Fiction Friendship Holiday

“Well, let’s get started” Eric exclaimed. It was a cold winter day and a group of friends decided to create the biggest cookie they could. At first, they were trying to think of a way to make it work but they couldn’t find a way. After spending an hour thinking about how it would work, they went to the store and bought all of the cookie dough that the store had. After the group of friends went to 5 different stores to get cookie dough they finally had enough to make a gigantic cookie. When they got back to Eric’s house they dumped all of the shopping bags filled to the top with cookie dough onto the kitchen counter. When all of the cookie dough was on the counter the group started to organize the dough by the different flavours they had gotten. Once the cookie dough was organized into groups everyone started to think of how they would cook it. After an hour Eric thought of making his pan to cook it in, but that wouldn’t work because that would take too long to create. Instead, they got all of the baking pans and put them together to make a big square. After they had gotten the pans laid out the group started to unwrap the cookie dough and put it onto each of the baking pans until the pan was filled with the cookie dough. Once an hour passed by they only had finished half of the pans and they were starting to get bored so Eric started to throw the extra cookie dough at people and that started a cookie dough fight. When the cookie dough fight was over they had to walk around the house and clean up the mess they had made. After they had cleaned up the mess that they made they realized that they had wasted a lot of the cookie dough so they had to go back to the store to get more cookie dough. On the way to the store, everyone promised not to through the cookie dough anymore and work on the giant cookie they had planned to make in the first place. Once they got back from the store they had to organize the cookie dough back into piles so they could continue working on the giant cookie. It was twelve in the morning and they finally finished putting all of the cookie dough onto the baking pans. At that time everyone was super tired and they wanted to go to bed but they knew that they had to find out a way to bake the giant cookie. Once they thought of it for a bit the group decided to send two people back to the store to get energy drinks and food so they could stay up longer to complete making the cookie. After the two people came back from the store everyone took a break to eat and drink before they got back to work. Once they were finished eating they started to continue making the giant cookie. Once all of the baking pans had cookie dough on them they put each pan into the one until they were almost cooked, once they were all cooked they put them together on the kitchen counter. When the cookie was laid out on the counter everyone wanted to put the icing on it. Once they all decided they wanted to put icing on it they decided to let it cool overnight and then go out to the store to get a whole bunch of icing. The group of friends only got 6 hours of sleep because they were so excited to finish making the giant cookie. When everyone in the group was awake and ready to go they all got into the car and started on their journey to the store for the fourth time in the two days that they were making the giant cookie. Once at the store they got all of the icings that they could find in that store. Once they had everything they needed from the store they went home and started mixing all of the icings with the colours that were needed to make a Christmas tree design. When they had all the colours mixed they started to plan out where the design would go on the cookie. Once they had all of it planned out they started to fill in the outline of the tree in the middle of the cookie. After a few hours, they finally finished creating and making the giant cookie so they took a lot of photos and uploaded them to social media. A couple of hours after they posted the pictures on social media they got a lot of comments from other people saying “that is the biggest cookie I have ever seen“ and “that cookie should win a reward”. After they kept seeing the comments they decided to look up the biggest cookie and see if the cookie was bigger than the biggest cookie. After they looked it up they measured the cookie and it was just a few centimetres off of being the biggest cookie ever, after finding out that information they contacted a baking show to see if they could show off their cookie. Sadly the baking show couldn’t accept the request because they couldn’t come and broadcast it to the tv. After all, there was a really bad snowstorm that happened that caused many stores and places to shut down due to the amount of snow and ice. The group was so sad that they couldn’t have their cookie on tv so the debated on if they should eat it or save it, everyone in the group decided to eat the cookie because they put so much hard work into making the cookie they thought that the should enjoy the cookie that they made together as a group of best friends. In the end, everyone was excited to spend the holidays together and to eat the cookie together in front of an open fire with some hot chocolate sharing stories.

This is a sweet story! I would suggest re-arranging your formatting so that it's not just one big paragraph; Have it broken up into segments. You had a nice idea for the prompt, but I noticed that you leaned towards telling me what was happening rather than showing me. You should give everyone in the friend group names, and then we can know how many friends are banding together to make this. You tend to repeat word choices in sentences, try mixing up what descriptive language you use! This is a good start Morgan, I'll be excited to see what ...
