Two in one

There was this place, couldn't even believe it exists and I was so glad to be here. It is so rare that places leave a deep impact on you. I looked around to look at them. They all were dressed in unusual outfits with no resemblance to human outfits. They were cartoonish I was able to identify all of the characters but not their real faces.

I still remember I was wearing a pink floral frock with hair tied in a plait.I grew so fond of that place that I left all my friends and started running to see more, to admire more, and to feel more. They all yelled but I could hear only my heart which asked me to run to shops run up to people talk and dance with them.

We were six of us including me. They all were my batchmates.I was miles away from my parent, being an international student and coming from small hometown the whole carnival was all exciting.

The stall had a big banner with people crowded on its table I peeped from the shoulders to find out they were predicting future partners with birth dates. All those who got answers such as "your husband would be handsome and you will meet soon" donated the shop guy good sum otherwise they denoted nothing. I wasn't interested so I ran up to the second stall. I was able to make out it was a food stall looking at the dishes people had in their hands.

My video recorder fell and the next moment I still had the sight in my brain, the beautiful milky eyes were helping me to collect my stuff. He smiled and we did a casual introduction he was a senior at my college. I looked around but was not able to spot any five of them. I left to look more at the carnival. I bumped on to nancy, nancy is a college magazine writer she was having a camera and notepad to make notes. She asked about my experience and then we departed after exchanging few talks.

Hours passed and I didn't look out for my friends hoping I would bump into them. I looked at my watch and realized that I had been walking around for 2 hours so I decided to call Emmy, my roommate. I called every one of them but they didn't pick. I panicked a little and decided to ask other colleagues but to my shock, they said they all haven't been here. At first, I thought some of them might have missed them but after asking 10 people and getting the same answer sent me chills and shivered. I had no idea for my next step. I was confused because I was not able to make out who was lost me or them. I called a hostel to ask for Emma but they said she had not been there. Of course, they could not be in trouble they were five of them. I looked around and then at my phone thinking whom should i call.

Then for a moment I recalled all the scenes, I realized that all those whom I was looking now were no longer cartoonish they were dressed normal. I couldn’t react , I froze how can people change. I searched for all the cartoons but they were no longer there. I saw my video camera, I ran to sit on bench and played all the videos so that I could figure out what is the scene.

I saw and video number 13 was the one I started seeing other faces. So I slowed down the video and then I realized that shop number 25 was the last shop of that carnival and after that while shooting I completely lost my way and took left from that shop which goes to other carnival of our seniors .Both the places are just separated by a cotton cloth, I mean how frivolous is this of me or them. I laughed and then ran up to that place , took right and then I could see all cartoons again. I spotted my friends , they all were together laughing and teasing each other. I ran up to them and asked them why weren’t they picking their calls up to which they replied that they were in snow game and they had to submit their phones and asked me where was I. I shouted at them “you guys don’t worry about me, you didn’t even looked around for me. They said that it was usual of me to run away at places so they didn’t worried much.I realized on how I was wrong to enjoy carnival all by myself instead of having fun with them. I joined them and decided to put  my camera aside to just enjoy myself.  

“Cheers”, all the friends said while sitting on the terrace to celebrate some last days from their high school days. Each friend started saying their own favourite memory. They all grew emotional recalling how they these years passed so soon. And they all will now be miles apart into their own fields.They stared at the stars while Emmy played the soft music.

So here while graduating I tell you all sitted here that college is the best part of life where you enjoy and also build yourself up and you take best of memories.
