Who Are You?

Night came it was time to make moves. I just moved to this quiet, unstable looking suburban neighborhood. I didn't have much food where I was so of course I had to move. I love meat especially the big, juicy, heartwarming meat. It just became sundown in the quiet town. I started getting up out of bed and getting ready. I didn't know where to go first, there was so many places to choose from. Maybe I will go to the Minton's, or the Mormons. I could go to the Tialamender's but they always stay up late. I decided to go to the Courten's.

They had the weirdest kids and the parents were amazingly big too. That would be a whole feast. I flew into the night wondering what I was going to eat first.

I glided into the side window, for some reason they had it open, and started looking for my meal. I sneaked into the little girls room first and took me a big juicy bite. and started eating my meal careful not to wake anyone else up. She was delicious but had an after-taste that was sour. Gross, little girl probably just ate fruits and vegetables. As I finished I sneak my way to the creaking stairs, quietly pushing the screeching door open.

Mm this girl looks tasty. I seen chocolate on her dresser, hopefully that's what she eats. As I made my way to her bed she seemed like she was having a nightmare.

Well I'm bout to make a nightmare come true. I grabbed her neck and pierced my teeth deeply in her skin with my other hand around her mouth just in case she wakes up. I ate and ate till I couldn't get anymore. Ew she also had that sour mold type of taste. Now I just want to puke. These are some of the most disgusting kids I ever tasted.

I made my way to the parents room, hoping they taste better, I slid paste there already opened door. I was making my way to the bed but something caught my eye. It was a book, a book about vampires that i was read to as a child. Why would any pathetic human have this book?

I tried to stay focused. I was starving and wanted to devour something that actually tasted good so I put one of my hands over the guys mouth and my other hand over the women's  mouth. I took a bite of the man first but as soon as I bit into him he woke up, his deadly eyes overtaking mine. He was staring directly into my soul. What kind of man is this? He grabbed me by my arm with his breathtaking muscles. Then he started chocking me.

"who are you? what are you trying to do to me?"

I couldn't really say anything, I was in shock.

"I...I" trying to swallow but I couldn't. I couldn't breath. I threw my arm up hoping to start a mind compulsion. We locked eyes.

He let go, walked to his bed, laid down and went to sleep. I hurried and flew out of this odd, and mysterious house. Something wasn’t right. Something wasn’t right at all. I flew to my new renovated house. I had to start researching who that was or perhaps what that was. For the first time in my life I was scared. I was scared of the unknown. 

I grabbed my computer and started searching things like “what gains power when awoken” and “what unnatural creature can overpower vampires?” I got nothing. It was only saying stuff about a stake through the heart and garlic. I decided to just get some sleep. My stomach was really hungry though so i went to the fridge and got my bag ,of what little blood I had left, and started drinking. I eventually went to sleep.

I woke up to a bang at the door. I raised up got dressed and looked to see who is was. Some old man keeps knocking so I answered it. 

“There coming, watch it. There's a full moon tomorrow. Better lock your doors and bar up your windows cause there coming” 

“Who's coming? What are you talking about?” I said in a tired, annoyed voice. 

“THE WEREWOLVES! You haven't heard there going to be a full moon tonight they will be out!” 

I slammed the door. Don't no old man going to ruin my sleep over no weak ass werewolves. I laid back in my coffin. My eyelids felt like hundreds of pounds and kept forcing me to close them. I yawned, and shortly after I fell asleep. 

I must have been sleeping good cause I didn’t even hear my sister calling. I hurried and answered the phone.

“Yes vampiresses” 

“There alive! Just like in the book. I knew this day would come, were doomed, were all doomed!”

“What are you talking about?” My voice a little shaky. My sister only calls if its an emergency.

“The...the….”her voice was cracking.

“THE WHAT? SPIT IT OUT!” I said angrily.

“The….werewolf…..vampire……”

“Hybrids”, we said at the same time and with shaky voices. 

“What are we going to do big sis?” we only read about this in books there stronger than us especially on full moons. 

“Come back home and hide. That's all we can do. Pack your shit I’m on my way now.”

“Alright sis I love you.”

“I love you too little bro.”

I started packing all my things. I was scared for my life. They could easily kill me I’m still young and so is my sister. I started getting my things together. I texted my sister and told her I was going to fly halfway. She texted back and said she doesn't fly anymore so she will be in her red car. So I gathered my things and went on my way. It was a cool, crisp night. I flew and flew. I haven’t had much to eat so I was still a little tired. 

I finally got to the destination where me and my sister always meets when we separate. I seen her car but not her. Something was strange about this. She was always in her car she never got out under any circumstances. I had a very bad feeling. I started wondering around, curious on where she had gone. 

I heard a loud howl. I was scared. Where is my sister? Then I heard a scream. Not just any scream it was my sisters scream. I flew over the area I heard the scream from and immediately seen her getting gruesomely consumed. I flew down to help her but the Hybrid hurried away. I chased him till I couldn’t anymore. I was so weak from not eating enough I had no energy. But I tried to stay on him. I couldn’t it was too hard but i will catch him. I walked back to my thing, grabbed my phone, and called my friend. He answered “hello?”

“Hey yes its me my sister just got eaten by a hybrid and I don’t know what to do please help me please I was meeting up with her to hide from them and they ended up getting her. Please come to where we meet up at please come and hurry now.”

“Calm down my friend I’m on my way its going to be okay.”

“Beep” he hung up. Now, scared for my life, I needed shelter. I was running looking for a place. I found a library that looked pretty old and broken down. I texted my friend and told him I would be there and he seen the message. I was just looking around the abandoned, dark library. Searching for anyone I could get some food out of but I seen nobody. 

I heard a book drop. Then another. “My friend is that you?” I heard a loud, rumbling, deep growl. I started running. This time something was after me. I was running but didn’t have much energy. I felt something grab me with its sharp claws piercing into my skin. I looked back and it was the hybrid. It wasn’t just a hybrid, it was Mr. Courten. Now I was overfilling with fear, and my mind was racing. He opened his mouth and I knew this was it. I knew I was done for. 

I heard a loud bang then blacked out. When I awoke I seen my friend with the Hybrids head in his hand. He got revenge, We got revenge. I was still all shaken up. “How did my friend do it? How did he defeat the Hybrid? I finally got my voice back.

“How did you do it my friend?”

“There's a lot of things you don’t know about me” he sounded different. Maybe its because he killed someone. I don’t care I got my revenge. Nobody messes with my family.
