I am a native Appalachian with a passion for the written and spoken word. I spent my childhood in Southeastern Kentucky, which inspired my utmost appreciation for the aesthetics of nature. After graduating from Berea College, I worked a few years as a journalist and public relations coordinator before taking on the task as high school teacher and theater director, retiring in 2022 to pursue my life-long dream of writing.
