Hi everyone! This is a story I'm really proud of, so I hope you enjoy! A couple things:
1 This is my first poem I've written on Reedsy! All feedback is appreciated!
2 I would like to dedicate this story to Aamena Khaki, who introduced me to Reedsy, and to Caramel Leaf, who introduced me to writing stories! Thank you both so much!

I've witnessed a murder.
That much is true.
Perplexing thoughts.
Of which I'll tell you.
From cursed mirrors.
To an ugly sweater.
To movies and shows.
You knew better.
You knew not to.
Listen to the voice.
The voice in your head.
Saying, "You have no choice."
"You're ugly."
"Pathetic."
"Freak."
To the point you were apologetic.
Yet when you looked in the mirror.
You didn't see these things.
No, what you saw,
It was you who had wings.
An angel you were.
Guiding others through rough times.
For you learnt that the mirror.
Didn't have control over your eyes.
Over what you see.
Or who you were.
Or how you looked.
Sometimes it wasn't all a blur.
Yet there was someone you couldn't save.
Save them from their end.
This person shook you.
Since she was your best friend.
For it started on,
A chilly January day.
Two popular girls.
Walked up your way.
"Hey, I like your sweater,"
Said one sarcastically.
"It reminds me of trash,"
Said the other drastically.
They circled around you two.
Malice in their voice.
Telling you lies.
Your friend makes the choice.
Over the years,
Your best friend start to listen
Listen to the mirror
To their vision.
She didn't realize.
How perfect she was.
Inside out.
Only because:
What people see
Isn't true
But then you listen to them
It affects what you do
To how you dress
To how you eat
To how you think
You feel incomplete
You feel like
You'll never be enough
Until the day
You're fed up
You ignore these words
You believe again
For self doubt won't affect you
So you help others in pain.

ALWAYS remember, you're special in your own way! Never believe what people think of you! If they don't see the real you, then let them hate. Let them stare. Let them joke. You're beautiful inside out, and if they can't see that, then they're blind. I can see it. Even though I've never met you. Even though I've never seen you, I KNOW you're beautiful. I know your special. I know your perfect. Don't let words affect you. And if you've come out of a rough battle, help others in pain too. Tell them to repeat this:

I kinda have a regular idea for a story on here and not a novel, I kind of want to do it as a audio/voice log if that makes sense. But I've never done it before and I don't think anyone else has, so I need some help on what to do and all that.

I think I've read a story where someone did something like that. They put the log in quotations, and put what the character said, like this: "Log 31: I've been following the footprints for three days, still no lead. Should I continue?"

No it isn't annoying! It's going good so far, although I'm redoing the face constantly- I'm going to sent you a photo tomorrow, sorry I keep forgetting!

It just keeps messing up. I draw one eye and it looks nice, but when I put them together it keeps looking a bit wacky-

The face is the last part of Evelyn I need to draw, apart from the hands. So after that I'm gonna need to draw Freddy. So about 2 weeks-? More or less
