Adventure Fantasy Friendship

“Okay Class! Pop quiz.” A female voice chimed cheerfully, my eyes fluttering open. Decaying walls of a single room classroom blurred into clarity, Boran groaning awake next to me. Attempting to get up from the worn desk, a chain yanked me back down. Boran cursed wildly, our eyes falling on a giggling woman with the perfect hourglass figure. Cocking my brows at her onyx leather corset and tight leather pant combo. The deep cleavage threatened to escape, her spike covered heel slamming onto my desk. Her long emerald coat fluttered in the gentle breeze, her red painted nails tracing my cheek. Watching his violet waves cascade off of her shoulders, her black lips curling into a sly grin. Ruby eyes glittered with hunger, her pale skin making me look tan. Smashing her lips into mine, Boran’s chains rattled in protest. Biting her lips, she ripped my head back by my hair. Hatred burned in my eyes, her fingers lifting up my chin.

“You didn’t know.” She mused, turning towards Boran. “She kissed somebody else. Granted it was to free everyone and you hated every minute of it didn’t you.” Tears welled up in Boran’s eyes, his face falling. I had never intended to tell him as the guilt nearly buried me. Huffing in rage, the chains threatened to break. Shaking her head, the desk creaked the moment she landed on his desk. Taking an emerald whip from her belt, a quick flick of her wrist resulted in a cut across his forehead. Grabbing him by his hair, her snake tongue licked the blood off of his forehead.

“I am going to teach you two a lesson. You can call me Lady Lust.” She introduced herself, kissing him sensually. “I am going to kill your husband and you will become my princess.” Cocking my brow, a strained sure flooded from my lips. Narrowing my eyes in her direction, Boran refused to look at me.

“Do what you want.” He retorted sarcastically, shooting daggers in my direction. “I couldn’t care less right now. She lied and she will have to explain herself. Could you give us a moment? It’s not like we are going to go anywhere.” Shrugging her shoulders, she pulled out a cigarette. Holding it out to me, her brows raised in shock.

“Fire now!” She demanded sensually, lowering her cigarette to my dragon hand. “I am going to stay here because I am not stupid.” Snapping my fingers, a flame flickered to life. Holding her cigarette by the flames, the tip turned to a dull ash. Sucking in the nicotine, her head leaned back. Sitting on my desk, her leg dangled over the edge. Malice glittered in her eyes, her hand motioning for us to continue.

“I wouldn’t be mad if you had just told me!” He bellowed with a bit of wicked laughter, flipping me off from underneath the desk. “This is all you ever did growing up. Whatever happened to letting people help you?” Crazed laughter rumbled in my throat, a deep breath pouring from my lips. Shooting daggers in his direction, so many words rested on the tip of my tongue. Choosing the high road, an apology was in order.

“I am sorry. I only did it to get the keys.” I apologized, flashing him a nervous grin. “I shouldn’t have done that but it was my only option at the time. I needed to get out of the cage to get back to you. I almost threw up in his mouth if it makes you feel better. I had to protect Mishal.” His expression softened, his death glare falling on Lady Lust. Disappointment dimmed her eyes, her another slow suck resulted in a heart shaped cloud. Pressing her cigarette to my arm, a scream burst from my lips as she kept it there. Smoke curled into the sky, growls rumbling in my throat.

“How boring.” She whined , crushing the cigarette in her fingers. “Whatever.” A small glimmer of hope burned in her heart, a plan coming to mind. Perhaps I could talk my way out of this.  Wrathia was on her way after all, our chances of survival were slim. Clearing my throat, it was my turn to teach her a lesson. Boran shook his head to warn me to stop, a sly grin dancing across my lips.

“Do you want to fight on my team? I can take your curse off. Every now and then we get new people you can seduce if you desire.” I offered honestly while my dragon flames heated up the chains. “Bonus, you get to see me every day.” Narrowing her eyes in my direction, a swift kick knocked the chains to the worn wooden floor. Swiping her whip, my blue flames devoured the weapon. Grabbing her by the collar of her coat, her face flushed a bright ruby.

“I didn’t know you liked me this much!” She squealed jovially, cupping her face. “I would be honored. Do your thing, hon.” A white light glowed around my palm, my eyebrow twitching at how easy that went. Placing my hand on her stomach, her body squirmed with euphoria at the searing pain coursing through her. Giggling like a creep, concern mixed with the confusion in my eyes. The light died down, her shaking fingers lifting up her corset. A silver rose tattoo burned itself on her stomach, Boran looking just as lost as me. Dancing off my desk, she leaned forward.

“You will have to forgive me for my earlier behavior. I have mood swings.” She laughed jovially, pressing her palms together. “May I have a weapon?” Too stunned to speak, my eyes couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Blasting Boran’s chains with a ball of dragon’s flames, the chains clanked into a pile. Boran rose with bewilderment in his face, a silent spell from my lips producing an ivory whip. Tossing it to her, the whip cracked in the air. A gust of wind knocked me back, a steady stream of curse words flooded from my lips the moment I crashed into the wall. Boran rushed over to me, helping me to my feet. Kissing me on my forehead, he mouthed a silent apology. Did this woman have no concept of personal space?

“Are you sure about this?” He mumbled under his breath, his eyes darting between her dancing form and me. “She seems like a bit of an airhead.” A quick flick to my forehead stole my attention, Lust floated upside down her hair grazing the worn wooden floor. Folding my arms across my chest, now wasn’t the time to be messing around. Pulling her down by her wrist, her face was inches from mine.

“I fail to see how you can be so carefree but I need your h-” Pushing her out of the way, Wrathia smashed into me. A mix of emotions flickered in Lust’s eyes, Wrathia pinning me to the ground. Lacking my scythe, the fight was as good as lost in my eyes. Dragon flames built up around my dragon hand, a blast of flames sending her through the roof. Cutting my palm, the blood pooled into a puddle. Dipping my finger in the blood, my finger drew a summoning circle. The tips of my finger danced around to scrawl out the symbols. Slamming my palm onto the center of the circle, blood poured from my nose.

“My dear scythe, I call upon thee.” I commanded as Lust stepped out in front of me. Her whip created a wall of wind, Wrathia flying back each time. A small portal swirled, my hand disappearing into the hole. Ripping it out, Somata’s hands tossed up Boran’s club. Struggling to my feet, a busted Lust rolled to a stop inches from my toes. Raising my scythe in the attack position, Wrathia’s blade smashed into mine. Sparks drifted aimlessly, our blades were locked in a precarious position. Malice flickered in her eyes, the sight of Lust not moving frightening me. Inky blood pooled around her, the main objection was getting Lust to safety. If I ever needed a ride from Emmy, it was now. A train whistled in the distance, the heel of my boot slamming into her chest. Skidding back a good distance, Boran scooped up Lust. The ground quaked with each step towards me, her blades spinning in her palms. A crazed grin frightened me, her inability to feel any remorse stirred the urge to run in me. Vines snaked up my arms, silver water swirling around me. If only I could unlock her sister’s power, Lust groaning as her eyes fluttered open.

“If you want to wake up my sister’s power, you need to let go of your guilt.” She choked out, reaching for me. “Surely, you can do that. Like it or not, Dackworth and his father will be reborn. Technically that counts as alive.” Her words made sense, the gem where Dackworth’s eye once lived came to life. A bright light blinded us all, Wrathia screeching in pure agony. A rush of air blew my hair up, my ears swaying left and right. Embracing me from behind, her hands pointed to a white rose. Cupping it in my palm, a wave of power coursed through me. The vines, flames and water became one, wonder brightening my features. The light died down, all of the breath left Boran. An ivory dragon roared behind me, Wrathia showing fear for the first time. Wincing in pain, this much power was taking its toll on me. Blood poured from my eyes and nose, my body swaying. Charging at me, a swift swing sent all I had at her. Flaming vines whipped towards her, the silver water acting as a shield. The train pulled in, Boran hopping on. Leaping onto the train, my jaw dropped at the ray melting everything in its path. Leaning out the window, a busted Wrathia fell onto her face. Grateful for the survival, the war wasn’t over yet. Sliding down the wall, my eyes fell on the milky gem that replaced Dackworth’s eyes. Wiping the blood off of my face, every muscle screamed in protest as I struggled to my feet. Chugging out that dimension, an injured Lust moaned. Boran set her down on the nearest bench, Emmie rushing in with a medical kit. Brushing off my injuries, they would heal themselves in a couple of minutes. Plopping down next to her, I examined her body for any wounds. Lifting up her shirt, her pale face glistened with sweat. A gash greeted me, my stomach threatening to empty itself. Shaking off the nausea, Lust needed my assistance first.

“I thought you had to ask me out on a date first.” She teased, coughing up blood. Smiling kindly in her direction, several metal shards shifted in her stomach. Clearing my throat, it nearly proved impossible not to laugh.

“Nice.” I chuckled jovially, selecting the pliers. “I have to remove the shards before I heal you. We can’t have the metal creating an infection.” Cupping my hands, tears stained her cheeks. Yanking me into a desperate embrace, our two foot height difference showed by the way she kept burying my head into her ample breasts. Lifting up my chin with her finger, her thumb traced my cheek.

“I will never understand kind people like you. You get beat up and still help your enemy.” She exclaimed gently, taking the pliers from my hand. Thumps echoed over us, a silent fuck escaping my lips. Scooping up my scythe, Boran grabbed me by my waist. The emerald wool of my dress peeked through his fingers, a bloody Wrathia swinging in. Dark stains dotted her kimono, cracks covering her face. Huffing, she spat a glob of blood at my feet. Squirming out of Boran’s arms, Wrathia collapsed onto the floor. Raising my scythe in the air, an idea came to mind. Death would be too easy, a wicked grin dancing across my lips. Crouching down to her level, I grabbed her arm. Tracing a symbol along her forearm, a silver rose glowed to life. Rolling her over with my foot, curiosity twinkled in my eyes.

“I brought the real problem.” She coughed, spewing up blood. “I was running from a force darker than me that day. I am afraid you woke up the one who taught me everything that day, master. It sucks to say that. Can you protect me?” A shadowy figure swung in, the true spirit of darkness approaching me. His long black robes swayed with each step, his hood falling down.  Stringy ash gray hair covered his inky black eyes, his black lips curling into a haughty sneer. Pulling out a sleek onyx scythe, he pressed the blade to my throat. Somehow his aura was blacker than the darkest shadows, my heart rate picking up. Towering over me, his hand cupped my chin.

“Your size is deceiving.” He mused playfully, examining my face. “Not bad looking as well. You have so much power brewing in you. One question though, how the hell did you manage to steal two of my servants? Hell, you even killed one. Too bad you didn’t kill her. She is just a murderous freak. You picked the whore. You have no taste.” Slapping his hand away, deep laughter thundered in his throat.

“I would suggest you back the fuck down.” I returned vehemently, hiding my fear behind a defiant smile. “I did all of that out of something you lack.” Picking me up by my tail, my arms folded across my chest. What the hell was his deal?

“What’s that?” He teased snidely, Wrathia crawling to the nearest bench. “She is a heartless murderer and you can’t fix that.” Dropping me to the floor, he dusted off his palms. Marching up to him, my slender fingers snatching the collar of his robes. Yanking his face inches from mine, his power equaled my level.

“I wonder though. Did you push her in that direction, groomer?” I growled through gritted teeth, rage replacing my fear. “I am the queen of this land and I fully intend to take you d-” Clapping his hands, a puff of smoke whisked him away. Sinking down next to Wrathia, her pout pissed me off. Turning her back towards me, her wounds continued to bleed  profusely. Lust had already taken care of herself, her heels clicking over to assist her.

“I am so pissed at you.” She snapped hotly, allowing Lust to attempt to heal her. “I am only going to k-” Pinning her to the wall, her cracks began to heal. Sucking on my cheek, this woman was going to be the end of me. Her bones creaked underneath the swelling pressure, a defiant grin meeting mine.

“I wouldn’t do that, Wrathy. You will wake up very alive. If you attempt to murder another person including me you will have a heart attack.” I warned icily, showing her the tattoo. “I think you are twisted because no one showed you any love growing up.” Pinning me to the wall, Boran stepped up to protect me. Waving at him to step down, there was nothing she could do to me.

“I refuse to believe that a weakling like you defeated me.” She barked venomously, shaking her head. Cocking my brow, the corner of my lips twitched. Low growls rumbled in my throat, the car rattling the moment I tossed her onto the floor. Digging my heel into her chest, a jolt of electricity shocked her with each attempt to hurt me. Twitching underneath me, her energy had been drained. Taking no joy in this, tears welled up in my eyes. Tired, I was so tired. Removing my heel, my knees groaned the moment I laid down next to her. Turning her head towards me, confusion dawned on her face. Rolling over to face her, I was going to give her a decent life. A tear almost fell down her cheek, my hands cupping her scarred hands.

“Why are you being nice? I was the girl who loved to play with dead things. I didn’t kill things at first but so much rage built up. The volcano burst and all I wanted to do was kill to make the pain go away.” She admitted numbly, tears staining her cheeks. “I don’t deserve this. I am a monster.” Clutching her close to my chest, her emotions soaked my shoulders. Kissing the top of her head, her fingers gripped my dress.

“I don’t care about what you did. You can’t change the past but you can work towards a better future.” I comforted her warmly, the bitchy woman had crumbled into a small child. “I want to be your friend. Your sister had one flaw. She never attempted to help you. Do you trust me?” A pair of wet eyes met my kind gaze as a small crack appeared in her walls. Surprise widened my eyes at her touching my stomach with a quiet smile, a bit of white lining her black aura. Saying nothing, her head hit the floor. Snores echoed in my ears, a small bit of progress having been made. Refusing to let me go, Boran dropped a blanket over us. Laying down on the other side of me, his arm draped over my flat stomach.

“I love you, Daggers.” He whispered sweetly in my ear, kissing the top of my head. A glimmer of hope shined in my eyes, my goal was one step closer. Lady Mina, grant me the good luck I needed.
