My story is titled It's hardly brain surgery trapping a cocoa thief.
Once upon a time, the twins both Victor and Victoria helped the Police to catch and arrest a cocoa thief.
The Superintendent Arnold and the twins walked quickly to the cocoa store. It was noted the cocoa store was not far away by then.
As was noted one Friday morning there was no one around and the store was closed.
Mr. James Brown appeared at an instant and then unlocked the store.
The young man could scarcely believe the story of Victoria. Why! he exclaimed ,Mr. Johnson was one of our best customers. This man often sells much cocoa than any other buyer.
Also that may be replied the Superintendent Arnold but he could easily be stealing from the back of the cocoa store and selling it to you at the front desk.
"My good gracious ! " exclaimed Mr. James Brown. He never imagined anything at that moment.
Superintendent Arnold then said that he wanted to find out if any cocoa bags were missing .
The Supervisors of the cocoa store climbed over the stacks of cocoa bags so that they can see if any have been taken from the back of of the cocoa store, he said.
He mentioned that the cocoa bags can be in the middle or at one particular corner. Also both the two men and Victoria actually watched as Victor began to climb the stack of cocoa bags. As Victor climbed the stack of cocoa bags he was certain that he might easily fall down from the bags of cocoa.
Whenever he reached the top he looked down at them and waved his arm as a signal that he had reached the top of the stacks of cocoa bags.
In addition, at that moment he was able to crawl slowly because the cocoa bags nearly reached the roof.
He then reached the back of the shed.
It was just as the Superintendent Arnold had thought.
There was a large empty space among these bags of cocoa.
As can be noted slowly, Victor turned and crawled back over the rows of cocoa bags in the cocoa store house.
However, it was difficult in climbing down the steep stack of cocoa bags but at last he reached the ground safely without falling to the ground immediately.
Mr. James Brown became very angry when he realised that some of his cocoa was missing within the store house. The young man Mr. James Brown was not happy about the stolen bags of cocoa that was stolen or misplaced within the store house. He however wanted the Police to arrest Mr. Karika at once but the Superintendent Arnold did not agree with such issues. Mr. Karika also denied the allegations of the stolen bags of cocoa.
The Superintendent Arnold mentioned that he could not charge anybody by stealing cocoa until he was really sure that it was Mr. Karika.
However, Victoria could be mistaken by then.
Mr. James Brown inquired anxiously ,What are you going to do.?
The Superintendent Arnold mentioned that he was going to set a trap for the thief and other culprits who often stole cocoa in his cocoa store house.
Mr. Arnold mentioned that whoever finds the cocoa thief would be given a reward of $10,000 dollars as planned.
Again his plan was that Mr. James Brown was to send all his cocoa in the shed of the store house to New Jersey in America as soon as possible.
This was to avoid the thieves from stealing more bags of cocoa from the store house.
Another instant was that when the cocoa buyers brought in more cocoa and stored it in the store house ,it got stolen and was emptied out of the bags then inspected and later weighed.
Also, when it was put back into the bags ,Mr. James Brown would put in each one a blue piece of paper.
Also on the paper would be the stamp of the Cocoa Trading Company and Mr. James Browns own signature signed on them.
In addition he mentioned not to let any of the clerks or labourers know about such issues as commented by the Superintendent Arnold.
Mr. Arnold the Superintendent mentioned that one must inspect all the cocoa that is being brought for sale from the store house due to the fact that some might have been stolen.
However if any of the bags contains a blue piece of paper then we will always know who the cocoa thief or criminal was entirely.
Finally, aftermath of this issue Mr. Arnold the Superintendent of Police was informed that on one Monday morning, Mr. Karika the Assistant storekeeper came to the marketplace with ten bags of cocoa alleged to have been stolen from the storehouse and wanted to sell it to the Food and Drugs Authority in order for him to export it and then he earns some foreign exchange.
However the officers realised that they were stolen items such as cocoa products, albeit that Mr. Karika brought in bags of cocoa stolen from the store house.
Also both Victoria and Victor made a report to the Police about the thief.
It was Victor and Victoria who helped the Police to arrest Mr. Karika and other culprits who often stole cocoa at the store house.
Due to the fact that they made a report about the suspect of the cocoa thief, they were given a reward of $10,000 dollars which they used for investment and invested in real estate.
They also used part of their money in buying lands and also that their families were given and ensured life insurance at all times.
The Superintendent of Police then arrested Mr. Karika for stealing cocoa from the store house. When he was taken to the court a lawsuit was filed against him, due to this he was sentenced to two years in prison with hard labour until he was finally granted bail by his family.
Later Mr. James Brown noted that it was hardly brain surgery when trapping a cocoa thief , this means that it was so easy to trap and arrest a cocoa thief within the community.
