Who Is That Superhero?

What is the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about superpowers? Is it invisibility, super strength, mind control, or laser beams coming out of someone’s eyes? Usually, superpowers associates with comic superheroes like Superman, Batman, and Spider-man. What if someone told you that superheroes can also be everyday people like you? Yes, professionals like doctors, law enforcement officers, judges, nurses, and firefights are heroes too; that is something taught in school. And yet, the superheroes imagined in this story are so much closer than you realize. Their powers affecting people more than anyone notices. If you still have no idea who this superhero is, will you be able to guess with a couple of clues? 

1. Healing – One of this superhero’s powers is healing. Their gentle touch can be compared to a canine’s. Similar to a canine’s saliva, this superhero is able to heal almost any wound. It is as if she is able to heal everything, from a scraped knee to a tummy ache to a small paper cut. A simple touch and a gentle kiss makes the tears go away. A hug from her arms completes the comfort needed to make the pain go away. She even knows when the injury or illness is serious enough to go see a doctor. Mental or physical, they are always there to fix the pain.

2. Intuition – Another power possessed by this superhero is their sharp intuition. Their intuition can be compared to an owl’s. An owl depends on its supersonic hearing and vision to survive during the night. This supersonic hearing and vision is completely beneficial for the superhero. Make a whisper, mumble and babble, or cry and sob, this hero will still hear and understand every word uttered. She can spot the tiniest stain or is able to find the lost toys that was thought to be lost forever. People may call this a sixth sense, and maybe it is just because she is a superhero who possesses great powers.

3. Strength – Next power to be mentioned is the strength this superhero carries. This superhero’s strength can be compared to a bear’s. She protects the ones she loves with all the strength that she has from within. If it came down to it, this superhero would give her life to save her loved ones. Similar to a bear, she is overprotective and will show her teeth and growl if needed. She will give warning to back away, and yet, do not underestimate this superhero, for her strength is super. It is absolutely not a power to go against, so think twice before crossing this superhero.

4. Organization – One of this superhero’s power is organization. This superhero’s organization can be compared to a raven’s. Similarly to how ravens need to keep an organized social structure, this superhero needs to keep her days organized. For without organization, chaos would definitely stick. Organization helps keep order when all this superhero’s days are busy and full. She is scheduled to run errands, drop off and pick up people, and complete some chores. She just wants to be able to accommodate those in her life, so that they are able to enjoy their lives. Driving, walking, biking; the options are endless. Today she needs to go grocery shopping while tomorrow it is rides from practice to practice. Do not forget about the study groups, schools days, work days, play dates, and countless other activities this superhero is in-charge of keeping track of. They remember everything and keeps everyone on track every single day. Nevertheless, these superheroes continue to organize their days around the people they love because that is who they are.

5. Multitasker – Another power that they have is multitasking. This superhero’s a multitasker which can be compared to an octopus. An octopus has multiple arms (eight to be exact) and it is like this superhero also has eight arms too. When watching her, it seems that she can do everything at once. This superhero can talk on the phone, change a baby, and clean up; all at the same time. People have witnessed this superhero to be able to cook dinner, entertain her family, and wash the dishes. This superhero can entertain her guests, get people drinks, and continue to keep the house clean. It is an amazing sight to see how much one superhero can do all these things at one time. It is a power to definitely be in awe of.

6. Intelligent – Finally, their last power is intelligence. This superhero’s intelligence can be compared to a dolphin’s. Dolphins are quick learners and talented. This superhero is obviously a quick learner and talented with the many powers she possess. However, if that does not convince people’s minds, then she is also a quick learner and talented as seen by being able to take care of everything happening in her life. Like a dolphin, she expresses many emotions like empathy, grief, joy, problem-solving, playfulness, and self-awareness. She tries her best to guide people through life, even if the guidance or advice is not taken. This superhero just wants what is best for that person. Through life experiences, she is able to show her intelligence, although it is not till later in life that people realize how intelligent this superhero usually is.

She is the first one to love you, to hold you, and to feed you. She is so great that she will even use all her powers just for you. It is why she is able to be seen as a powerful superhero. It does make one wonder how she can do it all. So, have you given it your best guess? Try putting all the powers together to make one grand superpower.
