I'm an old cowhand, from the Rio Grande. Almost. I arrived about 150 years too late to be an "old cowhand". But I'm an author who lives in the desert southwest of the United States -- within spitting distance of the mighty Rio Grande, in fact. I draw inspiration from the spectacular geology here, the perceived isolation and the vibrant multicultural society.
