Fantasy Science Fiction Urban Fantasy

Above a hill where countless exotic flying creatures used to exist and still do and where mystical phenomena never cease to manifest questioning spectacles, is a beautiful gallery, built and headed by an anonymous group. Unlike many casual hills, this hill was a harbor of an ever green garden: beautiful, with sweet scented flowers. The gallery was high on top on this hill that's on a mountain, overlooking a city. The beauty of the gallery is attributed to its fine glass-like walls and roof almost futuristic, very exotic, its interior was a little quite with an unending fantasy Electro-music, originating from nowhere making artists and onlookers delve into awe and maze. The inside of a gallery was partitioned into three major sections, two sections were on a common floor with the third section built underground where it extends to the slope of the hill, where its three big and robust glass-like windows kiss the air, these windows were acting like mere windows and doors at different times. This underground section is the vastest of all and more perplexing because of the maze and aura it's possessing, and at the inner most side from the windows near its roof, is a floating man in full lotus position delved into allegedly eternal meditation. But something special and physics defying was happening in this section, the arts' canvases were like wombs, manifesting 2d paintings from the canvases into literally material entities of so.

Viewers would pay to onlook onto paintings and few sculptures in the gallery but it was very expensive making it into the underground section because of the maze, beauty and information that those paintings were carrying down there and even something more than that: the manifestation of true or living shapes of mere 2d paintings and even some more supernatural phenomena. Only few billionaires and renowned researchers were visiting the underground chamber and on rare occasions.

Several artists and sculptors subscribed to bring their arts at the gallery but one painting artist was being paid enormously high, he was very rich and he left unanswered questions to his local neighbors and far-fetched friends. The gallery on the green hill has this artist as its agency of the enigmatic spectacles happening in the lower section. His arts were very expensive and some, very surreal and exotic. This man possessed several skills, a zoologist, an alchemist and a secret magician, these skills were hidden from the majority of other people who knew him as a painting artist and rich, but always questioned how a petty painting artist gets this rich.

As a passionate book reader and with some few hidden skills, this man was also caging absolutely rare breed of snakes, at least it may be hinted he uses these snakes in painting and this is the part that makes paintings sometimes lifeless and sometimes living, it's claimed that these snakes embody supernatural powers, they have the ability of transparency and relocation according to their handler's instructions, their scales are made of tiny grains of pure diamond and gold kind of naturally glued to them, their venom is an instant killing poison, but when male and female venoms are mixed, create an antidote of a venom of any existing snake and this mix when let to cool on a constant breeze can make any wish spelled above it come true, and there's a lot of other mysterious abilities those snakes.

This man would sit in front of a canvas in his tranquil room with one snake spirally folding on each of his hands and their heads ending on his palms, he had a small book beside him, he was reading the book and upon pinching snakes' heads they flashed a venom of different colors according to the painting and as he was dancing his hands, venoms were creating painting on a canvas. He used to draw creatures and enigmatic vintage and futuristic objects and on rare occasions he drew people because people were often difficult to handle when they realize from the paintings at night in the gallery. After he always finishes painting he waits until night to observe how the manifest from the painting behaves and if it behaves hectic, he uses the older snake's venom to erase the painting and repaints another, may be of a more languid manifest.

Inside the walls of the underground chamber are integrated electromagnetic devices of unexplainable circuitry which emit invisible radiations that help to make manifests more gentle and suggestible but human manifests tend to defy them and act hectic and consciously, that's why human paintings are very rare down there.

According to the artist instructions, the manifestation happens when its dark and the manifests return to the paintings just before sunrise.

One day on a spring season, one rich man and a conspiracy theorist arrived at the green hill requesting to visit the underground part, as far as the gallery was anonymously operated, the process went like this: As this man already processed a request on online portal of the gallery and was given ID number, at the gate of the valley he entered the ID code on the on-wall device, the door opened and he was on the floor of the two common sections in middle of a myriad of different common arts and sculptures, he gave them a careful look, and then moved on and approached at the door of the elevator to the underground chamber, again he re-entered the same code, boarded the elevator and swash it took him down to the vault of beauty and unexplained phenomena, the lower chamber. Upon stepping into it, his sensations began to elevate as the electro music and beautiful smell thrilled his nerves as if his consciousness was optimizing, wonderful ecstasy. It was around six pm, in there he saw one famous man and that artist who today brought in another art, as a conspiracy theorist, he went to one of the paintings and began to study it as he was absorbed by its style, it was a beautiful creature resembling a meerkat with colorful wings, four limbs and an abdomen with glowing dots. The man started to draw it, and beside his drawing was a man resembling Graham Bell but rather this man in painting was attired in almost futuristic. As the man kept on drawing the creature, dusk arrived and lights from the windows began to fade and then that creature blinked its eye on the canvas, the man was shocked with awe as he believed he was beginning to see wonderful things and then seconds later, the canvas trembled tinily and the creature shook its head and then all paintings in that room began to smoothly rumble in unison as creatures and objects on paintings were emerging onto the 3D existence alive and functioning.

The man carefully watched as that creature was struggling out of the canvas and take its true shape as if it was being birthed and then finally it popped out, floating in air flapping it's wings and gazing around observing the surrounding, also the man from the adjacent painting was out keenly studying the room. That conspiracy theorist neared him and asked who he was and he replied Graham Bell and started talking strange language that no one in there understood, and then started to shout in that strange language. The artist who was mingling with other realized futuristic objects and other mutant creatures neared to Graham and spoke in another strange language and then Graham nodded and stayed calm. The conspiracy theorist went around and was staring at other objects most of which were emitting holograms of different abilities, like videos of earth's past life, speak what some animals feel and show videos of the future in spacetime, even showing videos of civilizations on distant planets in the cosmos.

He went on observing other wonderful creatures beautiful more than human who were capable of countless paranormal abilities.

Clock was ticking and time was counting down all through the night into the morning. As as the windows let tiny sun lights in, the objects and creatures began to slowly near their canvases and dive into them recreating original paintings and then when it was full sun light the room was quite and every object and creature was static on a 2d existence on the paintings and everyone left the room.

Hi, welcome to Reedsy and thanks for following me. So, this is a good first entry but I had a problem with the sentence structure. Some of them were as long as a paragraph. The long sentences made me feel like I had to catch up to the meaning of the sentence(like I was running downhill trying to catch a ball that kept rolling). It made me feel tired and like I would never get to the ending. Your idea was there but hidden under too many words. What I would suggest is that you rewrite this using less commas (sometimes, a comma is more effe...

Hey there, Thanks for some constructive advice. I am glad you noticed something that if corrected may change my writing chops, making my stories clear and gripping. One of the tactics I wanna improve is making my story understandable and compulsive by anyone from pro writers/readers to the novices. By the way, "trembled tinily" =the canvas trembled at a minute degre

Beautiful poetic imagery and rhythms make the writing style unique. The concept of the museum art giving birth to live art is done with imagination and originality. Very interesting to read and I enjoyed this story. Well done!

Hi. I really like the prose style in this one. It is the longest paragraphs that have kept my attention since Jack Kerouac wrote on drugs fifty years ago. (If I could hear you on the violin or play a piano I would expect that you very much elongate the notes). Or else I would guess that you come from a place where some of the story might have been translated? The parade of words really works for me. The story? It has some charm. Thank you.

Hey, thanks for some motivation, I just created a story from mere imagination and concerning some true mysterious stories, I can quest and write them up, I believe they are plenty here though I am hugely fond of fantasies and mysteries. I am from Tanzania in East Africa, thanks for chitchating with you, I I hope we are gonna keep in touch. 🥂
