My story is entitled Mr. Nobody broke the rule in the cocoa store in the absence of Victoria a staff of the cocoa store for a good reason.
Once upon a time, Victoria a worker in the cocoa store helped to catch a young man who was a staff in the cocoa store for an alleged case of stealing cocoa. According to Mr. Nobody, the alleged cocoa thief claimed that he was not being paid well and his salary was too small to fend for himself in life. The Police Samson and Victoria walked to the cocoa store where the premises was not far away by then. During Saturday in the morning there was no one around the cocoa store and the premises was entirely closed. Within a few minutes Mr. Nobody appeared and unlocked the cocoa store. Others also thought it was Jerry Somebody who had been stealing cocoa from the cocoa store. Jerry Somebody commented that he could scarcely believe the story of what Victoria said. He then exclaimed that Mr. Kweku Ananse was one of his best customers.
Mr. Kweku Ananse sells much more cocoa than any other buyer you can hardly think of entirely. The Police officer commented that the cocoa thief who was alleged to be Mr. Nobody was stealing from the back of the store and then selling it to other customers at the front at a cheap price. Again good gracious exclaimed Jerry Somebody. He never imagined anything like that at all within the community.
The Police officer Samson then said that he wanted to find out if any bag were then missing. They then climbed over the stacks of cocoa bags so that they can see if any have been taken from the back of the store. Victoria then quickly climbed over the bags of cocoa. Well laughed the Police you are much younger than Jerry Somebody and me. I will like to tell you what to do actually. The Police officer then explained to Victoria that he wanted to know whether there was a gap among the pile of those bags at the premises of the back of the cocoa store. The man noted that it might be in the middle or at one corner of the store. The two men and Victoria watched exactly as Jerry Somebody began to climb the stack of cocoa bags. When he reached the top of the cocoa he waved his arm at them. The man lost his sight as he crawled along the top of the cocoa bags.
He was only able to then crawl absolutely slowly because the cocoa bags nearly reached the roof of the storage room.
However at last, he reached the back of the shed and he was very tired by then. This was just as the Police had thought entirely. It was realized that there was a large empty space among the bags of cocoa.
Slowly, Mr. Nobody turned and crawled back exactly over the rows of bags of cocoa. It was difficult then climbing down the steep stack of bags of cocoa but at last he reached the ground safely entirely. Jerry Somebody was very angry when he realized that some of his cocoa was missing from the premises of the cocoa store. He then wanted the Police to arrest Jerry Somebody at once but the Police would not agree. It was argued that Mr. Nobody cannot be charged with stealing cocoa until they are sure it was him. Victoria could be mistaken by then. Also what are you going to do exactly? Inquired Jerry Somebody anxiously in a polite manner. The Police commented that they were going to set a trap for the cocoa thief to be arrested.
Again the Police had a plan for their investigations. Jerry Somebody was to send all the cocoa in the shed to Accra as soon as possible in order to sell to some other consumers. Again when the cocoa buyers brought in more cocoa that it would be emptied out of the bags and then inspected and weighed. Also when it was put back into the bags. Jerry Somebody would put in each one a piece of paper of the Cocoa Trading Company on the cocoa sacks and Jerry Somebody’s signature. The Police commented that you must not let any of your clerks or labourers know about what actually goes on within the cocoa store. The Police then argued that you must be sure that you inspect all cocoa that is being brought for sale after that entirely. When the thief steals any of the cocoa bags a stamp paper inside the bag could help us recognize who the cocoa thief really is entirely.
During the investigations, it was realized that it was Mr. Nobody who stole the cocoa by breaking the rule set for in the cocoa store for a good reason. Mr. Nobody then argued that in the court that he was not being paid properly by the employees of the cocoa store. Also Mr. Nobody mentioned and commented that his salary was too small to fend for himself in a month. Again he was not rewarded and paid any incentives out of his hard work within the cocoa store.
Later the Police arrested Mr. Nobody and took the issue of the theft case to court as an alleged case. The Judges who dealt with the case found out that Mr. Nobody was guilty of the offence for stealing cocoa due to this he was arrested by the Police until he was granted bail by the Police. After Mr. Nobody was arrested by the Police he was granted bail by his family because they argued that it was not a theft case but Mr. Nobody committed the crime of stealing for a good reason that he was going through financial hardships and he was not being paid properly by his employees and also they refuse offering him incentives and other allowances for his hard work in the cocoa store.
