Adventure Coming of Age Inspirational

Poets, lovers, writers and artists, all calling from the heart to express love. Painting, breathing, writing, all capturing a feeling of connection, even if only revealing a flicker of reflection, memory and birth.

Unchartered territory, born out of a need for love to be launched into the multi-verse, created, captured in the joy of expression and within the willingness of hope and return.

The heavens above and the Earth below, magic in its true form as the full moon rises above in its mellowed tones, casting its light far and wide. Empowered in its own presence and influence over the seas, tides rising and lowering as we humans spin in complete unison with nature and our planet.

The sea, shimmering and sparkling with the rays of the moon, silhouetted by its surroundings and tossed by the wind, surrenders into its fate. Each drop coerced and bound by the mandate of tides and ocean currents, leading it into an adventure of epic proportions, leaving many of its inhabitants behind in its wake, as each particle travels fluidly and transparently across the globe, once bound only by name, placement and proximity. It is truly an illusion.

The sea fosters life. Marine life. Life, filled with an indelible majesty all of its own in its own uniqueness. From the tiniest spec of life to the giants of the oceans, still it is in balance and harmony with the planet, connected, yet undeniably contained and defined by the continents on Earth.

The moon, dry, desolate and seemingly lifeless. Stark in contrast with the sea, yet ever vigilant, is still in a state of balance and harmony with the Earth, all the while, directing its unique authority from above and gently presiding over us with its influence, as it keeps its rhythm intact.

Everything is moving. Not just the oceans and the winds, but also the continents. We ourselves encounter changing situations, both fluid and static, as we navigate our own trajectory in life. The landscape we can see, still the currents aren’t always visible until we focus our attention on them and through faith we investigate their depths.

We all stand under the same moon, we all stand and live on the same planet. We are interconnected by the wind and our breath, the trees, oceans and oxygen. We are interconnected by the mercy and grace of the weather, which knows no bounds, and has no limitations other than our thoughts and beliefs.  We are interconnected with water and our thirst for life, we are dependent on nature for our own existence as we shine in the brilliance of the sun.

We will stand under the moon’s light with a lover, feeling the grace of its presence as we connect in a moment of intimacy, grace and romance, hoping for acceptance, commitment and reciprocated love. Do we ever stop and ask how far are we willing to open our hearts?  How often do we stretch our love forward with compassion for the smallest taste of mercy?

What is it, we open to? and for?

Is it for the stroke of a pen, the touch of a hand, the sharp click of a camera button, or the mixture of hues on a palette?

Poets, lovers, writers and artists take inspiration from nature, from the sea and the moon, as they weave their magic into sonnets, relationships, books and paintings. Pictures captured from the heart and idealized onto paper and canvas to be hung in museums, galleries or on the walls at home, gifts of love and gratitude, to be admired, desired, and eventually retired.

What IS the legacy we will leave behind? For some it will be the romance of the seas and extraordinary travel, tall tales and bountiful treasure. Memories of shimmering moonlight on the crest of waves as whales’ folly and play close to the shores as we watch from the cliff tops. Tantalising tales, as we dive into a world of wishful romance novels and the hope of being swept up into the arms of love and compassion. Or will it be just the simple act of trying something new? A sense of accomplishment in navigating life by our own stars and chart?

The moon is always visible somewhere in the world, we all see the same one, yet everyone’s   heart evokes a different story and reaction at any given time. Yin and Yang, right brain or left brain, do we even notice? Are we inspired to travel into the far reaches of space as well as into our own imagination? Are we content to look for the man in the moon and decide whether it’s made of cheese or not? Is the moon crescent, waxing, waning or full? Do we paint it the colour of French champagne or camembert? Do we define it with love, lust, desire or judgement? It’s all our choice.

Do we sit by the shore and watch the majesty of the ocean as it ceaselessly kisses the shore, as the waves caress the sand and then withdraw? Do we marvel at the wealth of treasures it hides below its surface and the beauty and grace it holds in our world? Do we dwell on its health as we watch the seagulls soar high above on translucent currents of air and then spasmodically plummet?

Do we have the courage to write our own sonnet or paint rainbows across the canvas of our lives? Are we inspired to find our balance and harmony in tune with our own nature? Do we crave another perspective and way of life as we judge our existence against the backdrop and contrast of others?

The sea, the moon, the sun, the stars, the dawn, the dusk, the day and the night don’t compete with each other, instead they flow in unity. Each holding their own space, each holding their own power, until at times they stretch into conflict and devastation. But then, so do we.

The sea and the moon, and all of nature are instruments of grace and humility, a mere drop in the cosmic ocean of the universe. Larger than any one of us and larger than all of us put together. There for our learning, growth and life, as we connect with it all, in love, and through our heart we learn to trust in its abundance and beauty.

It is our world, a world to share, just as it shares its gifts with us. Look around, look down, look above and look within to find the light of love, and the peace in it all. Forever uplifted and connected in an embrace of pure bliss and Divine Grace, all wrapped up in an eternal dance of unconditional love for all to see, but only if you dare.

This piece felt like an invitation to slow down and breathe with the world—it’s beautifully meditative and full of quiet reverence. I especially loved the line: “Do we have the courage to write our own sonnet or paint rainbows across the canvas of our lives?”—it hits that sweet spot between poetic and empowering, like a gentle nudge from the universe to live more intentionally.

A truly graceful reflection on nature, creativity, and the soul’s longing—thank you for sharing such a luminous piece.

Thank you for this almost poetic and observational piece. I find that nature lures me into most of my writing. It definitely brings out my inner Transcendentalist.
