be honest.

The next morning, they both wake up around 2:00 due to a loud “BANG!” They both sprint downstairs nearly stumbling over each other. The make it down there to find a huge brick with a note on it, a bloody note. They both stare at each other in shock and look at the note carefully. “Were always here.”

Kade gasped. “Who did this come from and where?!”

Taryn shrugs her shoulders in disbelief. After what happened that morning that didn't go back to bed. They both decided to skip school to and just hang out, after what happened last night, they didn't feel like it would be good getting out of their house, well Taryn's summer hideout that they turned into their house, and it's all the way on the side of the city. They've done nothing but sit around and just did whatever they felt like that day. But then Taryn got this overwhelming gut feeling, it was so strong that she couldn't tell if she was even breathing or alive. Taryn went to go tell Kade but when she got there in their room he wasn't there. Then suddenly she heard his voice in another room, along with two different unrecognized voices. She makes her way to the other room and...

“Who are you!” Taryn yelled.

“hey, calm down there they were just outside looking for a place to stay for a little, they lost their parents after what happened those months ago, so I thought it would be fine just for them to stay for a little.”

Taryn completely hated this idea. Letting two strangers in your house! Who does that? But she didn't argue and just let it go.

“So, who are you guys?” Taryn asked.

“As you know I'm Kade, but this one right here is Taryn.”

“Sup.” Taryn said, with a smile.

After a little while of talking and getting to know these strangers a little, they all had a lot in common. And little Did Taryn and Kade know, these two strangers would play a huge roll in their life. But out of nowhere Thomas said,

“Did you know that when everyone got captured, I was one of the people that wasn't caught.”

In shock, both Taryn and Kade looked at each other. Taryn blurted out,

“do you know why they didn't get you? Do you know the other person that didn't get caught?” In hope that it could be her mom.

“No and no, I swear something is up with this city lately. There's been like barely anyone out of their house lately like it's almost rare. Schools are shut down. And other stuff.”

While he was in the middle of talking there it was again, a loud,

“bang!” Except this time Taryn and Gabby weren't around. First, we looked for what the loud noise came from, and without a doubt it was from another brick. Now we look for Taryn and Gabby. But they weren't in or around the house.”

Kade things to himself,” No gosh no. Not again. It took me so long to find Taryn the first time not again. Maybe she's just out around the city with Gabby. I'll give it till 11:00 before I actually freak out.”

Kade tells Thomas that they should give it till 11:00 before they assume anything is bad. In stress and overthinking they both pass out on the floor while waiting for the girls to return home. Suddenly...

“Help somethings got Taryn! I don't know what it was but it's big and scary! And super-fast, it looked at me and I ran as fast as I could till, I got back!” Gabby screamed in tears.

Kade said emotionlessly,” I really love this city and all, like I mean I grew up here. But now I just hate it.”

Now all three of them are on their own to find Taryn, all by themselves. And Kade is stopping this for good he promises himself, even if it kills him, he's so tired of people going through this. So, they all three worked on plans for days that turned into weeks and almost turned into a month. They had to make sure it's perfect. They had to have backup plans. They had to do research on so many things like what to do if the thing was this creature or that creature, they were prepared. And now their planning for what they're going to do once they fix all this and get Taryn back. Now they're all set and ready to fight back and not runaway. Their doing this for everyone. And on they go to start their plan.

I was just wondering, did you draw your profile pic? because it is SO GOOD! And this story- amazing. It was organized and followed a plot, and suspenseful at the same time. The end was really well-written, it gives you a satisfied and excited feeling! Are you going to make a part 2 for this? It would make a great series! One thing I liked were your choice of names, very pretty :) Great job!!!!
