Adventure

Summers in India can be extremely unforgiving. When the mercury rises to above 40C, the high altitude mountains are a welcome respite. From the gigantic Himalayan mountains in the north to the emerald green tea plantation hills in the south, there are a multitude of places to visit in summer in India. Our summer vacation plan was the most memorable one. We planned a short trip to Goa. Though the climate was hot in Goa also, the trip was really a mind refresher. We were able to relax in the beach during the evenings. The waves moving up and down gave us peace of mind and the beach time gave us chance to talk with our family without any hindrance after a long time. We saw many fisherman moving in to the sea and catch fish. We also got many valuable things as a remembrance of Goa. Goa is definitely one of the best places one should visit at least once in a lifetime. Train journeys are quite exciting, interesting and comfortable too. Train is in fact one of the most comfortable and economical mode of travel for long distances. I have travelled to several places by train and made some of the best memories during these journeys. Those have been the most relaxing and thrilling journeys of my life. Watching villages, cultures, houses as you sped across the countryside, has always pricked my curiosity for better. It’s fascinating that how a train journey could enhance your knowledge about cultures, regions, languages and cuisines. The journey is like reading a book which has all the ingredients to keep you entertained till the destination. Another, advantage of a journey by train is that it gives an opportunity to interact with people with completely different ethnicity and linguistic backgrounds. I have gone on many train journeys with my family as well as friends. Travelling by train is comfortable and enjoyable. I always prefer train journeys over road trips for the experience they offer. I have made great memories on these trips. While I have enjoyed all my train journeys, my train travel from Delhi  to Goa is the closest to my heart. A railway station is a halting place for the trains. At present, railway station are quite common in India. There are a number of railway stations by the sides of the railways.

But all the stations are not of equal size. Some are very small and some are very big. Some are of mediocre type. The big-sized stations are very small in number. They are situated generally at the railway junctions, the capital towns and the commercial centers.

The special features of a big railway station are a row of buildings for the railway office room, waiting rooms,, police station, mail-service, restaurants, book-stalls, the railway platforms with sheds overhead, the railway over bridges, the railways bells and the railway signal posts.

In the railway office buildings we see the stationmaster's office, the assistant stationmaster's office, the enquiry office, the office of the goods-clerk, the office of the booking clerk and the office of the time-keepers. In the booking office, there is a window through which the passengers purchase the tickets.

In the railway station there are two grades of waiting rooms for the passengers. The upper class waiting-room is meant for the upper class ticket holders. The lower class waiting room is meant for the lower class ticket-holders.

I came at my hometown during my holidays, then I spent almost half month at my home ,vacations over and then time then plan to visit Goa with family members.  I packed my suitcase with full of hope and head to the railway station. We reached  at railway station ,we were waiting for the train, and then we heard the train whishle, and I bored on the boggie with my suitcase .

I greatly enjoyed this railway journey as I gained some valuable experiences during it. The train started from Delhi, the green fields and trees around looked marvelously beautiful. The sight of the fruit gardens was even more comforting. The mangoes, hanging by the branches, were an inviting sight, and I could only desire to reach them. The other sights were even more enchanting, for example, farmers cutting the wheat crop and watering the fields. Serious passengers lovingly watched the mud houses of villagers with their animals grazing in the fields around. I, for one, was filled with the irresistible desire to go to these houses and sit with the villagers and talk with them. But the train moved on, and newer scenes came in full view, and they, too, were left behind like seconds, minutes and hours past and gone. at 8 on a June morning. The sunrays were hitting our compartment directly, so we had to put down the shutters over the windows. Somehow, the weather became cloudy at noon, and we drew up the shutters for full light and for having a view of the fields on both sides of the railway track.

I have a cute little red suitcase bag. It is very useful and helps me to keep my belongings safe. I carry my expensive, personal diary. I have a secret that I like to keep

between me and God alone, I put my words into a diary and my respect for Him is shown.

I write down my favorite scriptures and God's words are just a start, It's where I keep religious poetry as it comes straight from my heart. I jot down personal feelings and I pen a sincere prayer, my faith grows stronger every day when I read what I wrote there. I feel closer to God in heaven through the words that I write, I know that He is there for me

when my troubles are in sight. I even note bad times in life and how God helped me through, my diary is the key to peace as my written words are true. The best gift I ever received is none other than my grandparents, given to me by God on my birthday. Nowadays, not every child is fortunate enough to have both grandparents to nurture them. The green fields and trees around looked marvelously beautiful.

We were traveling in a first-class compartment. At the start of the journey, it was packed to capacity. As the train stopped at a few stations, quite a few of the passengers left, and the compartment was partly empty. Now I could stretch my arms and legs at ease and hoped to enjoy sleep after lunch. Three hours later, the train suddenly stopped in an open place. It was surely not a railway station. I looked out and tried to see what had happened. We were surprised to see three men running out of a railway compartment towards the fields. A number of passengers and police officers were running after them. Soon they caught the three men who were thieves or dacoits. Other strange, and also shocking, incidents upset me during this long railway journey. A passenger in our compartment found someone else’s suitcase in place of his own. Then some passengers discovered a briefcase, lying unattended under a lower seat. The railway police were called, who found a bomb in it. The briefcase was taken away, but there was a lot of disturbance all over the train. The train was now moving quite fast towards Multan. On the way, some singers came into our compartment. They were singing film songs and folk songs. One of them was a woman who sang beautifully, and at times tried to dance in the narrow space. Even more interesting than the study of the different characters of my fellow passengers was the variety of the scenery through which the train passed. As the train hurred at the speed of forty miles per hour panorama of the scenery passed before my eyes. At one time the train passed through a dense forest. Then the scene changed and the train plunged into a deep valley and wakened the echoes of a rocky and barren mountain district. Then we crossed a mighty river which was in rapid motion. The leaping of waters on the banks could be heard from a distance. Nature was most gorgeous there, and it was green and green all around. I note it down all the view and incidents in my personal diary and kept it in the small suitcase that I have. The only difference perphaps lay in the certain of the journey’s duration ,while in life, we never know when our station arrives and we have to take leaves of our relations. So lets’s not waste precious moments of wonderful journey of life.

As for me, I am lucky to be raised by two loving grandparents. They provide shelter and care so that we can live comfortably. The little suitcase(got first journey gift from grandparents ) was very precious gift in my life because I kept my personal dairy and some memorable things inside the little suitcase bag .
