Oh to wish, upon a star, I may wish yet never to wish from afar. "How can I wish for that which may never come true"? To be the one who wishes for, though the wish I wish for was not less but not more.
I wish upon the starry skies, I wish upon dark of night, I wish upon with my breath I might. I wish so much I make my stomach tight, and with the wish I wish I am filled with dread and fright.
I sense the wish I have so spoken, I wished while I was wide awake, yes very woken. I sensed with my mind and with eyes open, I wished for something beholden. "How then can I wish yet feel disturbed, any wish is not a wish unless it comes true"? I know that when we wish for that one wish, it may come true, but may not be the wish that we wished for. The way we wish and what we say, could very well end in dismay.
It was this kind of wish that I wished for, was a wish that I did not wish for, it was something like the wish I wished for but so much more, that is what I dread. It was a wish that appeared from thin air, first the cloud, so white and light, then the wish became dark and darker, rather stormy with a loud bang.
The wish first was blurry, with no form, to be defined, then the wish began to grow and as it grew bigger, the wish presented a vivid picture, trying to take on some form, then appeared as a "human". The wish was neither defined nor devoid, yet started to speak. I was afraid that my wish would come true. It was too late before I realized that I had not spoken clearly what I was actually wishing for.
I had wished for a wish of all wishes, not sure exactly I had wished for, not sure I was wanting to know what I had wished for being that my wish was materializing before my very eyes. This was a time when wishing for what you wish for could lead to more heartache, more headache, and it would seem, more stomachache.
It would seem that wishes can come true, but be careful what you wish for and how you wish for what you wish for. You may not, in even a small way, truly like your wish, nor want your wish you wished for. "How much would your wish actually change or even start to help change anything that you was dealing with at that very moment"? Wishing for something is like taking a chance or leaving things up to destiny, which are neither stable or truly reliable, they are both as unpredictable as a hurricane's path or the stock market.
They can leave you "high and dry" only making matters worse than before, which wishes will let you down and then stomp and crush your dreams, your hopes and your desires. Wishing is never worth the risk, never worth being let down and left alone. The wishes you wish for may make you happy for a minute, may give you temporary satisfaction, but wishing is a way to imagine something becoming a reality. A wish upon a star, can give you hope, and can help you feel that you have something you believe is your own, like a secret.
A wish can make you feel ten feet tall, make you feel alive and without anything wrong with you. A wish can show you the way to being a better person, a better human being, which only you can make happen, only if you wish hard enough.
A wish is not only for children, who may still believe in the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy. Never let a wish ruin anything a child may wish for, if anything encourage them to make wishes, no matter what the wish may be for. Adults can wish as well, never giving up the hope when they wish, that the one thing they have wished for all their lives will come true. It is indeed perfectly harmless to wish, with no limit in sight and no boundaries as to how far one can go with wishing.
Wishing is a sense of well being, a sense of belonging, and of ownership. It gives one a sense of being in the moment, wishing and sweating, wishing and praying, wishing and wanting, wherever and whenever, one may wish for what they will wish for. No matter how small or how great the wish(es) are spoken or thought of, the wish you wish for may come true, when you only believe it will, and if the wish you wish for is meant to be granted to you, at that moment.
Wishing can be when you are at a sports game, in a bar or in a restaurant, in a place of worship, then location is not important, (except while driving or handling heavy machinery), nor is the time of day or night important either (unless you live in a part of Alaska that has 6 months of day and 6 months of night year round). The idea behind a wish is more important, for many reasons. Trying to name the obvious, is harder than you think, "how the wish is spoken is the first one"?. The second being "what are you specifically wanting to wish for"?. The third one is "how soon would you want the wish to happen"?
Yes these 3 questions may seem not too important, yet why would you just ask for a simple wish when the idea of wishing can lead bigger and better things. The possibilities are endless. The simple ideas that you can wish for seem to go on forever (and a day). You may become excited at the very idea of you, yes you, making a simple, basic wish even if you are a little skeptical. Surely you believe in something as important as making a wish, something that may matter to in some small way. Yes wishes are named other titles, but that is not even remotely important at this point and time.
What is important is that anyone can make a wish, anytime, anywhere, for any reason, anyhow. That's what makes wishing such an easy and worthy process, but best of all wishing is free. Everyone likes things that are free.
Wishing does come with an obvious warning, which states this: Be careful what you wish for.
